Well, if you can manage to park and get out of the car, you could get back it. If you can't get out of the car in the first place, that's the end of the story. Find a larger parking spot😂
I definitely would love to have that feature (for driver side at least). Far too many people I have encountered always park in the most stupid, awkward, and ignorant way possible. But that or even summoning feature would be terrific for such incident. Or even the 8 security camera all around the car would be something I be interested as well
The rear doors are actually a great tradeoff, as day to day, the falcon wing doors aren't too fun to deal/live with as they can often glitch. Rear doors, being used less often, a good way to integrate an emergency entry point without having to deal with the inconvenience every time the driver gets in.
hey thanks for this video just ordered one, and in my country a lot of ppl like to park at tight spaces! this really sold me off. Thank you so much bro.
It would make sense if it was the front doors. If you still have to shimmy your way to the front, you might as well get in through the trunk, lay the back seats and shimmy to the front. And it would only be useful if someone blocked you because choosing to park like that still blocks the other cars' doors.
When the weather is hot, my front doors refuse to open all the way. And the Falcon Wing doors refuse to open at all. It is embarrassing to the point other people nearby see me and my family or friends struggle to get either in or out of the Model X. Also after heavy rainfall, the rear brake lights show water condensation. Tesla Service Centers (2 of them) tell me the same thing that "it is within Tesla's specs" and there is no fix for that. OMG, I have never had any cars in my life with water condensation in brake lights except my first Tesla. Besides, Tesla uses a lot of plastic pieces for its exterior and interior trims. As the trims are exposed to sunlight and hot weather and cold weather, the plastic trims harden over time and when the car runs on uneven road surfaces, there are interior rattle. It is not loud, but is annoying especially when I and my wife are listening to light music or classical music while driving. Then, there are various spots with panel alignment issues which Tesla Service Center has said to me that they had tried their best to fix but could not fix any further without causing other alignment issues somewhere else on the exterior of the X; and I just have to live with that since it was my fault not to check the car thoroughly out of initial excitement on delivery day. However, should Tesla has better quality control especially for such an expensive car? I have the performance model, so there is the well-known front upper control arm failure issue under fast acceleration. Tesla has not done thorough testing of the vehicle with its super fast acceleration and Tesla has failed to therefore know this design defect where the car is relatively top heavy compared to other Tesla sedans and with the air suspension on Regular height setting or High setting, the sudden transfer of weight breaks the upper arms easily. I have had the front left upper arm fixed once and front right upper arm fixed twice. So far, I have some regret of buying it especially the depreciation is crazy for Tesla cars, they lose values so quickly.

Don’t try this with the other cars’ mirrors in the way of the Falcon doors. Ask me how I know… 😅 Luckily it was a Tesla demo X at a Tesla dealership. 👍
For all of you saying you can just summon the car out. 1. Summon is part of EAP for $6400 or FSD for $12800 plus tax here in Canada so it’s optional. 2. If some gas car do want to trick the Tesla model X. Tesla: too bad this never happens don't use this to think i need to give lots of money because i hit your car.
Im impressed about the falcon wing doors not hitting other cars the engineers on that car really work hard for it

@ahmxddd but it is impressive though on how much of a tight space they can open
I heard they removed the sensor now, it will hit for sure
This is where the summoning feature would come in handy.

Sliding door on the minivans are the best.
try it in a low roof garage, see if it hits the top of the ceiling
It wont, i tried to do the "light show" in a parking garage with a low ceiling and it wont even initiate
We own a model x in a low garage and whenever we open the door it always stops before it hits the roof

You are right, but do you really want a car with a big front square windshield?
Yeah but on Teslas you can remotely move the car in and out of a parking spot anyways
It will be really ugly if they put it in the front and be way harder since its sloped in the front
love the tesla videos man, keep up the good work!

Great test, but Tesla overcomplicate the door. Could have put in a "sliding door", much more practical
Model X is An Spirit + cool feature :)
Impressive! Is this feature also available with old/earlier model X, say 2017?
Minivans had this capability for decades
Yeah but the fact if the matter is: this is cooler

lol that was ballsy. Nicely done
why not use summon to move the X forward and access all doors fully?
