I know i might get hated on for this, but i like the 2016 more because it is more like a “normal car”
Not hated but getting a tesla is more than a car, it's an entertainment system. Well, if you are in the US, tesla have better charging grind, although in some places in Europe, the SUC are so far apart that, to get a "normal" car I would go for an IONIQ or EV9 or even a Peugeut e-5008, these last 2 because 7 seat layout... while charging these cars ofter nothing to do, boring normal and expensive cars 😂
Just bought a 2016 90d. Overall very happy with it and still looks basically brand new

Same. Video compared the cars as if they’re the same price. Looks like the small upgrades aren’t worth a years worth of salary.

@nicholasbrown982 no we lived in NY and he drove to somewhere in jersey I thnk.. we moved to hawaii in June and they dnt even have the tesla charger over here so it basically now was pointless 😒 but it was still his dream car cuz the doors and Ludacris he said
I prefer the screen on the 2022 tesla model x because like you said it js much smoother and way less lagy than the 2016 model x,so I defently like the 2022 version better and I love the new interior you got it looks beautiful!
the only thing i miss in the model x plaid from the raven and previous generations is the interior door handle for the front doors i loved pulling the handle much more that the simple button

The aluminum paddles only come with performance models for the pre refresh.
I prefer the 6 seater version. Looks much nicer and more expensive than the 5 seater
It’s probably only more expensive because of the automatic 2nd row seats, rear seats and extra airbags

Some excellent points I had never considered! Thank you for producing this video.
I prefer the 2022 Model X because it just looks more refreshed and better. For example there is a nice finish of black on white on the door handles that looks amazing. I hate the new yoke steering but I suppose you could get used to it in the long run.
You can choose when you order the car whether you want the yoke of the normal steering wheel
I saw a video of a person who had their Model S with a yoke for not long at all, and the wear on the material was insane
2020 raven is the earliest I would go. Your video is well thought out however the build quality of the refresh can’t be overstated. 23 X plaid has been a far better car. I still keep my older X as an airport car.
Thanks for the in depth comparison of the creature comforts. I've been in the market for a used model X for about a year now and the prices on the 2016/2017 models are pretty enticing. I've seen them below $25k in my area compared to $75k for 2022+. I'm still not convinced the updates make it worth 3x as much. I'm not in any rush to buy so I guess I'll wait it out. And considering that a brand new X starts at $79,999 the used prices for these should rapidly drop this year.
Some things that are really nudging me toward the 2022 are the longer range, faster charging (2022's can charge up to 250kw vs 120kw for 2016), updated door sensors and seals, rear display for kids' entertainment, improved build quality, reduced road noise. Besides the price of the 2022s I don't like the yoke (I don't hate it but my wife does), the lack of shifter stalk/turn signal stalk/physical horn button.
I prefer the older one because of the steering wheel not literally having the top of it cut off
You can have the rounded steering wheel in the new one too. It has 2 options of steering wheel.

Same, when we looked at the 16' it just felt like a different car, not in a bad way, it just had the novelty of being the first year, having some of the cool things that just aren't practical and just got removed, like the piano black seats, powered 2nd row with 7 seat interior, etc. She ended up getting a 17' Model X. There are some cool tech features you don't have on the 16' are nice, like sentry mode, FSD capability, and some other things.
2022 for the 2016 price works for me

I had a 2016 Model X and now have a 2020 Model Y. I wish chrome trim were an option. The black doesn't look too bad on a white car but on blue (Like my Y) it just looks dirty. I think the black trim looks cheaper than chrome. I will struggle to buy another Tesla with black trim. It will make me look at other EV's.
you can just wrap the trim with like $50 in vinyl lol. i wrapped my model 3's chrome with satin black 3m in less than a day.

Curious to know why you changed from the Model X to a Model Y?
@@CooBlu20 The X was a 75D so the range was about 200 miles. The Y is LR and the range is closer to 300. Also, I really didn't need all the space in the X. Also the Y is paid off!
I liked the X and would consider another one. The biggest difference that comes to mind is the ride. The Y is smooth on a smooth road. The ride is rough on anything else. I never had a complaint about the ride in the X.
I bought a late 2017 100d MX as 7 seater since I’m father of three. No problems so far but little issues are existing. E.g. phantom obstacles detection which prevents the falcon doors from opening properly. Nevertheless I’m satisfied with the car.

I’m buying a 2016 7 seater 90d right now. 7 seater is the only reason I would buy a model x

@@xzreez183 Not everybody wants or needs a Suburban, they're massive, fuel inefficient, and just not something everybody wants. Especially with being able to get a 16' Model X for ~$45k-$50k. For a lot of people, a Model X would be more compelling, cheaper to run, less maintenance, safer, more advanced.
That's easy. I had a 2016 model X and now have a 2022 Model X. The 22 is better in almost every way. More stable, more quiet, more efficient, longer range, instant speed, large wide-screen with Steam, Netflix, FSD and all the newest everything. There are a lot of little issues with the 2016. The only thing I miss about the 2016 is the unlimited free supercharging and the gear stalk.
I am thinking about buying one unlimited super charge, I think its a big plus, and the cost savings too. $65k cad vs $140k cad, and I have warranty too. Would you say bad idea run?

@@Phat_Jai yes model x 2016 not returned to tesla ecosystem still has unlimited supercharge, but I guess it is not a good thing because people say it damages your batteries.

I had 2015 silver X. Now I have 2022 white Model X. I like the silver better but my white one has longer range.

I bought a X 2016 90D for 45k a year and a half ago with 24k miles it’s a great car for the money. I upgraded the display.
I then bought a X 2017 p100d for 70k with fsd and have the beta.
But 6 seater versions for both

I prefer the 5 seater because the summon is hard on the 2016 you have to use the key fob and you use the phone to summon the 2022 tesla which is easier

I feel like for Teslas that I’d rather have it’s more of a personal preference. I think they’re both great but I would take either one any day it’s a Tesla. I don’t care which one so they might both have their flaws but at the end of the day do they get the job done? That is what is important.

I have the 2016 free charging can’t really beat that. I like 2022 aswell but for 75 grand. My 2016 work just fine and you can’t really tell the difference unless you really know your cars

@@POGAuto as far as the new features in the interior I agree with you you probably can. I was speaking about exterior they all look the same the lights, well the fog lights are slightly different but that’s it. Same frame same doors. But I’m not knocking the 2022 by any means 👍

For 80.000$ cheaper I go with 2017 MCU2. Bought a 03.2017 for 60.000€ full package and free supercharger. Very happy with it. 90D

Last mid March that my 2015 Ford Escape SE broke down. I gotten a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. It took me awhile in getting used to the newer one than the older one. The old one was so easy to used. Before getting the 2015 Ford Escape. I remembered almost 11 years ago that I wanted a 2012 Ford Focus. I saw the pictures of that car. I ended up with a 2011 Mercury Milan in late June 2012. I preferred driving my 2020 Ford Escape. I just loved using Apple Car Play. It was so easy to used. To me it is liked using my iPhone.
