Side note, although she makes it look pretty and appealing, don't use the droppers directly onto your skin. Apply what you need on your fingertips and then apply it to your face. And seriously most serums just require a few drops for your whole face. Read the recommended usage. You do not need to gob this stuff on.
To be fair, she has said in previous videos to not place the dropper on your skin and to use skincare spatulas instead of your fingernails to scoop product out of jar containers. She's all about hygiene. Which is why she gets anxiety when doing reaction videos and the person doesn't tie their hair back or wash their hands before applications lol
That’s exactly what I do. Though I do touch the dropper with my fingers I always wash my hands before I even wash my face. Yes the face wash cleans but still I wash my hands with hand wash before even cleaning my face. Though I touch my face ALOT throughout the day without thinking about it, when I clean it, I use clean hands. Sometimes when the bottle gets low the only fluid is on the dropper itself so I just shake it up a little or just move ot so the fluid gets on the dropper so when I pull it out just use a little bit on my finger.
@Mary Clark I think stuff like that will happen. I know I've done it! And I know what you mean about touching your face. I do it all the time! Terrible habit I have. I am also washing my hands constantly, tho. I'm a mess 🤷♀️

You might want to mention what pycnogenol does for the skin. It helps the skin create hyaluronic acid in the dermis, helps protect collagen from being broken up and helps a little bit in creating collagen! I love you Cassandra!
@melissama6113 no iadvise you take panthenol instead of haylorinc acid because haylorinc acid don't make skin soft like panthenol but make sure the panthenol in the product is 2 percent to get you benefit and make sure it agood product without parfume. Parpen. Sulfate or any preservatives in high range
@melissama6113 however that not mean you can't buy haylorinc acid buy it but don't use it too much but if you put haylorinc acid don't put retinol or retniod whatever in the same day vichy is a great haylorinc acid iguess
In less than 10 minutes you helped me makes sense of something I found to be very confusing. I've used the ordinary twice and stopped because honestly I didn't know what I was doing though I read through the literature for each product more than once. You're concise yet detailed explanations coupled with the cheat sheet is gold! Thanks to you I now know which Ordinary product to add to my skincare routine. Tks!!
My issue with the ordinary is I don’t know what can and can’t be used together. I don’t want to layer two things only for them to cancel each other out or one can’t break through the barrier of the other
They have a chart on their website that shows you what you can and can't use together! I had this problem, too. And now I know why my skin was burning when I was using a peel and Retinol together lol! Now I use them on alternate days and my skin is amazing!
@Courtney Kryger that's very helpful! Because I just bought the AHA+BHA peel, and the squalene retinol.. I wasn't sure how often you have to wait after using retinol. I use Adapoline gel, fucking love it.. but not trying to burn my skin off!
!!! Hi Cassandra! I'm 70 and have been using The Ordinary for a few years since I did their online 'Build Your Regimen'. I've been faithful with the products recommended along with a different brand of cleanser (Elemis) and moisturizer (Aveno). I have to tell you, my skin is now amazing and looks about 15 years younger than what it is. I get compliments ALL the time. It didn't happen overnight, but after about 4-5 months I saw a definite improvement so be patient. My skin has never looked so good and I wish I had started using The O years ago! Thanks for all your great informative videos!
Way to go Cathy! I'm so happy that you get compliments. That's what science-approved ingredients will do for you haha. Really great to heart that it was all worth it 🔥
i love how you kept the part of the video where you were kind of struggling in opening the bottle. gives us a glimpse of a more authentic side of Cassandra and i think that deserves to be appreciated. many content creators would decide to cut parts like that but you shared it so please show more of that, i feel that it humanizes the content more :) much love from this side of the world - the Philippines!
Been using The Ordinary retinols for a while and personally I prefer the Squalene over the emulsion. I find that the emulsion actually clogs my pores and doesn't spread as well, so I prefer the oily texture and it makes my skin shiny.
I'm 32 and have used the argireline solution for 2 years and it has worked wonders on the fine lines around my eyes and smile lines. I only place it where I need it.
Hmmm. Might give a couple of these a try... but I already have a great routine of primarily The Ordinary products! FYI, I'm 32, have combo & dehydrated skin with acne, I live in a low-humidity climate, and I'm a licensed esthetician. After cleansing, I love mixing the hyaluronic acid serum with the niacinamide serum, as well as mixing a few drops of the "B" Oil with the moisturizer. On days when I use Differin (adapalene), I also use the Matrixyl serum, and I'll do my serums, then moisturizer, wait 20 minutes, apply the Differin, and then moisturize again. Before bed, I do a drop of the hyaluronic acid on my lips, a drop of B Oil on top, and then cover it up with a layer of vaseline (people have asked if I get lip injections because of how plump they look from doing this, and that wasn't even my goal--I just like having soft lips!). As for a cleanser, I use the Softening Cream Cleanser from Paula's Choice; the price for the amount you get is better than The Ordinary's Squalane Cleanser, and I find it's comparable to the Vital C Hydrating Cleanser from Image, without the citrus smell. My SPF is PC's Skin Restoring Moisturizer w/SPF 50. Thank goodness for brands like The Ordinary. It makes my PC orders much more affordable, and I still get serums that are just as effective as they need to be. It's work to keep up with, but I have clear, supple, glowy, virtually textureless, wrinkle-free skin. 🙃
I just bought the Niacinamide with zinc and immediately after using it my pores look and feel tighter. Now I kinda want to try all of them. I never realized how cheap they were I always thought the ordinary was for rich people because the bottles are so fancy
Literally bought each and every one of them minus the retinoids because I already use a RetinA… thanks Cassandra honestly I’ve struggled with acne for 8 years if my life and because of you it’s pretty much gone now ! ❤
Thanks Cassandra for introducing me to real skincare and The Ordinary 2 years ago. My acne began when I was in college (12 years ago). I did not know back then how to treat it. I used Saint Ives scrub, antibacterial soaps and astringents morning and night to get rid of my acne. My pimple popping didn't help the situation either. Now, I always stock my cabinet with The Ordinary AHA BHA Peeling Solution, Glycolic Acid, Niacinamide and Retinoid Emulsion. I was considering the Peptide Serum. Been postponing it for a few months now until all my video and article researching has given me the right amount of push to include it on my routine. Been comparing it to Retinoid every now and then. But after seeing this video (as always, have good information that we cannot simply get in the website), i decided to stick to retinoid and consider Ascorbic Acid with Alpha Arbutin to help diminish my hyperpigmentation. Will definitely try the latter after finishing my Klairs Vitamin C Drop. Again, thanks Cassandra for being our Over-The-RUclips Medical Esthetician.
The only thing that i'm always missing in your videos is combination. I mean, you never say if we can use one day retinoids and the other day salicylic acid or if we can use them in same routine, when you are giving us your favourites. Of course, skintellectuals are gonna find out this, but your community grows and that would be really good addition to this. I love all about your channel, but please make it simplier. :)
You introduced me to this brand and I love that they are so affordable and effective. Could you do a video showing to how build a routine using their products? I struggle knowing how to layer the products for my skin type.
Can you do a video on pregnancy safe skincare?! I’ve been digging through articles trying to compile a list but just don’t know as much as you do. It’d be a huge help!
I’m pregnant, I’ve been making a lot of changes on my beauty routine, to protect my baby. We can’t use vitamin A , No retinols, no retinoids, no salicylic acid, I took a break from the AHA less is more. Careful with vitamin C, For acne we can use benzoyl peroxide from Ceravee , niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, natural , I’ve been told the best for pregnancy Azeliac acid. ❤ hope that helps until she responds
I struggle for years with acne recently just started using this skin care line. And the results have been amazing! I used to spend tons going to doctors, skin care clinics, different facials, and treatments. Nothing worked at good as the ordinary and it’s wayyyy cheaper!
I haven't tried much from the ordinary but from what little I have tried, I love the ordinary's retinol 0.5% in squalane, buffet and granactive retinoid 2%. So far retinol in squalane seems better for acne but both the retinol in squalane and granactive retinoid are good for brightening my complexion.
I'd love to see a video on how to add these into a routine. Do we use all of them daily? How frequently and what time of day. I'm so grateful for you and the information, but I am still confused. LOL
agreed ! I use Ordinary, and I love it. I went to their website and answered questions, and they recommended products. They tell when and what order to use. I just want to add the one with vitamin C and not sure where to stick it in lol. Ordinary did not suggest it, but I have a red mark on both of my cheeks, & starting to get age spots that drive me bonkers! Nothing has faded them yet. I'm ready to start getting chemical peels lol
I have the Salicylic Acid 2% and it makes all the pimples disappear! Even when I have my period and my face becomes full of spots and pimples, I use it and the next day they start to disappear! This is the only product from Ordinary that I have and because it works so well I decided to search for other products from the same brand. But the Salicylic Acid is amazing!!!
You missed one, the resveratrol 3% and ferulic acid 3%. It’s one of my most fav ordinary skincare and very efficacious. I pair it with their Ascorbic acid 8% and they work synergistically xD
I also heard that vit C works best with ferulic acid. I wonder if TO Ascorbic Acid 8% + AA 2% oxidizes easily. Do you have to store it in the fridge? Btw can you use it in the morning or should it only be used in the evening?
@@clone2k696 it’s stable enough to consume a 30ml bottle. I use it in the morning under sunblock. It also enhances your sun protection together with your sunblock but I do use it in the evening if I’m taking a break from retinol or any other skincare ingredients.
Love granactive retinol! Ever since my favorite Glow Recipe granactive retinol sleeping mask got discontinued, i’ve been searching desperately for other products with specifically the granactive formulation. Also curious about retinal… ugh 5 more months till im not pregnant and can start using retinols again!
Great video... I had no idea there were Soooooo many serums, it's intimidating. Maybe? You could do a Part 2 of this video and tell us how to incorporate these into a daily routine? (Like, which goes first? And which are not compatible)? Thank you in advance!
For people with PSORIASIS, please, talk with your dermatologist before using retinol and similars (bakuchiol too). Retinoids can worsen simptoms of psoriasis in a lot of cases. I learned from it myself.
Hi Cassandra, thank you so much for introducing the amazing serums from the Ordinary. Could you kindly show us how to put all of these 5 serums in 1 week skincare routine? I personally use retinol on Monday- Wednesday- Friday, BHA on Tuesday- Thursday- Saturday, and Vitamin C in the morning, however, if I want to add Argireline Solution, Caffeine Solution + EGCG and Pycnogenol into my skincare routine, how do you suggest I sandwich them? Thank you in advance :)
Hey Cassandra! Love you embracing those perfect 3a/b curls! Soooooo . . . you know the holika holika aloe gel . . . SCRUNCH THAT SHIT ALL UP IN THOSE CURLS!!!!!!! You can thank me later! It it is so gorgeous on the face and in the hair and the product isn’t going to break you out if it transfers to the face real estate. It disappears leaving no ‘product’ feel . . . And don’t get me started on the gorgeous light fresh scent
love your acne journey. look at ur skin now. so shiny dewy. love that for you. im on my way now, doesnt hv acne issue but melasma and uneven skintone. bit of freckles too. im asian currently 35 F. from malaysia. wanna try the ordinary. wish me luck!
Hi Cassandra, totally love all your knowledge and vids. Would you ever do a video about Natura siberica ? They seem great but I don't know enough about the ingredients. Many thanks
Hello beautiful informative butterfly My name is Elizabeth, I am 61 yrs younger than next yr. I was a sun lover in my not so smart days. But the sun didn't have the same feelings Like a ex I had to break it off but.. by then it was to late 🤣 I have some ...no lots of heart breaking wrinkles. I have been following you here many years now , I love your channel and have learned and turn I would love to know what about eva naturals? I have not tried them but seen them on RUclips I looked at the ingredients but have no idea if there good You were the one that got me looking at the ordinary products Are they the same as eva? Thank you sister and truly appreciate what you do here on your channel.. Bless you butterfly
love the ordinary. help to heal my severe pcos acne without dermatologist intervention. caffeine eye serum was the one i didnt like - sting my eyes and didnt have any results
You obviously haven't discovered the EUK serum because it should be on this list. It is an anti-oxident and better than using anti-oxidents like vitamin C, which is harsh. EUK can be felt penetrating into the deeper layers and feels like it is helping the moisturizing serums (my fave is the Alpha Arbutin + HA) that you use first move deep into the skin. I have dry skin acne and I have decided that Vitamin C just leaves my skin fried and with terrible texture. The Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is much much superior.
Personally i think either works. I actually use both for my acne/breakouts. I saw better results with niacinamide products for hyperpigmentations but this also depends on the product keep in mind
I keep going back to matrixyl prob cause my face is so dry. Wanted to try something in addition for acne. They have so many-love to see these videos since it can be confusing. I’ve heard argeline/matrixyl seems to work good for wrinkles together.
Sorry I missed the live chat. The alpha argireline breaks me out every time. Not acne, but always a pimple or two. I use the caffeine solution on my eyes and lips; it temporarily tightens both. The granactive 2% solution is the only thing I can use on my chest to control breakouts without irritation. I use the peptide serum twice daily (no copper - makes my skin look awful). The pycnogenol? Never heard of it!
I just started using these,,, my god! I cant believed i spend expensive product literally for NOTHING!! When theres Ordinary. Thats it. Period. Dont look anywhere else. I just hate that they always run out of stock.
Can the caffeine Serum be paired with the Vitamin C one? I'm new to skin care, but I have seen quite a few products that contain both vit C and Caffeine. I have dark circles and puffy under eyes and both products seem like they'd work concurrently.
I combine the caffeine serum with argirilene, matrixyl, caffeine ecgc, tarte vitamin e and c moisturizer and Supergoop unseen sunscreen. Then I use a tinted sunscreen by colourscience as a foundation. I add mascara and lip moisturizer and I’m good to go for the day for a basic clean look. I have brown spots, under eye darkness and one thick line in the middle of my forehead (that’s where I focus the argirilene before any other products go on). Hope this helps a bit! 😊
The Granactive Retinol and Aha Bha aren’t available in Canada which is ridiculous but my boyfriend works at a cosmetic factory which makes them both so he does bring me home some lil goodies 😩🤫😬
Could you please do a video about using AHA-BHA peels alongside retinol and Vit C? I wonder if i can safely space them out and use them through the week for colored skin
Fantastic review! You are brilliant in every way! I really really love that your are a professional. I have been using all of these but something is making my foundation stuff off😢 😮😢😮 of which I am testing the sadly discontinued ordinary serum and others - please please follow up with foundation spf 30 so only one product is required
Cassandra, can you pleeeeease review sephora skincare? I am really enjoying their aha bha pha peeling masks and would love to hear your professional opinion because it means so much to me 🥰
I would like to add Marine Hyaluronics. It's water and perfect for hydration for hot weather. But it doesn't work if you use 2-3 drops like instructed, it works if you use half of pipette, almost like a toner
Please look also into the Wake Up Beautiful Retinoid Serum from Pacifica. I would consider this a slight step down from The Ordinary's Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (since it does not contain both granactive retinoid and retinol, just granactive retinoid), but it's still pretty effective. I prefer their cream over the serum, but to each their own.
Great video! Is it safe to use the ascorbic acid 8% all over the face, layer the caffeine solution on top, and then use the pycnogenel? Or is that overkill? Thank you
So I bought the argireline after seeing a previous video of yours. I used it consistently for over a week. I didn't really notice any difference. I'm 32 and don't have severe wrinkling. But I do have minor fine lines around my eyes that I was hoping would work as a preventative treatment. Unfortunately not
Hope you enjoyed 😊 *here is my list of BEST PRODUCTS that I use as an esthetician!* ❤ ruclips.net/video/jFhjdTZJn88/видео.htmlsi=YhqGoTb2YgYuKzxB

I’m a medical professional. I tried the argireline solution through a whole bottle. Never saw the slightest difference with its use.
Cassandra, your wavy hair looks amazing! Love it. 🤩
Adrien Arpel Hands Down Best Skincare Effective Affordable Skincare Adrien Arpel Brand Has Been Out Since 1963 Still Going Strong 🏆🙌
Please give us an Adrien Arpel equivalent to each of these products. Looking forward to the suggestions. 😊
@@60Airflyte there is no equivalent to the Adrien Arpel brand it's a league on its own
@@BigVegasAlwaysWins well, the issues mentioned in this video are common. Which products target those issues?
Love granactive retinol! Ever since my favorite Glow Recipe granactive retinol sleeping mask got discontinued, i’ve been searching desperately for other products with specifically the granactive formulation. Also curious about retinal… ugh 5 more months till im not pregnant and can start using retinols again!
Great video... I had no idea there were Soooooo many serums, it's intimidating.
Maybe? You could do a Part 2 of this video and tell us how to incorporate these into a daily routine?
(Like, which goes first? And which are not compatible)?
Thank you in advance!
Thank you for your energy and enthusiasm ❤ and for the second guessers out there, get your own channel, the info provided here is helpful 🤗
Hi Cassandra. Thank you for a great post, It's been enormously helpful.
For people with PSORIASIS, please, talk with your dermatologist before using retinol and similars (bakuchiol too). Retinoids can worsen simptoms of psoriasis in a lot of cases. I learned from it myself.
Im always afraid to mix them . Please tell us where We should be careful ? ❤
Cassie your hair looks so cute today!!
Been taking vit. D almost a year and a half to correct deficiency. Recently noticed my hair got significantly thicker and fuller.

Interesting!
Great summary video, super instructive!
I d never been curious enough about this brand, I’ll still give you like babyyyy❤
A big fan of you and Ordinary serums both ❤️
I needed this video! Thank you for sharing 🫶🏼
Can we talk about how beautiful, natural and easy going she is? ❤
Ah! Thank you for sharing this! I was really thinking what one I should get 😊 I just brought the Caffeine one & going to get the Pycnogenol too!
love your acne journey. look at ur skin now. so shiny dewy. love that for you. im on my way now, doesnt hv acne issue but melasma and uneven skintone. bit of freckles too. im asian currently 35 F. from malaysia. wanna try the ordinary. wish me luck!
I just started using the granactive retinoid. Hope it works out. 🤞🏻
Hello! Tell us what do you think about it?
Thank you for the information! I’m going to try some of them
How do you layer them? What can’t I use them with?
I started using Pycnogenol because you reccommended it and I absolutely LOVE it😍😍😍😍
I have 4 of these (or a slight variation) and I just bought the 5th for my mom. I love the pycnogenol!
Thanks for the cheat sheet!!! ❤❤❤
I just want to confirm that we cannot layer the Granactive Retinoid & Ascorbic Acid 8%, Alpha Arbutin 2%. Thank you!
So you are a spokesperson for The Ordinary. Got it.
Thanks for the through explanation.
I've graduated to tretenoin but before that in OTC retinols, the retinoid 2% emulsion was my fav along with Nutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair
Love you Cassandra ❤ thanks for the amazing video’s you post! Merry Christmas
Amazing reco! Thanks! But does Buffet already have Argireline in it too?
Cassandra please review the oil free moisturizer from paulas choice
"This isn't an agriculture channel, so that's a topic for another day!" LOL I laughed
Ur hair looks great 🥰🥰 & thank you for the video as always 💖💖
Review naturium body washes and their new sunscreen spf 50 dew glow getter
Hi Cassandra, totally love all your knowledge and vids. Would you ever do a video about Natura siberica ? They seem great but I don't know enough about the ingredients. Many thanks
Can u pls do a video on Moisturizers Moisturizers pls❤❤
Hello beautiful informative butterfly
My name is Elizabeth, I am 61 yrs younger than next yr.
I was a sun lover in my not so smart days. But the sun didn't have the same feelings
Like a ex I had to break it off but.. by then it was to late 🤣 I have some ...no lots of heart breaking wrinkles.
I have been following you here many years now , I love your channel and have learned and turn
I would love to know what about eva naturals?
I have not tried them but seen them on RUclips
I looked at the ingredients but have no idea if there good
You were the one that got me looking at the ordinary products
Are they the same as eva?
Amazing! I am a big user of the ordinary. But I am confused how to use them. I will use this video as my bible to get it right. Happy Holidays 🎉🎉
I have used the granactive retinoid and I love it!!! Should I use that or adapalene gel for combatting my acne and scars/hyperpigmentation??
Personally i think either works. I actually use both for my acne/breakouts. I saw better results with niacinamide products for hyperpigmentations but this also depends on the product keep in mind
I keep going back to matrixyl prob cause my face is so dry. Wanted to try something in addition for acne. They have so many-love to see these videos since it can be confusing. I’ve heard argeline/matrixyl seems to work good for wrinkles together.
I love the Ordinary.
Thanks for this video!! 💕
Do not touch the tip of the dropper with your skin 😀
First time watching you 💕 you are such amazing 🤩
I ❤ pycgnogenol !!!!!
So helpful ❤
I was wondering if using one affects the other! Would be great to know the order / most effective combos x
The Granactive Retinol and Aha Bha aren’t available in Canada which is ridiculous but my boyfriend works at a cosmetic factory which makes them both so he does bring me home some lil goodies 😩🤫😬
I know ..can your boyfriend share…lol
I never bought anything so fast 😂 first product mentioned immediately added to cart 🛒
Thanks Cassandra new subscriber here😊
Cassandra, can you pleeeeease review sephora skincare?
Thank you
Thank you so much your video helped me to choose which of these serum suits my face i was just wondering are they ok to be used with makeup🤔
So I bought the argireline after seeing a previous video of yours. I used it consistently for over a week. I didn't really notice any difference. I'm 32 and don't have severe wrinkling. But I do have minor fine lines around my eyes that I was hoping would work as a preventative treatment. Unfortunately not
Inlove you !!! Thank you for the infoooo
