There's a good difference between bragging and telling about your achievements.. Nico, you're literally one of the best few racers worldwide, don't feel bad about sharing memories and comparing them to others, that's exactly what we want to know.
I'll never forget Monaco 2001 and here's why: I was a kid watching F1 in my living room and I was listening Reginaldo Leme, which is a legend here in Brazil when you think about an F1 journalist. For some reason, I said to myself "I'm gonna work with F1 and be like Reginaldo". Years later, my channel grew and I had the opportunity to tell this story to him. It was something magical and a truly message that I was right in all the sacrifices I've made. That's why I'll never forget Monaco 2001. Great video as always, Nico. Cheers from Brazil. 😉
Turkey 2020, I haven’t been so engaged and amazed of an f1 race in years. Really had me staring at the screen for every moment all the way from practice, quail to last lap. Unpredicted starting grid, weather, strategy’s, overtakes, mistakes, records being broken..... WOW what a race!!! One I will never forget 🤜😁❤️
When you change Bahrain GP's title to they ear 2023, forget the description from the changed 2022 last year and released this video before the 2021 bahrain GP. Nico Rosberg strats
I’d say Canada 2011 was the best race I’ve witnessed. With all the stops and safety cars due to accidents or bad weather. After hours of waiting and racing, there was the most intense last lap battle between Vettel and Button where he managed to force Vettel into a mistake to come home with the victory. I’m sure many people agree that this was an all time classic!
For me the most memorable is Canada 2011, I was a huge jenson fan as a kid and I remember staying up late with my dad watching it. When seb ran wide into the chicane I just remember the sheer happiness I felt watching button pass him after such a hard race for him
My most memorable race was the 1973 Canadian Grand Prix. I was 7 years old, and already obsessed with F1. I remember having an F1 board game, and a little pedal powered Ferrari that I use to drive around neighborhood. When my parents told me we were driving up to Canada to attend the race, I was over the moon! It was a long drive from where we lived in New York, but I would have gone anywhere, or done anything, to see a race in person. My mom's side of the family is from Scotland, and talked about Jackie Stewart constantly, so he became my favorite driver, but all the drivers were hero's to me, and the thought of seeing them in real life was almost as exciting as Christmas morning!! A day of two before the race, we were walking through the paddock, Scottish flag in hand, when my grandmother spotted Jackie being interviewed. We headed in that direction in hope of saying hello and wishing him well in the race. While Jackie was being interviewed, he looked over at me and waved hello and smiled. There were thousands of people milling about, but Jackie Stewart waved and smiled at ME!!!! I was so overcome with joy, that I began crying. Jackie was pulled away immediately after the interview, so I never got a chance to talk to him, though I suspect I would have been too awestruck to even get a word out. Even though I missed my chance of meeting Jackie, It was still one of the most happiest days I ever had as a kid.
As a Finnish guy born in the mid 90s, it just has to be Brazil 2007. Pretty much everyone had given up on Kimi's championship hopes before China. Then Lewis beached himself and the spark of hope was relit. And then Kimi slayed in Brazil and with a bit of luck he won. It was amazing, I still get the chills thinking about it.
Nico has achieved everything and I think he is very happy enjoying life spending time with his family. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so I think he is enjoying everyday to the fullest.
Spa Francochamps, 1995. Michael Schumacher against Gerhard Berger and Damon Hill. Slicks in teh rain. Schumacher as 16th on the grid wins his 16th GrandPrix. Eddy Irvine's Jordan in flames while refueling. What a race.
To me, the most memorable F1 race is 2008 Canadian GP and the only Robert Kubica's win. As a little boy I was a big fan of Robert. I'm from Poland and that was so exciting to see Robert on track. This rollercoaster and this memorable crash between Lewis and Kimi in pitlane is truly unforgotten to me. Especially after this horrendous Robert's crash, it is so sentimental, moving and memorable to me.
Whenever I see your race here in 2015 I get so sad. Just listening to your radio then "I would like to go to the end" breaks my heart. Next year you were Champion there, but that radio messages from 2015 always make me cry. You're a true legend Nico.
My favorite GP ever was Monaco 2003. I was about 7 years old, and Juan Pablo Montoya was racing like a monster. And since I am from Colombia, naturally I was cheering for him. Something that always got stuck on my mind was the pit stop that got him the lead and eventually the win. Watching J.P Montoya being chased by Michael and Ralf Schumacher and Raikkonen was epic.
Brazil 1991 when Senna won for the first time in Brazil. This is my favorite race because in the last laps he started losing gears and by the last lap he was racing on 6th gear only, and still won the race. In the end he was so tired he started having cramps and on the podium he could barely lift up the trophy
2016 Abu Dhabi, that for me was the most intense and memorable race I have ever seen with Lewis slowing the pack down and Nico with literally all the remaining laps making no wrong steps, I've watched it over 5 times already this week to prepare for Sunday and it still gives me goosebumps and I still get anxious that Nico does get passed even tho I know how the race ends.
This track is so fun to drive on in f1 2021...i just like the flow of the whole thing. It all flows together so nicely especially the 2nd half of the track
Brazil 2012 must be the most memorable. Because: A championship decider on last round, podium finisher Alonso loses it while Sebastian fights from virtually the last, Schumacher retiring, many incidents, McLaren last win to date and it had enough live coverage+video to make it reach to wide audiences.
Most memorable GP for me was the 2018 Canadian. First ever attended live. Got the tickets for my 40th birthday, it was the 40th anniversary of Jill Villeneuve's win and Jacques drove the Ferrari 312 in the parade. I had worked for a company that serviced that car and had a memorable connection to it. My first car ever to see was a glimpse of Charles in the Alpha through a gap om the fence on our way to the seats. Later at the hotel Delta we shared an elevator ride with some Alpha team crew and bumped into Damon Hill at dinner. After the race on the trackwalk I managed to find a piece of curb that was layers of rubber and paint as a momento. A magical weekend.
Brazil 2012 - such a legendary race. Head to head title battle, Seb fighting back in the rain after collision and overtaking other cars like god, Michael's last race...
Most memorable F1 race for me was Canada 2011. A lot of F1 races are same old same old, Canada had everything. Weather, crashes, team mates colliding and then the final few laps. To have someone who was running last to end up winning on the last lap is rare, for them to be able to drive on slicks in the wet just shows how good these F1 drivers are. They make driving and controlling a car look easy. That race for me was like watching a last minute 35 yard goal to win the game after being 0-3 down at half time.
Dont know if you remeber me but i built your showcars for mercades back in 2015 and 2016 and meeting you ,your dad and george and getting to deliver the car i built for you at the circuit was the best race weekend for me
Spa 2008. The last few laps between Kimi Raikkönen and Lewis Hamilton were literally breathtaking. I remember I was 13 years old and a huge fan of Kimi. Seeing him dominating on my favorite circuit and then spin after blanchimont few laps before the chequered flag made me cry like a baby.
Best of all time race for me is definitely Canada 2011. It managed to keep a 13 year old me glued to the TV for over 4 hours straight. So much was happening and then the crazy finish on the last lap just topped it all off.
Most memorable race for me used to be Imola 2004 for the Schumacher vs Montoya battle. It was very recently overtaken by Turkey 2020. That race had everything...classic track with an incredible layout, wheel to wheel battles in the wet, and appreciating the talent of drivers like Lewis and Perez to manage their tyres to the point where their inters were worn down to slicks and they were still able to find grip on the slippery surface.
My favourite race ever was turkish 2020 cuz thats where the cars dont matter that much (but still does). The rain coupled with the new track surface gave us a amazing race not to mention a awesome podium of well deserved drivers
Honestly speaking, one of the top ones on my list is Monza 2020. The sheer performance of every driver, the shaking up of the grid, the crash, everything, all came together to make it such a dramatic and wonderful race. The fact that the Torro Rosso (or the Alpha Tauri lol) won the race gave me such a huge flashback to Monza 2008, and the fact that Gasly was on top of his game that day, really proved that F1 is a sport which every driver has fought so much for. Every driver has so much skill, and when the cars and drivers are united with the perfect situation, it creates such a beautiful harmony and the sport becomes ever so much more memorable.
My most memorable f1 race as a spectator has to be Turkey this year. I mean so much stuff happened, people doing donuts on the wet ground, drivers constantly moving up and down on the leaderboard and that neck in neck finish for the podium, it was just spectacular!
Most memorable race for me is Canada 1995, Jean Alesi was (and still is, sorry Nico) my racing hero and to see him win with a Ferrari number 27 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (and it was his birthday as well) was just so special, maybe not a "classic" win but his only win so for me the best race ever.
In my humble opinion is gotta be 94' San Marino Grand Prix. In this race it shows that no matter who you are and how great you are is still one of the most dangerous sports. Also from this day on the safety of the car began to be more and more important .
Most memorable F1 race for me was the US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen 1967. A number of us had Goodyear uniforms and had great adventures. I sat in Jackie Stewart‘s car, I painted the tires on Bruce McLaren‘s car, I watched the start of the race from the starting bridge . We pushed Jimmy Clark’s car into the winner circle which was probably the top memory. I just found your channel and subscribed , it looks terrific.
European GP 1997. Three identical times for pole position. Two title contenders battling it out. A crash to define the championship. Plus Hakkinen's first win, Hill qualifying fourth in the Arrows, the last Williams championship, classic Brundle-Walker commentary (in the English speaking coverage).
As a brazilian myself, the 2008 brazilian GP was a surreal experience, in a matter of seconds the feeling of my family went from anxiety to celebration to anger and finally respect for the new champion. Even my grandparents were screaming and cursing in the last laps
Nico, September 28th 2003, US Grand Prix, Michael Schumacher started 7th, finishing 1st. Championship on the line, couple of races left. In the rain. I was seated right in middle of pits section. We got there very early. Still remember when Sauber was first car to start inside their garage. You can recognize her noise instantly even if doors were closed. So many poll positions changes in that race. Spin offs. At the end Michael was on top.
@@zuzu1173 but these 3 bois are the big bois. In middle east. You see them everywhere in middle east.... U see like 80land cruisers, 70 lexus lx570s, and like 85 patrols lol.... Maybe u see them infinite.... They always appear everywhere. It's like everyone can afford them lol.
Great question. So many to choose from. But the one that comes to mind has to be that Canadian GP back in 2011 or '12 where after lots of crashes and S.C's and getting cancelled for some 2+- hours he managed to get the victory. Now imagine at the time living in Greece and with the time difference how much of an effort it was to watch the race. And of course that was him two years after that surprise WC with the then BAR Honda , which later became your team Nico Mercedes GP, and unfortunately the last times you'd see a competitive McLaren team. By the way. Nico I love the concept and content of your channel because despite the fact that communication at least to me is that face 2 face contact and the body language itself, never the less you use your knowledge and that tool so exceptionally well that gives me the chance to say thumbs up for what you do. Keep it up Nico.
The race from Niki Lauda when i came back on the track after his crash, and finished four on the grid after a bad start. That's my most memorable race in F1 history.
The most memorable race for me is definitely Brazil 2008. I was 8 years old and in disbelief that Lewis might lose out again on the championship and then there were those famous words “is that glock?!” And I just burst out screaming, I’ll never forget
Brazil 2008. An absolute nail-biter from start to finish. It was the culmination of everything that had happened throughout the 2008 season. From all of the F1 races I watched live, nothing else was as dramatic as that. If you wanted a perfect example of "it ain't over, until it's over", that was it. On the last(ish) corner, of the last lap, of the last race.
My favorite F1 race of all time is Hockenheim (2000). Michael Schumacher was out of the race early (his 3rd DNF in a row) and was going to lose a lot towards his rivals. Barrichello was starting from 17th place. In changeable weather and at times a complex (partially-wet) track Barrichello fought his way to the front and landed his first ever F1 race win. It was so exciting to see a low-downforce, high-speed circuit with lots of tense racing and overtaking, and not only that we got plenty of on-board action hearing the beautiful sound of the naturally aspirated engines singing. Barrichello's race win was great for him personally but also great for Michael's championship hopes. For so many reasons this is my all-time favorite F1 race!
Best race of all time is Brazil 2012. The unpredictability was truly amazing and just like Nico's comeback from last, Seb's composure to comeback that strong was something awe-inspiring
1997 Jerez de la Frontera, Michael Schumacher vs Jaques Villeneuve. First full race I ever watched and the one that hooked me up to Formula 1. My country didn't even showed F1, so I had to watch it in the brasilian channel O Globo, which was were I watch F1 until 2000 when JP Montoya joined F1. It helped me to learn portuguese.
Canada 2011 GP. I had a houseful of family members over for my daughters birthday. None of them had ever watched F1 before. They were all going crazy over Buttons last lap pass for the win. That was a good day.
With him being in such a tense atmosphere while he was driving i wasnt really a fan of Nicos personality at times but these videos are so enjoyable and made me a big fan of his and respect him so much more wish him all the best and hope the videos keep coming thanks Nico!!
Spa 1998 for me, the most unbelievable pile up at the beginning, a restart and another crash, a British winner, a 1-2 for Jordan, rain, pit stop drama…. It was INCREDIBLE!
7:21 Alex did it and yeah he run off the track. All the dust lifted while he spun and then crashed, like sand skating I guess... so a little bit wide and off the track you go, fortunately he's physically ok. Thank you Nico for always teaching us to better understand the tracks and all those little inside details that make me say "mmm so that's why"
this race was the best piece of marketing formula one could ask for. if your new to the sport (as i was at the time) this was the summary you needed to catch up. it had the politics, the technology, the tire strategy and ofcourse the DogFight between you and lewis. I have to say im a huge lewis fan but, i have to thank you for participating in that moment. As a 3d designer Formula one has had a massive infleunce on me, the sport has really changed my life and that started at this race for me. So, Thank You
1984 Portuguese Grand Prix. Niki Lauda battles his teammate Alain Prost in the last race of the season. Prost qualified 2nd alongside Piquet, who collected his 9th pole of the season, while Lauda was 11th on the grid. Lauda climbed up to 3rd after passing Ayrton Senna, who had qualified 3rd in a Toleman. Piquet had fallen away, so Prost was leading, with Nigel Mansell second in his last race for Lotus before moving to Williams. Mansell retired due to persistent brake problems, and Lauda moved up to second, ensuring his third World Championship. Prost won McLaren's 7th consecutive victory and 12th of 16 races, whilst Lauda finished second, a mere half point in front of Prost in the championship, a record margin that has not been matched since.
Being in "the zone" is actually very common when you're doing some sport or some form of art, working etc That perfect focus and the feeling that you're at the top of your game and everything just happens perfectly, it's amazing
1997 villeneuve vs schumacher last race when schumacher tried to take out villeneuve and took himself out instead! Villeneuve won the championship! Im canadian and he was my idol! I had just starting racing in karts the year before.. i will always remember that moment like it was yesterday!
1984 Monaco Grand Prix. This was the race in which the late great Ayrton Senna proved himself to the F1 world and showed us why he is the greatest racing driver to have ever lived.
Beat F1 Race to me was Suzuka 2000, when Michael Schumacher Scores his first Ferrari WDC. There were not special overtakes or spectacular shunts but the sheer racecraft of him and Mika Hakkinen was so impressive. Both drove on sich’s. High level without any mistakes and stayed only a few seconds apart through the entire race. That was driving perfection to me and therefore is my most impressive F1 race.

"I think you have to leave a space, ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A SPACE"
"It's IMPOSSIBLE to race with these people!"
Nico literally beat the track record and Lewis’s 2020 pole time
It’s much Easier on a simulator to exploit the track. You don’t have to deal with wind interference, tire and brake temps and beads on track
@@abdullahrashid7385 Yeah my bahrain time is a 25.0 on f1 2020
also he had anti locking brakes on
My favourite race ever was turkish 2020 cuz thats where the cars dont matter that much (but still does). The rain coupled with the new track surface gave us a amazing race not to mention a awesome podium of well deserved drivers
Has to be Brazil 2008, "IS THAT GLOCK??!!" will forever be a great moment in time. Most intense race I have ever watched!
We're seeing a F1 champion, explaining a track while seems to be happy with that? 🤯
yes
My most memorable f1 race as a spectator has to be Turkey this year. I mean so much stuff happened, people doing donuts on the wet ground, drivers constantly moving up and down on the leaderboard and that neck in neck finish for the podium, it was just spectacular!
Brazil 2008, what a change of emotion in the last stages of the race
Making the desire to perform to your potential overcome the fear of losing. That's the mental battle of sport.
Brazil 2019.
Gasly and Hamilton's drag race, Chili's P20 to P4 (to Podium) run, two Ferrari collides, and Honda's 1-2 finish.
Bro so advanced he made a video about 2023 Bahrain in 2020
In my humble opinion is gotta be 94' San Marino Grand Prix. In this race it shows that no matter who you are and how great you are is still one of the most dangerous sports. Also from this day on the safety of the car began to be more and more important .
For me easily 2019 Brazil because of the unexpected podiums
nice one!
Most memorable race for me is Canada 2011, first race I ever watched
How to master a Bahrain GP ?
Bring a land cruiser, lx570s, patrol Y62/Y61.
You're good.
lol hilix??
2023?.....2 years ago....am confused
He doesn't do them every year he just updates them every year unless they have a major change
2016 Spanish gp
my first f1 race i watched completly and i really enjoyed it
Best race of all time is Brazil 2012.
It helped me to learn portuguese.
it would be very cool to see some battle tips on next tracks too!
Canada 2011 GP. I had a houseful of family members over for my daughters birthday. None of them had ever watched F1 before. They were all going crazy over Buttons last lap pass for the win. That was a good day.
The "Is that Glock" moment was a really memorable moment, it starts the hamilton era with a heartbreak moment killing massas's dream of a championship
With him being in such a tense atmosphere while he was driving i wasnt really a fan of Nicos personality at times but these videos are so enjoyable and made me a big fan of his and respect him so much more wish him all the best and hope the videos keep coming thanks Nico!!
3:54 well this aged well
Spa 1998 for me, the most unbelievable pile up at the beginning, a restart and another crash, a British winner, a 1-2 for Jordan, rain, pit stop drama…. It was INCREDIBLE!
he is on pole ! 1:27:065 vs hamilton 1:27:264 XD
Bottas taking note hahaha
7:21 Alex did it and yeah he run off the track. All the dust lifted while he spun and then crashed, like sand skating I guess... so a little bit wide and off the track you go, fortunately he's physically ok.
Thank you Nico for always teaching us to better understand the tracks and all those little inside details that make me say "mmm so that's why"
Michael Schumacher and his best race of his life by himself told, Suzuka 2000 F1 GP. Absolute legend.
Most memorable for me was Singapore 2017, the vibe that night was something different. The half wet track and the 2017 cars really was breathtaking
my most memorable race was the 2020 Italy gp because pier gasly won and im a big gasly fan
this race was the best piece of marketing formula one could ask for. if your new to the sport (as i was at the time) this was the summary you needed to catch up. it had the politics, the technology, the tire strategy and ofcourse the DogFight between you and lewis. I have to say im a huge lewis fan but, i have to thank you for participating in that moment. As a 3d designer Formula one has had a massive infleunce on me, the sport has really changed my life and that started at this race for me. So, Thank You
How about a section for the best setups on the track? It'd be also very helpful
5:03 where Max gained advantage over Lewis and got the pole 2021!
That race was very tight
Being in "the zone" is actually very common when you're doing some sport or some form of art, working etc
That perfect focus and the feeling that you're at the top of your game and everything just happens perfectly, it's amazing
Germany 2019: such an exciting and unpredictable race for possibly the last F1 race at the Hockenheimring
This was the race in which the late great Ayrton Senna proved himself to the F1 world and showed us why he is the greatest racing driver to have ever lived.
only two likes... but You'Ve got Dam Right. The birth of the biggest rivality in sport's history !!!
That was driving perfection to me and therefore is my most impressive F1 race.
so this is what verstappen watched and just got the pole by almost 0.4 seconds
I n t e r e s t i n g
Came here to post this, lol
Michael Schumacher's win in 1998 at Silverstone on last lap from our lane is most memorable race.
Brazil 1991. Senna’s most emotional win, stuck in 6th gear with Patrese closing up on him . Masterclass
Thanks for the analysis, Nico! Trying to master all the race tracks here. This is very helpful!
