    Hey! So i wanted the Outer Banks because as you've said, the color match fenders and door handles/mirrors are nice! But I am very interested in the mean big look that the sasquatch package offers. Since thats standard on the wildtrak - would you recommend going wildtrak + lux package, or stay with the outerbanks and add Sas? that way you get the mirrors and door handles color matched, but you get the lift and plastic fender flares. There are too many options, and I am confused...please advise :) ...other then outside appearance, idk what differences are with the wildtrak and the OB.

    • @ratkicker007
      @ratkicker007 2 года назад +2

      @@Merica79 yes that’s often true but it’s much more true in this case because the bronco is a purpose built off road vehicle to directly compete with wrangler. Most other vehicles are just road driving cars to take people from A to B so there isn’t much unknown about what dynamics, features and technology is needed to make a successful road driving car. But entry to the off road market involves more risk and unknown and therefore will have much more rooom for improvement in a gen 2. Especially since the bronco includes new design for fully independent front suspension, turbo engine, frameless doors and many other features not yet established strongly in the off road community. Jeep has solid front axle, most off road jeeps are naturally aspirated gas although they recnentky introduced turbo and diesel options, and jeeps have framed doors. All I’m saying is the gen 2 will be a big leap for the bronco because ford will have feedback from all the users about how many of these features last over time.

    The front bumper, bash plates, rock rails and seats on the WT you are showing are all upgrades.
    WT has sandstone - not navy pier - but it does have the non-matching blue interior accents for some unknown reason.
    WT = fugly interior, no sta-bar disconnect, no wash out, no rock rails or tube step, less undercarriage armor.
    As configured, the two you have shown are both ~59k assuming they are Lux interior. -sure leather would drive up the BL but then you lose the washout.

  • @KTMcaptain

    Quick disconnects or anti rock bar will probably be available for the Bronco so a disconnecting ARB isn’t really that huge of a deal considering you can defeat it easily and likely more reliably. Like auto locking hubs vs manual. This is coming from a Rubicon owner that has also disconnected their ARB on previous vehicles manually. Sure it’s nice, but when mine fails I’ll delete it via my tazer and just throw some quick disconnects on. Wish it had locking hubs instead of the FAD as well.

      I also reserved a Wildtrak. If you priced out a badlands to be like a Wildtrak, you’d spend more money. The only differences are, obviously standard squatch and standard 2.7/auto. Plus black grill, black mirror caps and black rims. Also, WT has sport goat mode and std mic hard top. For the extra money you’d spend, you get the stabar disconnect and rock crawl goat mode.

      @@skyfirefly76 When I priced my build out and compared to a badlands it was almost $3k more. Also, I forgot about the full length upgraded skid/bash plates and the rear steel bumper that come with the badlands. Those do not come with the Wildtrak. Although if you get the modular front bumper, you can get the upgraded plates on the Wildtrak. I would just go to Ford.com and price them out to see. Cause if you haven’t got a vin yet, you can still change your order.

      You don’t need “Rock Crawl” mode to do any “rock crawling”. Just put it in 4Lo & 1st gear and go to town.
      The one major mode to be concerned with is Baja, it minimizes/turns off most/ all of the built in safety mechanisms and remaps throttle, brake and transmission control for high speed joy😃

      @@skyfirefly76 Sport mode is for spirited on-road driving, sport mode increases throttle response and provides a sportier steering feel - along with quicker shifting. The transmission holds gears longer to keep you in the power band. My 2019 Raptor has it and I use it when someone in a sports car pulls up next to me and gives me the eye. ;-)

    Since Badlands doesn't have sport mode and Wildtrak does, can you emulate sport on the Badlands by selecting Baja and changing to 2H or 4A?
