Favorite F1 track, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve... Apart from the fact I live in Montreal, the history behind the track, the numerous grand prix it had held over the years, the people who have won there, it's all stuff of legends, not to forget the unforgiving wall of champions, and those mean straights, you win at Gilles Villeneuve, you are a world champion in the making!

Spa because it has very fast sectors with curves and sectors locked with medium speed curves and ends with a chicane in 2nd gear! Beautiful. Greetings from Argentina Nico!
He’s starting a family life not a dangerous driving life, you have to respect his choice. He has achieved his life ambition of being an F1 driver now is the next chapter in life. You will understand when you get older :)
@@stephen729 its still very dangerous, remember Anthoine Hubert? Its a horrible example with the worst that can happen, and thats f2 with less horsepower
Spa for sure. It's the most beautiful, high speed, thrilling, scary and multi faceted track with a range of everything. Long straights, different types of corners, longest lap distance, highest elevation changes. Then there is also the gorgeous backdrop and environment where it's located. I have always loved it and think it's the highest skilled track circuit on the calendar.
My favourite would be imola, it's got a great balance of fast straights and tight and hard braking zones, plus we've got great memories from it but one that isn't so great
I hope Nico continues with these series for both, dry and wet. If he does, it would become some of the most invaluable resources online when it comes to racing information.
Thanks, Nico. The wet lap was very educational. The thing that surprises me most about your commentary is how many times you said to limit the upshifts and downshifts when the tires are being loaded to produce lateral grip. I had previously thought that the shift algorithms for F1 gearboxes would manage torque during the transients and allow the driver to shift without concern for upsetting the car. And you also said at the start of the lap to drive in one gear higher than you would in the dry. During the wet lap, you were also adjusting your line to keep the outside wheels of the car off of the laid-down rubber, and to avoid turning in standing water. These are all kinds of things that I do in my old Camaro, so I feel validated! I'm going to link this to my track buddies, then maybe they won't think I'm crazy for driving off-line in the rain.
It's always a pleasure of mine to watch someone who knows exactly what they are doing. Its a satisfying feeling. Japanese chefs making ramen is another therapeutic exercise I'd recommend.
You're the best Nico, thankyou for doing these 'tutorials'. A few weeks ago I decided to drive the Monaco track for all 78 laps just to see what it's like...I NEARLY DIED from exhaustion; I've never been to tired and stressed out, and this was just me alone on the track with no g-forces etc etc. It would be great to see a Monaco tutorial and hear from you what it's like.
Suzuka is unmatched. The first sector is so hard but nailing it on f1 2020 with no assists is golden. The entire track after the Dunlop curve, spoon, 130R and the Casio triangle are all great corners in their design and their history. Not the best to overtake but a quali lap there is sweet :)
My most favorite track is Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Canada. I really like the flow of the track, fast corners after straights where every mistake cost you lot of time and speed. Casino corner where exit is super important and then Wall of the Champions before finish line.
Spa. Feels like you are going somewhere. The weather and the scenery. The flow. The importance of getting the laps right, as there are so few of them during a race. Thank you, Nico. Great analysis. Might be the longest lap I've ever seen at Spa. Miss you on track. Happy you are involved in commentating on Sky, and here.

I like when you tell us the Brake Bias you use because it’s very much the same as mine and it’s good to know I was using the correct bias in game to real life. Thank you for these videos. Their awesome.
My favourite track is Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. It was my first and only F1 race, and it also came just after the birth of my first child. It was 2011 and one of the best races ever, especially since I was a Button fan. I couldn't believe the sound of hte V8 engines, we could hear them from miles away from the track, and trackside they would shake your body. My father in law and I sat out in the rain forever waiting for the restart and were rewarded with an amazing finish, especially since we were sitting at the Turn 6 stands and went crazy when Vettel half spun with Button chasing him. It was so excited I watched the race again at home.
Absolutely - its also been on the F1 calendar just about every year since 1950 - and has a lot of history associated with it, both good and bad. Plus, its easy to get to - just take the train and then you don't have any traffic jams.
Interlagos, great track, start/finish straight is just awesome, greatly complemented by Senna S, so much elevation change. So many epic races, specially in wet,

Thanks for your great commentary last week on SKY... it was great to hear your live analysis as the in car camera showed them during their lap and the little tips like Lewis’s engineer rubbing his foot on the track to get the grip off the track before the start... I wish more ex-drivers gave us these types of subtle tips that an average viewer like myself would never even know to look for... all the best, oh and nice to see you and Lewis communicating again.
I think Monaco because it's such a beautiful spectacle and the qualifying is so intense, though spa is definitely a close second. I'm also only a very new f1 fan and can only talk about the few grands prix I've seen in the past 15 days, and honestly finding your channel has been such a pleasure and is a great insight for a new fan like me and it makes you appreciate a lot more the pressure the drivers are put under and all the fine details that can make a difference so thank you!
Nico, I have been an avid F1 fan for 30 years, and I have learned alot of new things in this video! Thank you very much! Spa is my best sim track, but the Gilles Villeneuve circuit is my prefered track to watch F1 races, always plenty of action.
My favourite F1 track is Baku in Azerbaijan. Theres no greater feeling in the game when you top 220 MPH on the straights. I cant even begin to imagine the rush that would give you in real life
Thank you, Nico, it is really a joy to watch and listen to someone with the real experience and a true champion to share his vast knowledge and experience. Keep up with god work. Greetings from Osijek, Croatia. :)
Thanks for the awesome commentary and analysis Nico. It's amazing how many things are going on simultaneously at such a fast pace and having to manage it all. You guys are from a different galaxy.
Great question and not an easy anwser. If I had to pick one I’d have to say Monaco. I love the tight fast cornering and the walls feeling like your driving in a construction zone at 200. The track also has a level of class that is second to none. When I think of F1 I think of the best in the world, the elite, and that’s what Monaco is known for and exudes. Monaco and F1 go hand in hand for me. Where else are you going to have an entire marina of super yachts watching cars flying by? But the most importantly is it’s one of the most challenging and I love that. Side note I love the videos Nico. I don’t follow much on RUclips but these track walkthroughs are pure gold. Keep it up man!!
Nico Rosberg is such a good host, I like his informal approach to this channel. Very conversational and makes you feel like you're involved with the discussion even tho he's just talking by himself.
My favorite track on the calendar is Paul Ricard, because it has the best overtaking and has produced amazing races over the years since its return, the big run-off areas also make it very exciting because the drivers have a massive margin for error so they are never on the limit, like they would be in Monaco, where they are all scared to do anything
My favourite track is Singapore. I always love when F1 go there, the atmosphere is great with the race being in the night. The track itself is really cool and challenging, also I love the sound of the engines when the cars do 250+ kph right in the middle of the city. It isn’t always easy to overtake there but the races are always very exciting due to the walls sometimes coming a bit to close, that combined with the heigh temperatures makes the race really demanding for the drivers, something that we all want to see!
Thanks a lot for these insights. This is by far the most interesting F1 channel, especially watching the Track How To's from a real professional Cheers!
My favourite is Spa Franchorchamps because of its layout and Eau Rouge, that used to be so dangerous and also because of my two favourite driver Häkkinen and Räikkönen always drove so well there. Häkkinen did the most epic overtake of all time of Schumacher there in 2000 and Räikkönen won 2009 when I was there and watched live, my only visit to F1.
My Favourite F1 track of all time is an old one, not on the calendar any more but the Nurburgring Nordschliefer because it's so long and takes years to even come close to mastering all the corners but when you do get confident on that track, it's the most amazing place to drive. Makes you feel as one with the earth on that track. It's one of those magical places where you forget you're actually driving. It's like a zen experience and the most rewarding although it's the only track other than Brands Hatch and the Silverstone short circuit I've ever been on, in real life at least.
This was awesome, thank you Nico for doing this. It’s great insight and you also clearly understand the engineering of your car to high level unlike some other drivers. I never thought I would get this kind of analysis from a world champ. Keep them coming!
My favorite track is Monaco, a part of the triple crown, the iconic unchangeable layout and the prestige. It is also a very hard track and you have to be very brave to overtake. It is the jewel in the F1 calendar.
Nico you definitely need to give a comeback man.. You still have a lot of knowledge about each tracks and the turns that come in it.. You look like you can do racing again someday.. Maybe you definitely need a comeback for sure

The way Rosberg react to heavy braking you know he has experienced real 6g braking

Nico's explanation is always very clear, but man, I totally love his voice. Very pleasant to listen to.
How did he predict the weather 1year before 😳😂
nico. the detail insight you give is absolutely awesome and unheard from anyone else. thanks!
Listening to him explain this in depth makes it look so treacherous(probably is lol)
Who else is watching this while waiting?
Nico, I have been an avid F1 fan for 30 years, and I have learned alot of new things in this video! Thank you very much!
Spa is my best sim track, but the Gilles Villeneuve circuit is my prefered track to watch F1 races, always plenty of action.
This video became very relevant today
My favourite F1 track is Baku in Azerbaijan. Theres no greater feeling in the game when you top 220 MPH on the straights. I cant even begin to imagine the rush that would give you in real life
George Russel must have been listening
Thank you, Nico, it is really a joy to watch and listen to someone with the real experience and a true champion to share his vast knowledge and experience. Keep up with god work. Greetings from Osijek, Croatia. :)
Came here after George's P2 qualification
Thank you for another Master the Track video Nico.
Great track, you made it look easy in the hot lap.
Why does he look like Jack Nicholson in the thumbnail lol
Little pigs, little pigs! Let me come in. 😏
Or a young Sting....
Thanks for the awesome commentary and analysis Nico. It's amazing how many things are going on simultaneously at such a fast pace and having to manage it all. You guys are from a different galaxy.
0:06 is that Precision Sim Engineering GPX steering wheel ?
I know many people won't see this but to those who see this, God bless you
Thank you my brother
Yoo thanks bro
Thx, too u 2
Thanks, God bless you too brother.
I love that you're a youtuber now Nico and your videos have helped me a lot with my racing. Keep up the great work!😀
My favourite track is Singapore.
This is by far the most interesting F1 channel, especially watching the Track How To's from a real professional
Cheers!
how to win at spa: step 1:qualify p1 step 2: wait
My favourite is Spa Franchorchamps because of its layout and Eau Rouge, that used to be so dangerous and also because of my two favourite driver Häkkinen and Räikkönen always drove so well there. Häkkinen did the most epic overtake of all time of Schumacher there in 2000 and Räikkönen won 2009 when I was there and watched live, my only visit to F1.
this guy is good at f1 2020 he should race irl
My Favourite F1 track of all time is an old one, not on the calendar any more but the Nurburgring Nordschliefer because it's so long and takes years to even come close to mastering all the corners but when you do get confident on that track, it's the most amazing place to drive. Makes you feel as one with the earth on that track. It's one of those magical places where you forget you're actually driving. It's like a zen experience and the most rewarding although it's the only track other than Brands Hatch and the Silverstone short circuit I've ever been on, in real life at least.
Russell watched your video, and others didn't
It's just joyful to watch you explain the track and how to drive it.
Thanks to sharing.
My favourite track is Baku because “He brake tested me!”
*BONK*
This was awesome, thank you Nico for doing this. It’s great insight and you also clearly understand the engineering of your car to high level unlike some other drivers. I never thought I would get this kind of analysis from a world champ. Keep them coming!
My favorite track is Monaco, a part of the triple crown, the iconic unchangeable layout and the prestige. It is also a very hard track and you have to be very brave to overtake. It is the jewel in the F1 calendar.
Idk why people hate it, the history and challenge is what make it so good. Also it has the third best set of corners the pool section
Unchangeable...
@@mypenishuge3499 Also, there have been a lot of good races there, remember the 1996
Nico you definitely need to give a comeback man.. You still have a lot of knowledge about each tracks and the turns that come in it.. You look like you can do racing again someday.. Maybe you definitely need a comeback for sure
