The walls of your garage are plain and generally your garage is clean and well organized. So, I think the doors are working well. However, when you park your car in public parking spaces especially such as office building parking areas, you should be very careful. I think the sensors and automatic door functions are not so reliable in my experience with my 2022 Tesla Model X. For the doors, there is no improvement compared to previous Model X.
So you’re telling me to lose an extra 10lb to fit into my MX when in garage. But seriously thank you again for another great video this demonstration is awesome for people who are getting the MX and keeping it in their garage, especially for people like us who get heavy snow in the winter and have to transport kids. I really love the practicality of MX, we’re ditching our minivan for Tesla. Thank you
I'm having an impossible time finding the height of the falcon wing doors when totally open. I'm trying to determine the appropriate height of the roof for the doors to open fully without any problems. Can you advise on the fully open height of the doors for the 2022 Model X? Once fully open do you know how much higher the roof needs to be so as to not get triggered by the sensors? Thanks so much!
Our garage is kinda low and it opens perfectly not hitting anything with a few inches to spare but also giving plenty of room to get in? They’re great!😊
Honestly great, but this is getting to a point where it's not "fully automated" that it actually wastes time and give me more hassle. Thought long about upgrading the Y to X, but given > double the $, I will just stick with Y.
Why would fwd hit the glass window when front passenger door is open when door closed is the closest position? When door is open, window is pivoted away.
My 2020 just shattered my glass in my driver falcon door. Opened in my garage and it opened right into a pipe above the door. Rookie mistake I guess, just got the car didn’t know I needed to be so careful.
Mine did the same thing this week on my 2023 MX. I have the door setting set to open low at my home and 95% of the time the falcon doors operate properly and see my garage door and don't open all the way, 5% of the time they go rogue and open and slam into the garage door. I argue that the glass should be warrantied by Tesla as it is a sensor issue. They say no. How can it be my fault if I have no control over how much the door opens? The rear hatch is the same way, 95% of the time it opens low and 5% of the time it will slam into the garage door too. I am surprised there has not been a class action lawsuit regarding these falcon doors.
since radar and SS sensors have been turned off or removed from newer X models, it can not determine exact spacing therefore it will be ultra conservative in its openings. Such a hassle. Tesla Vision definitely not better. I hear Summons is turned off too.
Summon is not that reliable either. It often takes 2-3 attempts to get it into or out of our garage completely clear of any obstructions by at least 5 feet in all directions. Sometimes it will just get 1/4 of the way in/out and give up and wont move.
Normal people : *just open door and drive*
Tesla Model X owner: *start testing doors sensors and playing with it*
Seriously. Get in your car and drive away. Instead, you have to worry about spacing and spend 15 minutes just to get in your car.

Thanks for the tip
Omg i love These falcon wing doors

The maximum height is 77 inches of the falcon wing doors but they do have sensors so don’t worry, they won’t hit anything.

When the falcon wing door does not open all the way, can you manually push it open by hand, without using the buttons?
It’s possible but it’s heavy and does not feel like you should

Only reason to stick with the y is definitely the cost plus if you don’t need the bigger car.
dude. thank you!
You bet!

I guess the geometry is unclear to many.
They actually can hit each other. The front window swoops toward the rear slightly
Tesla owners are like from a different planet.

True. But they are developing a camera-based software for these features to become active
Well hello fellow Alberta citizen
I want to see your garage tour like every car
Do the falcon doors sensor top clearance too? Like if your garage got low roof, how does it open?
There is a sensor on the roof of the model x that knows the height and opens accordingly
A minivan can open all 4 doors easily.
Yes, but minivans are gay.

nice car, how long it takes to get your order delivered?
almost 1 year
@@POGAuto Ordered 5/16/2022. Delivery appointment is 6/3/2022. MXP
i love the car
Love the X, hate the falcon door hassle
Or you can just summon it out of the garage before trying to get in the car. Also you didn't show the auto frunk open and close.
There is no auto frunk on the model x also not everyone pays over 12K for FSD just to get summon

@@POGAuto You're in luck, summon is available for half price with enhanced autopilot. Only $6,000, lol
@@antimagnet It actually is $6400 in Canada plus tax. Still really expensive! Check out my EAP videos.
It sucks, you cannot even open the door in the garage. Lol
imagine falling for a scam
