Can you imagine the satisfaction Kirk would have playing that breakdown riff after the solo, thinking he was just like 15 years old playing it in his bedroom, to rocking it out in front of 1.6 million. You couldn’t dream any bigger.
James was interviewed one time, and was asked what it felt like playing in front of a crowd like that? His response was imagine getting out of a shower soaking wet and walking into a curtain of electricity!
I’m seeing comments about Sunday School and Metallica…if you’re interested, here’s Pastor Rob with a break down of the song. It’s really good. Great reaction guys!!!
Harvester of sorrow at that show is great. Try the Moscow peace festival which was around the same time. It was held in the Olympic stadium. Acts such as Ozzy, Scorpions, Jovi, Skid Row, Cinderella and others.
I always wondered how many people died I heard it was. 50 then I heard it was 80 was really sure but yer hearing that many people shouting die lol I shouldn't really laugh 🤣
10:34 the sunday school thing, I was 20 in 1992 & I played so much Metallica while my kids were comin up, in 2000 my daughter was 7 and she went to church w/my mom at Easter time & Exodus from the bible came up & she quoted this song after the srvice to a bunch of my moms church friends, my mom busted out w/laughter(bc she was only 1 who knew the song & loved it) the others were like "how is she so insightful at 7 in talking about that lol ✌🏻🤘🏻🥰
My dad was raised hardcore Catholic in the 60's and 70's and isn't very religious nowadays, but when I showed him this song (he was always a Rolling Stones, Skynyrd, CCR, Bob Seger, etc. type of music fan, Metallica was a little too heavy for him) after the first verse he was like "Is he quoting Exodus?"
Metallica in Sunday School? HELL yeah! This song could be considered Christian Rock, right? Cap it off with "Leper Messiah" and "Holier Than Thou" and you've got a lesson plan right there!
Awesome reaction! The suggestion to use this in Sunday school to teach the Ten Commandments story is hilarious 😂 But then again I did hear “Highway to Hell” and Van Halen “Runnin’ With the Devil” at Junior Church, granted they were using them as examples to show how awful Rock music was. But I did catch myself rocking out a few times… oops 🤷♀️ Edit: If you haven’t already “Harvester of Sorrow” from this same concert is incredible and would be great to react to.
Boys and girls of Gen Z….that’s how you fucking play live! No play back, no inner ear monitor with the reg track conducting the band….just live, playing off each other
Well, you kind of hit the nail on the head here. In fact the crowd did exactly what they wanted to. Metallica themselves were shocked at the volume of assault, rapes and other turmoil that went on during their set. Certainly not the band's fault but I'm not entirely certain a million people together in one venues a great idea no matter where it's being held.

I would commit suicide because nothing else can beat that moment lol
Yes
Newstead’s bass and vocals on point!!! One of the Best live version of this song for sure!

What interview is this? Would love to see it. Can you post the link?
I loved how Jason Newsted sings vocals while James stepped back!
This song and Puppets are my favourites all time. And this version and MoP 1989 Seattle are just metal perfection for me 😍
Loved Jason's vocals and energy!
Same here!
the solo into the bridge is just ....mind blowing
"That crowd could do what ever they want".
Mettalica: they do what we want.

Wow! Que tiempos
Llegaste a escuchar a Metallica por los 80/90? Como de enérgicos eran los conciertos?
@@ploppyjeje8680 eran tiempos de mi juventud😸

I was front row! Shit my pants twice! And believe me I wasn't the only! 🤣

Song lays out plagues
This gets me HARD,
Metal music in Moscow right after the Soviet Union dissolved. Putin can’t compete with Metallica 👊🏽⚡️
Not exactly true. The soviet union had not yet dissolved before this concert.
Pausing on Jason's entrance on lead vocals is a downvote. Sorry. I don't make the rules. I AM A PUPPET OF THE EXTREME!
That would apply if they had known it was coming , this was just bad luck timing. That is part of a reaction.
i see yall stealing another channels name ok okq
