Spa Updated Mini Track Guide With Pedal Inputs - ACC
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 5 фев 2025
- The last Spa lap guide I made didnt have any visual pedal inputs on screen so after many comments about that I decided to make this, hopefully it is helpful in some way.
NOTE:
Remember these braking and acceleration points and the way I do it here may be different in other cars. It just takes some experimenting to find what works in different cars.

Great! The hot lap and set up with commentary with tips at the end is gold.
What's more interesting than throttle inputs is weather conditions. If you show your weather/track preset every time - that will answer many questions. This plays a huge role, most people use default hotlap preset with hot weather, that's why they wonder why their times are a lot slower than yours.
I know you say you see these alongside the existing lap guides but the older guides were most useful to myself and my team mates regards the braking points you point out. That's what makes your videos much better than other track guides, it was also the length of them (like this one) nice and short so you can watch them through again as a refresher just prior to qualification or a race.
If I were to ask anything it would be to put the brake point references into the updated videos so we only need to go to one place. Otherwise I can see myself going to the older videos for repeat viewing/reminders more often than these updated ones.
But please keep them up! I find them essential to give me a chance.
This is soo much better! No more guessing on setup you’re running and THANK YOU!
(Also, thanks for the commentary at the end, it goes a long way for strugglers like me).
In the past I've always run with the default aggressive setup but this time I've used a setup because I'm currently in preperation for an endurance race at spa. Thanks for the comment! Appreciate it
Eau Rouge! Where dreams are made and hearts are broken! Great lap and video mate!
Gratz and Thx !! I am newbie in sims and have got 2:17.5 only after half year of simracing. Your movies are very helpful !
These guides are great! Whenever I look for ACC lap guides I look here first.
Will certainly be using this in my 6 hour race, will still probably be doing 2:20's though
check the brake pads... I'm not sure if you can use set #1 for a 6h race.
@@anonino_sem_nome We're using pad 2, but I just joke because I'm slow af
Amazing guides! Thank you!!!
I know we have the older videos where you show when to bake, but it would be interesting to see that also on this video's with the new physics! All in one would be awesome (braking points + throttle/brake inputs + mistakes)
Thanks for sharing the setup! Very quick lap, im still on the 2:20s - 2:19s. I'll try out your setup and see where i'll land. Cheers!
Wow... I really like the mistake discussion!
If i do full throttle while turning slightly on the 2nd gear i lose the car, how do you do that on TC 1 ?
good videos mate... I like also your setups. Took your setup for GT-R and broke my record from McLaren in all tracks. Pretty much kept just slightly more aero for the races.
Thank you mate. From someone who can only get 2.23 😂 time to practice
Excelent guide. Thank you for your work.
Spot on. Simple as that
Thanks a lot from S.Korea!!
Very good, thank you for your help
Great livery man
Officials when you got 1mm too close to the track limit: *HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT! x2*
Hello, I have just bought a wheel and ACC, it’s not the most expensive one and doesn’t have ffb but it’s fun, would you say a 2:22.9 is an okay lap for a beginner around SPA? I haven’t touched set up at all or TC and ABS, all I have done is make it manual gearbox and turned stability control off, Thankyou!
That's a great time! Especially considering you dont have any force feedback. I'd say that youd be able to take another second or 2 off of that after extra practice since you have just got ACC. Great work!
@@unleasheddrivers1281 Wow Thankyou so much for the kind words! I know I’ve still got a lot to learn and so hopefully I can get into the 21s with some more practice, I’m just happy to know that I’m not completely useless😂great video and lap btw! You have gained a subscriber and a fan!
@@jackharris8543 what’s your laptime now after 6 months of this comment ?
@@Jimmybrianmike I don’t play it quite as much now but still try to as much as I can, my best is now a 2:21.390 but I feel like there is a high 2:20 if I do my perfect lap, I just can’t quite string it together for the life of me😂
I loved your old guide, and this is nice to see since I use the lambo myself. Is there a link to the telemetry for this so I can see what I'm still doing incorrectly? Thanks again!
awesome drive.. which corners should you trail brake
Nice lap, I am still at low 17s. Do you plan on doing community races in the future?
I do want to have community events again, when we tried this before we had low turnouts so I'd like to try again when we have more interest
@@unleasheddrivers1281 Oh okay then :)
Thank you!
Whenever I brake, my brake inputs flash (indicating ABS thus losing time) even if I am really careful and don't "slam" on the brakes and ease it in like I should. How do you manage to keep the ABS from setting in throughout the whole damn lap? I also watched some of your other videos and the ABS never seems to engage.
Dont be too worried about using the ABS, the same thing is happening for me. The ABS isnt noticeable in replay mode which is what I use to record these videos and same with traction control
first! thank you for your videos!! Helps a lot
I didn't see you trail brake at all during that lap...unless you count the down-shift throttle blips?
YESSSS
Hey Brandon, im mainly driving bmw m4 gt4 and i was wondering while driving in spa, especially at rouge. Should i just lift while going through that or blip the brakes? because m4 is quite understeery car and its pretty hard to go through rouge with it.
I just tried this and from what I can tell after a couple of attempts in hotlap mode, in Eau Rouge and Raidillon it seems faster to lift instead of brake, but in less grippy conditions it would be worth experimenting with. Try a lap touching the brake, then a lap without it. Notice on the Delta if you gained or lost time after Raidillion
@@unleasheddrivers1281 thanks for input, i will try that ^^
need more practice in this track, for some reason i try to brake earlier in order to exit fast but in this track my exit is slow too
What weather conditions is best to run for hotlapping? Like time of day, cloud cover and temp
I am not sure exactly but I'd assume having the temperatures really low would be optimal. In this video the track temperature was around 26c
thanks for the video, and what about damper settings?
I didnt touch them here, honestly I dont really understand that section of setup. I hear to get that area right its important to use the data from Motec software which I don't really know how to set up properly
I did not see traction control being applied
Could you please do the same for monza?
I suck so bad at the middle sector and can only manage 2:21s and sometimes of I'm lucky a High 2:20. Sad boi bours
and dampers?
Is rev-matching on downshift required on these GT3 cars?
No it is automatically done by the car
missing the dampers setting in video.
I didnt change anything there that's why I don't show it
@@unleasheddrivers1281 oké tnxs. On controller dropt to 2.27
What wheel are u using and what recommendations do you have for beginner sim racers?
I (Brandon) am using the Logitech G920 wheel and the Fanatec V3 pedals, the G920 is good for starting off in sim racing, with the standard G920 pedals after some time you may experience sticking and spiking with the potentiometer and you will have to spray them with an electronic cleaner of some sort. Upgrading to the V3 pedals was a really good move in my opinion, I feel more consistent on the brakes with the load cell. I feel like I'm nearly ready for a wheel upgrade after about 3 years of sim racing on the g920 but it has sure been fine as a starter set.
@@unleasheddrivers1281 Thank you i appreciate the reply because now i realize that the speed of a driver isn't dependent on the wheel they use but their skill in general. ( evident by how you are able to do quick lap times around the various tracks )
I think force feedback is very important to having good pace, you need to be able to feel and notice subtle details in what the car is doing so that you can react and give the correct inputs. I'd say belt driven or direct drive wheels would definitely make this detail clearer but personally I am able to detect these details with the wheel that I have. It takes a lot of patience and concentration to know what the car is doing, understanding how you're moving the weight around the car is extremely important to know where your limits are and this comes through the force feedback in your wheel so the better wheelbase, the clearer that detail becomes but as long as you learn to feel the limits of your car, that will give you pace. I didnt expect to bring this all up but I think it's worth noting
@@unleasheddrivers1281 Hi! Thanks for the guides! It's helped a lot. I have the same wheel (G29). Could you tell me your FFB settings? (gain, min. force dynamic damping, road effects)
Hia I havent changed any ffb settings other than gain which is at 85%
4:20 extra dip
Try 0 rear wing I did a mid 16 last time
I tried not to go too deep into qualy level setups as I want this to still be relevant for races too but yeah low aero works a treat for quick laps at this track
0 rear wing!? How do you go through Eau Rouge?
You did "mistakes" despite that time 😂😂.. while I'm wondering how I would lower my 2:20's, I think my amg setup is having a turn-in understeer on turn 10
2:22 😭
And then there's me with 2:28..
I do this and get 2:23 lol halp
Thank you!
