Just started simracing and this series really is gold! Was running 2:12 now I'm running 1:59s. Still got a lot of improvement but your guide alone dropped 12s. I want to get to sub 1:50s.
...also the recommended gears may differ dependig on the car. It might be necessary to shift down to 1st instead of 2nd and 2nd instead of 3rd. For example with Aston Martin or Jaguar due to their longer gear ratios in the lower gears.
THANK YOU, I play with the AM and I this was driving me crazy, I even commented in here that I can only do the second chicane on 1st gear, the two right corners after the second chine in 2nd and the parabolica in 2nd
9 hours into playing ACC. Your guide just helped me get from a 1:55.9 fastest time with an average in the 1:57's (if I could string consistent laps together) to a 1:54.4 best and an average of 1:54.9 with little/no issue in terms of crashing out. Keep up the great work
Have just started ACC last couple of weeks I used to play F1 from codemasters but the less said about that the better. Monza is my first ever league race and I very much appreciate this track guide. It's helped me out immensely
I've just started SIM racing. ACC is my favourite game I've tried. I'm slowly learning. Started with a controller on PS5. Moved to a T300 wheel on my gaming PC. Much better. Trying to learn this track in career mode. This guide should help. Thanks
Honestly the best track guide I've ever seen. I know Monza pretty well but still watched every minute and even picked up on a few little things I hadn't thought of.
First tile ever on the track and on the game i did 1:59’s after a week or so of reguarly playing i got 1:52’s after this video i hit a 1:49:450 thanks dude!!
Holy shit, thank you! I was running 1:57's now I'm running 1:52's. I couldn't figure out where I was losing time turns out I was being waaay too shy on the first lesmo
Thanks Yorkie. Just wondered how to share 1-2s of my 1:50.6 in 720S. I think I am downshifting too much and losing traction out of corners. Please, keep doing these series :) Awesome and helpful videos
I'm new to your content, and I just started AC and ACC. Monza is my favorite track on these games (with vanilla content, anyways), and I know the approach very well. This video made me a subscriber. Great information for each corner, and to have a full lap at the end to put it all together, that's how a track guide should be done! Excellent video, looking forward to more!
I'm master of the suckage, but somehow I got everything right, before even watching your video. even down to each gear, except turn 7, I like going to 2nd gear. really cool video!
Now this is a completely normal solid lap. Everything looks perfect. What it don't get is how there are people who do 1:45s by stopping at least 50m later, full on brakes and no ABS activation, the car slows down like it hits a wall and then accelerates way faster.
@shaneoriordan8988 Na more likely it's utilizing the setups in very weird ways to exploit the physics engine in game. Take a look at pro level setups, dampers and shit are all setup extremely counterintuitive in order to get more grip by exploiting bugs in the physics calculations. Which I mean I guess is sorta fair in the sense that a real team is exploiting any loophole in the rules to gain time in their setups and they arent modifing game files, but it also means those top times, while still needing driver skill, are more a testament to setup engineering than true driver skill.
This is an amazing initiative!! I love Scott Mansells track guides, but I'm really happy to see you doing this! Thanks for keeping the material coming!
@@Moonfaster yep, just search 'Yorkie In depth track guide'. They're on the old F1 codemasters games though, like, F1 2012 old so not sure how good they'll be for you these days 😂
@@Yorkie065 Haha maybe! But it's alway a joy just watching your material anyway. Do you have a place where I can ask questions to you, or do you only give out advice in like paid lessons?
Thanks for this, its come just at the right time. Been trying to learn the track over the last couple of days to get a fairly decent setup sorted. Must have done about 100 laps so far. This has helped out on a few spots around the circuit that I feel slow on.
I am so happy that you are doing this for ACC... thank you, Yorkie! I really need help to be more consistent. Would you consider providing a suggested setup for the car you are using for each track? Last week I used your Bentley setup at Nurburgring and shaved a few seconds off my PB 😊.
first of all fantastic vid I have subscribed. Not sure about turn nine, you don't mention an apex , the info box points quite late in the turn and I can only presume the info box is pointing out the guttering we should avoid. Your drive at the end of the vid kind of proves it. Only mentioning it as I have so much trouble with this point in the lap. Thanks again.
Just picked this up yesterday, and while practicing I made a beautiful pass through turns 8 and 9, but jumped the gun on turn 10 and my car was YEETED.
Thanks for the indepth track guide! I'm just getting into ACC and I can barely do 1:49:6.. after these tips I think I can push it to the 48's. It seems I've been too easy on the Ascari and have been struggling to get a decent entry to Parabolica thus ruining the important exit. Though I was close to your suggestion, just not quite there yet. I realized to use the track crew guy as a full throttle marker on exit, but entry was still a guessing game.
I might do a wet lap for the future tracks but they're more tricky to get right and vary a bit more from car to car too. That's why I didn't put a wet lap in for this one and instead just explained which curbs to use and which to avoid as generally that is the same across all cars.
Excellent video and guide. I'm struggling a lot do find a good pace using manual shifting and hidden race lines (I was used to them). Hopefully I'll get better soon.
I think you might? know that what brought me to your channel as a sub in the first place - was your brilliant Nordschleife How-To for AC, Yorkie065. Great track guide Yorkie. Does anyone have the complete list of tracks in Competizione? I have checked the official web page and can find no track listing only images.
I really struggle with your track guides. You show a photo of the exit or part of the track with no line or direction, so when I am new to a track I completely lose my bearings and have no idea were I am coming from or going to. Apart from that they are really useful and very detailed. Maybe a small image when you show a photo showing where the you are on the track and what direction you are travelling.

How do you "Look to apex" when turning ? I see your camera points to the apex when turning
I think it's the helmet cam since it is from the eyes of the driver he's going to look where he wants to go.
Pls do for all tracks...
how many hours of practice does it take to bring a 1:53 time to 1:48?
My best is 1 47 .7 I thought I was fast.... then I saw drivers getting 1.46.0!!!!
