      @@erin_elizabethsmithi found the ordinary table of serums that interact and that are fine to mix (it seems to be old since many serums are not there) but in the table it says you can mix copper peptides with both vitamin c and retinol. i’ve been trying it and applying vitamin c suspension after at least half an hour of applying retinol over peptides and so far so good. i’ve found some research some retinols and vitamin c serums you can mix too, apparently it can boost each others benefits. i’m so confused by this point. would love cassandra to make a video about these ingredients 😭

      @funsizedi88 Месяц назад

      @@hanywhiskeylook at the ordinary products on ulta, there is always an "ongredient", "details" and "usage or directions" tab. They all say not to mix the copper peptides with direct acids/retinols(specifically lists vit c, retinol, sacilyic acid, etc.). I've looked into it extensively, get the peptides without the copper and its OK to use together. That being said, the direct acids/retinoids can reduce the effectiveness. I use my copper peptides in the AM and Retinal in the PM, personally. Oh, and I asked my derm and he agreed, that the information is correct, but that's just 1 derm so idk.

    Dude one of my favorite things about watching your channel (besides excellent skin care recommendations) is how well you explain the science side of how everything works! I feel like I have a much more well rounded perspective on skincare because of watching your channel. Your so beautiful. Over the years I have tried almost everything: face exercises, vitamin C serum (The others two you mentioned won't do much if anything), Fraxel, collagen supplements and even Retin A for about 7 years straight. However, nothing made any real difference compared to the high-quality derma pen I purchased for under 100 bucks. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm in my 20s again, but definitely not 58 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less prominent. People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin.

Would love to see you do a video comparing depology matrixyl 3000 serum vs timeless matrixyl 6000 peptide in combination with argeraline ordinary to figure out with which we get most bang for our buck. There was another well known influencer that uses the combo & says argeraline can boost the effects of these peptides by using argeraline first on wrinkle prob areas & then mixing few drops into either of these peptide serums above & spreading all over face. Would love to see a side by side comparison of both.

    The more effort I put into my skin, the worse it gets? Yes ofcourse aging is a factor, and I won't expect to look younger than 5 years ago (although some people really seem to..) I just wanted to target fine lines, big pores and be careful with my rosacea. I use a toner, serum (1 or 2) and moisturizer. I don't combine the wrong products (like acid and retinol never together), and use products when advised (fe no retinol or acids in the AM) and don't overuse. I feel like retinoids and acids have only made my issues worse. My pores got bigger, my face got extremely dry, and I suddenly got some sort of milia/baby acne over my WHOLE face. I use retinoid one night, and a BHA the other night, niacinamide in the morning. This was my routine for about 3 years now. Now I'm trying to only use BHA 1 night/week, and the retinoid one other night/week because I'm scared I just f'ed up my skin with these products. I only barely use makeup, foundation maybe once a month. Does anyone have any tips? All the info and comments everywhere seem to have much better luck than me.

    Many "retinol" serums have next to no retinol. The granactive rocks! I keep it in stock at all times

      I haven't gone back when I found out what granactive was and that they have it in a high strength. I'm for sure gonnna keep using their formula until I get older then move on to RetinA stuff

      I love it, too. I actually prefer the Ordinary’s Granactive Retinoid in emulsion to the stronger one in squalane. (I alternate between the granactive retinoid and Naturium retinaldehyde, tretinoin .05, tretinoin .1, and Differin adapalene. I was not prescribed the tretinoin; those were gifts of leftovers from thoughtful friends and relatives 😮.)

    Hey Cassandra - I really love that Granactive Retinoid serum. I have a question: I've been skin cycling for 2 months now (1 day lactic acid, 1 day that retinoid serum, then 2 days of recovery). Am I getting the most from that retinoid serum by cycling this way (and using it once every 4 days)? Should I be using it more often. -- and if so, how can I still skin cycle but incorporate another retinoid day (and best order to add it in)? Thanks! Love your videos!

      @reminisce.8343 11 месяцев назад +1

      Unless you have sensitive skin or is prone to be irritated by the retinol, use the retinol everyday for 3 days and exfoliate with lactic acid the fourth day. I have oily skin and I use that routine; I only use retinol at night. If your skin isn’t irritated then there is no need to take a recovery day. If your skin do tend to irritate, opt for a more gentler retinol like the cerave skin resurfacing one or do 2 nights of retinol, recover for 1 day, fourth day: lactic acid, and repeat.

    Argireline is ok but after using it for 4 weeks I started to get ticks right on my 11 , kind of pulsing so I stopped it and went away right away. Conclusion is that it’s not for everyone 🥴

      You can use the vitamin c 15% in the morning, moisturizer, and use sunscreen after. At night, use the retinol every other day if it’s your first time using it until you build tolerance to use it everyday. I said tolerance because new retinol users can experience irritation if used everyday. Apply the retinol and let it soak into your DRY patted skin for 15-20 minutes. Then instead of the arginine solution, i recommend using the ordinary’s multi peptide + HA after the retinol has been dried. Let the peptide dry for 2-3 min and finish off with moisturizer after.

      You can but do a patch test on your skin for the retinol. Look up how to do a patch test on skin. Also, instead of the argirline solution, go for the ordinary’s multi peptide + HA serum as it can pair with retinol after.

    I love how you're always so positive about aging and wrinkles. If it makes anybody feel better, I just celebrated my 25th birthday a couple weeks ago. And what did my body decide to give me as a gift? A white hair on my upper lip😂 but it's ok cause I know someone who is a little insecure about her mustache area, and we both were able to laugh at this and how God has a sense of humor😂😂
