@@StocksIn60Seconds Money is no issue with my customers I just haven’t seen this stuff till this video. I’ve used the Prova board which’s similar. I’ve only used the Prova in tub surrounds so I’m assuming the pans are similar to this product in this upload. I like the drain in this product. The schluter drains are fine but this looks much nicer. Regardless it’s much nicer to use these products than it is to float walls. That’s the best way but it’s so labor intensive for me. Age sucks haha.
@@wasntme3651the idea of floating walls again sends shivers down my spine. Haven’t floated a wall in years. Agreed, very labor intensive, but a tried and true system. Modern solutions have proven to be just as good.
@@719vol So far so good on the new technology but I guess we will see In A hundred years. The new stuff is much nicer to work with. @@wasntme3651I’m seeing more and more clients change out complete rooms in 10 yrs or less. We just finished a mud room and master bath that we had only did 5 years ago. I dont care what anyone says, you go buy a bucket of ,hydroban, aqua defence, or red gaurd and you start painting all of it. That thinset shit will only water proof for so many years, it eventually deteriorates. The tile coach is right, that is the only way.
I like how she did the flood test a very important part...but dont forget to measure the water level check for water loss in an hour...if water level the same its good.
I don't think I would trust that system. Might work for a bit, but eventually those seams on the floor will leak. I think you got to build this stuff more in line like a backyard pond with a liner that goes up past the curb.
Schluter is falling behind imo. Hydroban is a better product. This is more similar to a wedi system which is quite expensive. Curious to know the difference in cost between this system and wedi.
Came to ya channel cause I watched ya learning to weld just fyi. Pretty cool. And not only are ya cute and smart too! You got some bangin ass legs on you girl jezus. 😮 I kno you kno that already cause ya prolly stay in the squat rack and lunges guessing but it’s magical 🧙♂️
I seen tons of sealant base waterproofing showers fell. Cause it separates from the sealant we're wall board meet Cause of movement. ALWAYS PUT 4 TO 6 INCH BAND OVER ALL CORNERS AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE PROBLEMS. I'm in Texas worse construction builds in the USA. Texas and Florida are the most wrongly build homes in USA. I'm a Texan but I learned how to tile and waterproof showers in California. Texas constractors are the worse builders in USA.
Who invented all this pre fabrication bullshit?! lol. What happened to the good old wonderboard, or floating walls. And waterproofing like old days. Lasted way longer! And better quality than cheap plastic and bs like this video! SMH
This looks much nicer to install than the Schluter system. I’m definitely going to give this a try on a future project. 👊🏼👍🏼
You get what you pay for. Schluter costs less, most likely.

The mesh tape is key, seen on RUclips failures of weedie product without the mesh and second layer of sealant

Is that drain relying on sealant? Same question for the wall boards?
Is there a pre slope on that? I'm sure there is but I can't see it on the video, looks amazing though.
Hydro Blok comes with a pre-slope.
@@diesel104 cool! I'll have to give it a try on my next bathroom, thanks for the reply! 👍
What if you want a flush floor?
I like this. If it is water curable, does that mean you also have to spray the walls?
The moisture in the air will cure the wall sealant. Most caulking and silicones cure the same way.
Can you do a similar video for the rest of the shower? Than for doing the floor as well?

How does it work with in floor heating?
Does this pan come pre-sloped?
You’re the best
Hi. Can you share the link for the water test plug. Thanks.
Google is your friend
What are the positives of using schluter over this? ( are u sponsored by hydro block btw?). This seems quicker and cleaner. What am I missing

GoBoard is an identical system now available at Lowes. They don’t make shower pans pans though.
I have a question about the flood testing. How do you measure if there’s a leak somewhere?
Plug the drain, fill with water to premarked height, let set overnight, and check water height the next morning.
@@joeducosin3852 Is that really accurate? I’m mean, a few drops will never show but that’s enough to ruin the bathroom over the years.

Yes I don’t like handing with thinset
The seam is at the floor and not uo a continuous curb? Yeah...no.

😂
Step 20. Tear it out because it leaks.
You forgot to say...with hydroblock
Everything looks easy when u build it in a garage perfect plum studs level floor this is bs cause it’s never like this on a real Job
