I’ve been using the Buffet with copper peptides by the ordinary and I swear that stuff is magic. I’m in my 30s and it just makes my skin look so great. I ran out for a while and my skin started to look dull, and then I started to use it again and my skin was looking great again in a few days.

About 3 weeks ago I found your channel, then started to use lactic acid, salicylic mask & some retinol, they worked so well on my skin 😭😭😭 my black heads are visibility gone, I’ve had them for my entire life since teen!!! The products I used in just three weeks, are working so well than all the high end products I used before🙏🙏🙏 I watched the skin care tips video from you two, really learnt which ingredient works for the things I want to target.. having a clear skin really makes me so confident… You two are real gems 💎 also your video makes me happy! 😊😊 thank you so much!!!

I use the ordinary product line. I haven't used the product they have with copper in it as it's not very friendly with other products. You have to understand this product line do you know what you can use to gather and what you can't. Rule thumb is retinol usually doesn't play well with antioxidants and direct acids. However, the key is to these conflicting products at opposite times of the day. I use niacinamide with zinc, Resveratrol antioxidant, sunscreen in the a.m. I use the buffet Serum, retinol in squalane, and they're moisturizer at night. Also understanding that water-based serums first and allowed to dry, apply water free serums next, then gels, then creams. You will know if you put them on out of order because you will have a pulling type of feel on your face. Anyway, I'll just wanted to talk about the ordinary product line. It's more potent than what you would buy in the drugstore but not as potent as what you would get in a dermatologist office; however, over time it will work.
I finally got around to starting a skincare regimen a few months ago. Had "The Buffet with copper peptides" on my wishlist. In the meantime, had gotten a little bottle of the Biossance one with my points at Sephora. I tend to sometimes be sensitive to random things and this turned out to be one of them? Unfortunately broke me out. I then went ahead and got the one from The Ordinary and thankfully haven't had any problems.
The Ordinary's formulations are awful and I wouldn't trust them with vitamin C, retinol, peptides or anything else that uses effort to keep active in a product. Their lactic acid is also useless and does nothing due to having too low an FAV from poor formulation. It literally does nothing. My advice is to steer clear.
That’s reassuring because my skin tends to be sensitive to stuff too. I got a peptide product from good molecule and it irritated my skin so I got rid of it
I have read and heard so many reports that state that peptides are far too large to actually penetrate the skin. Do you know of any actual studies that have looked at whether or not any peptides can fit past the epidermis or do they even need to if they are able to send chemical signals which allow for the benefits to occur? Thank you so much for mentioning the Jargon that The Ordinary (and other companies) use to make peptides sound like prescription miracle drugs, as opposed to a topical solution.
Thank you! WOW! What a steep discount! I want to switch to more eco friendly products. I love my skin. I currently use StriVectin, and have since it first came out and that’s a huge chunk of change, but when something is worth it, never skimp on your body! I am switching bcuz my liver is problematic. It’s so true that what you put on your face your body breaks down! Be careful and love yourself! Your skin is the shell to who you are, so take a few minutes to step outside yourself and learn to truly love your body and treat it with the best you can.
Thank you for being so thorough AND entertaining! In future reviews, could you also cover the scent a product might have? I’m super sensitive to scents, even my eyes burn from them. Keep making content! I love it and it’s been so helpful for our family’s needs!
@@jessicablum4096 thanks! I went ahead and tried the cetaphil gentle cleanser and I had a very strong reaction to it. Couldn’t get the smell off me quick enough. I’ll try the other!
I found the Ordinary Buffet + Copper Peptides to be very smelly. If you are sensitive to smells, I'm not sure you could tolerate this product. Copper is a metal, so the product smells like metal and vinegar. I used the bottle, but went back to just the Buffet when it was gone. I didn't see enough of a difference to subject myself to the smell.
Perfect!!! Was looking for deals on Biossance AND wasn’t sure what I should buy and this BUNDLE is on point!!! Thank you so Much and Thanks to Biossance!!!
Love you guys. I'm an esthetician and I value your opinions. I like that you don't always agree on everything. You each have your favorite products and ingredients
Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced binding enhancement technology which produces a water molecule that hydrates skin and hair. It repairs, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.
I use the Ordinary copper peptides, is great. But don't listen to what they tell you not to use. You can use Vit C with retinol. Can't use Vit C with peptides. Other than that, you can use it wit ceramides, antioxidants or with retinol. Just no Vit C with peptides.
Great video!! Very articulate + well spoken as well as easy to understand 😊 I’ve been using the Biossance Copper Peptide serum for a month-ish now and I’m super happy with it. Love the glass bottle too, I appreciate it so much when products come in glass!
This is off topic but how do you feel about all the Collagen powder supplements? Do they help in your opinion because I want to know if I'm wasting my money or not on this product.
Me six. They're so expensive where I live! I've just opened my second canister but I can't tell if it makes a difference because I've also switched skincare products during that time, so I don't know what to attribute the differences to.

I may add my vitamin c back in at night if I have a night or 2 off my Tretinoin 0.1. Thanks guys! Your the best! Love Tia 💘
So, can I make the conclusion from this video that it is totally fine to apply copper peptide before or after Tretinoin !!! Right? Could you please answer this; many people asked this question! Thanks 🌺🌺
I thought we addressed this in the video but it must have gotten cut in post-production! There’s no evidence that it has ever done that but, theoretically, it’s possible! Great thinking, we thought the same thing
My moisturizer has my ceramides in them+ I add Some Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin skin barrier cream. FYI, I am DRY, dry skin ,hair ,humor, you get it. I believe when your skin loves the regimen it's getting it can show it positively❣️
Such a good question. I've looked it up all over the place since I got a moisturizer with copper peptides last year, and it seems they don't play well with others at all. I use tret at night, copper peptide moisturizer in the morning. Great results as far as skin texture so far, only started using it daily about a month ago.
Ordered the trio yesterday, thanks for the insight on these products! I'm a big fan of the probiotic gel moisturizer and the Vitamin C Squalane rose oil.
Thank you for the content appreciate y’all so much, and how your subject is always broken down into every day language. Is this the only copper peptide you like or will you be doing a deep dive on your top three favs, or maybe your favorite skin care combinations to include a copper peptide products?
Why have you guys never told us about copper in all the other videos about essential skincare ingredients?!?! Also what do you guys think about matrixyl 3000 and matrixyl synthe 6? Please and thank you.
FYI: peptides, iron & copper aren’t neutral. They can be a lot more, much more, if you have diagnosed or undiagnosed 💢cancers💢. “Depleting copper levels may reduce the production of energy that cancer cells need to travel & establish themselves in other parts of the body by a process referred to as 💢metastasis💢, according to a new study by investigators from Weill Cornell Medicine & Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK)” 15 Dec 2021
I have the Biossance Copper Peptides, but i also use the Biossance Rose Oil with vit C. I have been using them together, but after watching this, I’ll have re-think that.
I was so proud of myself for deciding to go against the copper tripeptide trend & now you’ve turned me around. I tried the The Ordinary serum & wasn’t impressed. Now I’m super intrigued by the Biossance. Grrrr. The only things you mentioned not using copper with is Vit C and Kojic acid. What about retinol and AHA acids? TO says no but Deciem has all kinds of contradictions for several products but I’m inclined to think that it’s either their formulations and/or they are just super cautious. They also say not to use with “strong” antioxidants (I have no idea what that means) but you said it is in of itself an antioxidant. Thoughts?
Thanks so much for this informative video. In a previous video, Dr. Maxfield mentioned that he has some hesitation with the copper in copper peptides because it could cause an increase in hyperpigmentation. Are these studies suggesting that the copper in these products will not cause hyperpigmentation for those at risk for hyperpigmentation/melasma?
I definitely do need anymore skin care stuff because I have more than I’ll ever need but of course I’ll spend another $200+ on Biossance. Thanks doctors.
I think peptides are great, I’m one of those people that tries EVERYTHING, and stares at their skin 2 millimeters away from the mirror to see EVERY bit of texture. Honestly, I saw no improvement with copper peptides and I used them for a couple of years. I really really wanted to love them but they just didn’t do anything for collagen production. I will say my skin healed faster from pimples/scratches etc. but nothing else really. I stick to my matrixyl peptides.
Nice video, but it is unfortunate that it was sponsored by Biossance because there are much better Copper peptide products out there, such as NIOD's CAIS 1:1 and the Ordinary's Buffet + Copper Peptides. Penn. Smith. Skincare also has a wonderful review of Copper Peptides and she lists a number of key, effective Copper Peptide products.
This is an educational video on copper peptides and what their potential benefits are. No one is under the obligation to use copper peptides and if they do want to, they can use the Biossance version or other ones as you mentioned. We need to move away from the idea that sponsored content = bad. In order for channels like this to thrive, sponsorships, gifted PR, affiliate codes and viewership engagement are all important.
At the end of the day they need to make money to keep a channel running, I never take opinion of a sponsered product, just happy that the creator has an avenue for income.
I have personally used a few of those copper peptide products, and I disagree that they are “better”. The Biossance one is personally my favorite copper peptide serum I have ever used! I just love it!
Love you guys, you are so funny! You bring a wealth of great information to help us have great skin. Over the years I have purchased so many products that didn’t work and a waste of money. I love skincare products that come in glass bottles, especially brown bottles. I reuse them for my DIY mixes.
My AM routine is VitC, Buffet, Lactic acid & moisturizer. For mature skin what is more beneficial, Vit C or Copper peptides? At night I use Rx Tretinoin and I’m guessing Copper Peptides don’t play nice with Tretinoin either which is why I haven’t included copper in my routine yet.
I had a manager at Sephora. give me a sample of Bio essence peptid face cream and the eye cream. and was anazed!!! In three weeks I saw a decrease in my nasolabial folds and under my eyes! I love it and bought both on-line. They had a good discount and sent some free products!!!! My brown patches are fading too! I’ve use tretinoin for years and have not see results like this!

That’s reassuring because my skin tends to be sensitive to stuff too. I got a peptide product from good molecule and it irritated my skin so I got rid of it
That's because Sephora is a crappy company when it comes to clean products
@@ashlynnbarber5433 "Clean" products are a scam. No product is "clean". This word means nothing.
I love the Buffett from the ordinary. Use it in replacement of my vit c.
Please do a video indicating a skincare regimen for rosacea. Thank you so much 💕
So where/how would I fit copper peptides in my routine if I’m already using vit c every morning and retinol every night? 🤷🏼♀️
exactly this!
I think it gets overwhelming there’s too many things to apply im sure it can’t be good for the skin using so many , simple is best i find
Night= vitamin c then wait thirty minutes and apply retinol.
Morning=niacinimide then copper peptides
Vitamin C in the morning!
Copper peptides at night, alternating with retinols
@cathylaver4146 a dermatologist said to use at night alternating with retinol every other night
Thank you!

In future reviews, could you also cover the scent a product might have? I’m super sensitive to scents, even my eyes burn from them.
Keep making content! I love it and it’s been so helpful for our family’s needs!
I'm also sensitive to scents! Mostly they cause headaches, but sometimes the eyes get in on the action, too.
CerVe and Cetaphil, cheap and no fragrance

You guys rock ! & it definitely helps that you 2 are massive eye candy 😍
IKR? Sweethearts the 2 of them 😊
They are so cute
Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced binding enhancement technology which produces a water molecule that hydrates skin and hair. It repairs, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.
Some say don't use copper peptides in the same routine as tretinoin but others say it's ok if you don't experience irritation. What say you?
No irritation but the retinoic acid would likely destroy the peptides.
watch the video
I use the Ordinary copper peptides, is great. But don't listen to what they tell you not to use. You can use Vit C with retinol. Can't use Vit C with peptides. Other than that, you can use it wit ceramides, antioxidants or with retinol. Just no Vit C with peptides.
Love this. 🙏🏼
Great video!! Very articulate + well spoken as well as easy to understand 😊
I’ve been using the Biossance Copper Peptide serum for a month-ish now and I’m super happy with it. Love the glass bottle too, I appreciate it so much when products come in glass!
Do you use a moisturizer after using the serum?
You two are so fun. Thank you for many smiles and all of the skincare knowledge you share with us. Much love and happiness always 💙
I enjoy how completely honest and real you guys are!!! 'We do it to get you to click!!!' Thank you for being completely transparent!!
Thoughts on The Ordinary copper peptide serum?
This is off topic but how do you feel about all the Collagen powder supplements? Do they help in your opinion because I want to know if I'm wasting my money or not on this product.
Me too
Me three
Me four
Me five
Me six. They're so expensive where I live! I've just opened my second canister but I can't tell if it makes a difference because I've also switched skincare products during that time, so I don't know what to attribute the differences to.
LOVE Biossance! Great products and packaging!
The packaging? Does that help your skin? 🙄
I’d love to see a video on your favorite products with camellia sinensis!

Hey guys! 👋 it's been a while but I had to click this as iv been using the Ordinary Buffet tri copper peptide for about 2 to 3 weeks now, without my vit c, and I absolutely LOVE ❤ it!
I may add my vitamin c back in at night if I have a night or 2 off my Tretinoin 0.1.
Thanks guys! Your the best!
Love Tia 💘
You guys are so wonderful to my soul. I love watching you try the products. It's pure joy.
So, can I make the conclusion from this video that it is totally fine to apply copper peptide before or after Tretinoin !!! Right? Could you please answer this; many people asked this question! Thanks 🌺🌺
I loooove the biossance algae eye cream and lactic acid serum, as well as the vitamin C rosehip oil. Their products are divine.
Question: if copper is a cofactor for tyrosinase, can that lead to more PIH on someone with a deeper skin tone and acne?
I thought we addressed this in the video but it must have gotten cut in post-production! There’s no evidence that it has ever done that but, theoretically, it’s possible! Great thinking, we thought the same thing
@@Doctorly Confusing as I've heard that cooper peptides are good for clearing hyperpigmentation?
My moisturizer has my ceramides in them+ I add Some Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin skin barrier cream. FYI, I am DRY, dry skin ,hair ,humor, you get it. I believe when your skin loves the regimen it's getting it can show it positively❣️
Could copper peptides be used in the pm before or after trentinoin?
Such a good question. I've looked it up all over the place since I got a moisturizer with copper peptides last year, and it seems they don't play well with others at all. I use tret at night, copper peptide moisturizer in the morning. Great results as far as skin texture so far, only started using it daily about a month ago.
A lot of people don't understand that you CAN use Vit.C derivative. I like THD. Also, discovered SAP can help with acne.
Great video! I’m really curious to see if you two had an opinion on CoQ10 in skincare ingredients.
yes! great question - I've recently seen this now in skincare and am curious!

Ordered the trio yesterday, thanks for the insight on these products! I'm a big fan of the probiotic gel moisturizer and the Vitamin C Squalane rose oil.
I just received this free from my job. Havent tried it yet but great timing on the review! Thank you Drs!!!
Thank you for the content appreciate y’all so much, and how your subject is always broken down into every day language. Is this the only copper peptide you like or will you be doing a deep dive on your top three favs, or maybe your favorite skin care combinations to include a copper peptide products?
I was waiting for this video! Thanks a lot.
Can you use it in your Night routine if you use a Retinol? Thanks for the information.
Love glass. It’s recyclable! That’s why I like biossance!
Why have you guys never told us about copper in all the other videos about essential skincare ingredients?!?! Also what do you guys think about matrixyl 3000 and matrixyl synthe 6? Please and thank you.
FYI: peptides, iron & copper aren’t neutral.

You make the most educational videos on skincare! ❤ Please can you tell us more about melasma and how to get rid of it.
I have the Biossance Copper Peptides, but i also use the Biossance Rose Oil with vit C. I have been using them together, but after watching this, I’ll have re-think that.
Can the copper peptides be used in the same routine with azelaic acid,?
You guys are awesome!
Thoughts?
i would love to see a video on how to do skin care with a beard!
I need an answer to this too 😳
I definitely do need anymore skin care stuff because I have more than I’ll ever need but of course I’ll spend another $200+ on Biossance.
What do they matrixyl peptides do and which brand do you use if you don’t mind me asking?
@@lynntaylor-smith8451 they help build collagen, i get mine from Timeless.
You guys are the best. Thanks for sharing all the knowledge about the the skin and products.
Linda Bruce -- Thanks so much for posting that. Always prefer to hear from "real" folks!
@@cv7958 agree with you, it's an excellent video, very educational, and you don't necessarily have to follow all the products they recommend.

Love you guys, you are so funny! You bring a wealth of great information to help us have great skin. Over the years I have purchased so many products that didn’t work and a waste of money. I love skincare products that come in glass bottles, especially brown bottles. I reuse them for my DIY mixes.

They could have @ least more affordable brands!
Thank you! Same question.
How would you add copper peptides to this rosacea routine:
Morning: Ivermectin 1%, azelaic acid
Evening: Tretinoin
You guys should talk about growth factors next, another skin care topic that confuses me.
Yes! I've stopped myself using it due to negative info online.
I had a manager at Sephora. give me a sample of Bio essence peptid face cream and the eye cream. and was anazed!!! In three weeks I saw a decrease in my nasolabial folds and under my eyes!
