- For many years, a game named Flatout 3 has been at the bottom of the list for user reviews on Steam. But instead of finding out what made it so bad, I've decided to complete the entire game to 100% by getting all achievements. Will I lose my mind before I'm done?

I hope you got your money back after buying and playing this, lmao. This "thing" (I hesitate to even call it a video game) is so bad that, fun fact, Steam gave me a full refund after I bought it when it was announced all those years ago.
Yes, I alpha/beta tested this. Yes, I actually played this SERIOUSLY and talked to the devs. Yes, it's that bad that despite having way more than the two hours cap for Steam's refund policy, they still refunded the game.
For its time tho, it did have some things going for it. The draw distance for details like grass was actually SUPER impressive for its time (and fields looked really good), plus the fact it had support for 24 or 25 vehicles in a race (back when most games struggled to handle 8). I actually had a few amazing 16-18-player online derbies, but thats as far as I'm gonna praise this thing lmao.
Please seek therapy, Dustin, there's no way you didn't get PTSD downloading this.

Well, technically you could also apply for 1st place in a 100% speedrun category for this game.

Flat out 2 was my favourite, and it made me so excited when flat out 3 came out. Watching you play this brought back all the disappointment I felt when I played 3 for the first time

This video reminds me of when Shinyodd also did a video on Flatout 3 and when he started the game, it played the Arabic Nokia music, truly encapsulating the absurdity of the games' existence.

12:17 fun fact about this map, nothing fails you for just driving off the side of the place, so your car will super bounce off weird invisible collision and its basically impossible to drive on anything real, but you can just sit down there if you want

For some reason, i still unironically love my copy of team 6's "Speed". It's one of the games i used to play the most on my wii as a kid, and if you get past the bad graphics, motion controls, cringe-tastic crashes, and the absolutely horrendous soundtrack (that is forever stuck in my head btw), you can get a bit of fun out of it (which is not the case for flatout 3)

I got this as part of a package deal with the other two Flatout games.
I had no idea how bad the gameplay in Flatout 3 was because the game kept crashing on launch.
The tank is literally an M4 Sherman that had it's tracks be remplaced with wheels.
Of course you could argue the fully automatic 75mm gun is not historically accurate.
Imagine if some mad lad decided to remake the whole game in UE5 with everything improved

In older versions of the game, the train would destroy cars in one hit the moment one touched it but later it got changed to not instakill, the trained achievement is a leftover from that.
Also Justin Case's coat didn't stretch in some previous versions

I get it, Flatout is an old title at this point and also one that may have been somewhat forgotten, but the fact that Flatout 2 (2006) or even the first Flatout (2004), might genuinely have better graphics than this game is insane, and it tells a short, yet loud and clear story about how much effort was(n't) put into this game.
