The Hollywood makeup look was always a flawless one. Thanks to the likes of Max Factor and the Westmore Brothers, Hollywood's leading ladies captivated the hearts of cinema going audiences with their stunning looks. Through an evolving craft , these cosmetic gurus created a template for the female face which still applies in today's rules of applying makeup. Smooth matte foundation always avoids shine on photographs. Eyes and lips had to be sharply defined. From the 1920s vamp and flapper looks to the sophisticated 1950s makeup styles of Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn.
Elizabeth Taylor, famous for those hazel green eyes, always wore dramatic eye makeup.
0:19: Foundation. Apply a thick concealer to redness and blemishes. Use foundation to even out the overall tone of your face.
0:55: Brows. Use a dark brown pencil to draw thin, arched lines.
1:21: Eyes. Apply a matte light green shade all over the lid using a flat brush. Use a peach shade to work the crease of the eyelid up to the eyebrow, placing emphasis at the beginning of the eyebrow, apply the same shade to the lower eyelid. Use a dark brown shade to deepen the color in the crease and lower lid. Using a black liner, draw a line along the upper eyelashes. Fill in the space between eyelashes with a long-lasting black pencil.
3:20: Eyelashes. Apply two coats of black mascara to your upper and lower lashes and use false eyelashes.
3:52: Correction. Apply light concealer to the area under the eyes using a brush and sponge. Use a creamy sculptor in a cool brown shade to darken your cheekbones and make your nose appear thinner.
4:46: Blush. Apply a creamy bright orange blush to your cheeks using a fluffy brush.
5:17: Lips. Outline your lips with a light red pencil. Apply lipstick in a warm red shade.
5:46: Powder. Finish with loose powder to give your skin a porcelain look.

Great tutorial, thank you. It's interesting how they used a lot blue and green eyeshadow, but it was assumed for years that it was black or brown due to the black and white film.
I am quite sure Elizabeth Taylor was famous for her violet blue eyes.
Omg!!! I'm ALWAYS looking for the old school green eyeshadow look! Finally 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

You are so talented 💚 and have a beautiful face 💚
She has the nuanced facial expressions to coordinate with each and every one of her makeup looks. I'm always amazed at great actors/actresses.
Did they really wear green eyeshadow?
Amazing colourization, thanks!
Also, the before and after is scary.
Well... it's colorful.
It's great to see a real woman with no botox, no lip filler and no wooly bear eyebrows! You look so beautiful!
Wooly Bear 🐻 🐻😅 I certainly don’t have those!
She has light filler and botox
..and no wooley bear eyelashes either !
If she had those things, would you be able to tell? Good cosmetic procedures are undetectable.
Is she the person who manages this page?
Looks like Greta Garbo!
'Easy'?
When women where really feminine not like now days hair shaved on sides lesbians baggy pants walking like dudes. Wish we could go back in time.
Not every woman looked like this back then. Usually, powder, lipstick, and mascara. Makeup costs money and not everyone had it.
Also, there were plenty of women dressing "masculine" back then too.
Yikes ! Lol.
The world doesn't revolve around what you find attractive.
