The one thing I’ve been wanting the sims team to fix is cutting trees of when they get inside a room. I don’t want any leaves coming through my walls hahaha

I really like the onsen lot, it feels like a finished lot. Often the venues in sims feel so displaced and empty. Like its a work in progress. The lots in snowy escape do all feel like an actual place that ppl go to

I hate how the sims shower in their swimsuit, get dressed, go outside and get back into their swimsuit. Its unnecessary.

I didn’t know that I needed platforms but I did and I’m thinking this might be more exciting than when they implemented terrain editing (dont @ meee I just never use the tool 🤷🏼♀️)

I totally agree! I think this is the best, most useful, build tool they've given us
This and the window and door update has been revolutionary for building and they have implemented it so well it feels like those features were always in the game. I do use terrain a little bit, to make gardens more dynamic, but not like platforms, I want to use them everywhere!
I’m Japanese, and I think the lots in snowy escape are very.... “Japanese from the perspective of a an non-Japanese”. Like, you can see that the people who built it doesn’t really know Japanese architecture like a native person would. But its ok, its just a game and you could just renovate or rebuilt if you’d like :-))
it would've been cool if the simmers they asked to build lots for snowy escape did more actual research instead of just looking at photos or referencing from pop culture depictions, that's for sure.

@@Mayannaise4 if so, they're gonna need Japanese architects for consulting and such. The sims builders are not architects and not Japanese, and the pack is an interpretation, a Japanese 'inspired' pack, just like the lots in The Sims 3 World Adventures are inspired by the real world.
@@bluemoonfaekynd8624 not necessarily, could’ve just been a Japanese member of staff, it doesn’t actually have to be and architect but also, I didn’t disagree with microwaav when they said that the simmers could’ve done more research themselves but ultimately it’s all up to the builders regardless of whether they got anyone’s help like it would still be only Japanese inspired from an American company
i know that kayak (lilsimsie) did some research with her builds because she had talked about it in her videos! i’m not sure about the others but maybe you could check out the video she made :)
Every time a new pack comes out, I always start it by playing a rags to riches, and my guy is spending loads of time at your onsen! It’s a small and simple area, but I love the cosy fireplace area at the front. It was his go-to nap spot in between snowboarding before he could afford a tent 😊
Bro I barely wear bras anymore with quarantine. I only wear them when I have to go out for long periods of time, and as soon as I get home It's OFF. 😂
I can get away with sports bras working from home, nobody knows any different!! 😂🤣😂
Deli, I don't know if you already know this, but if you push SHIFT+TAB while selected on a Sim IN GAME, you can enter their perspective from 1st person. I've played my game in this perspective, and I've acted like I am the Sim walking around. You don't have full control...... but it's close enough. If you're grabbing something from the fridge for example, you literally walk up to the fridge, grab the food, and see it all being made in front of you. With your 2 hands and all. The Sims 4 is a totally different experience in 1st person. I would love to see you try it, or give that feature more exposure. I feel like not enough people know about it. :( but it''s a game changer. Might even be good for an LP.

I totally understand what you mean about dominant dogs. I have an American Akita and it’s important to keep her in check and regularly enforce her training because Akita’s like to challenge their owners in an attempt to become the alpha in the household. I think Chows are pretty similar in that regard.
Not letting the dog on the couch unless there is a blanket isnt sad at all. They need structure and reasuerence that you are the alpha. My sister's dogs know they need the blanket so sometimes when they want to cuddle and she's sitting on the other side they would take the blanket and pull it next to her it's solo cute

I really like the glass box effect you created with the windows! The windows from the new pack are really perfect for this style of house!haha I love how over the top you went with platforms everywhere, I feel like that’s everyone right now - You get a platform, you get a platform, every room and every build gets a platform!
This build is incredible Deli!! One of the first things I saw and loved was the outdoor shower!! I also love the outdoor sunken living space, and the sneaky ladder workspace!! You did an amazing job!! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 Thanks for sharing this, I'm thrilled to have it in my game! 💞
I agree how walkthroughs are a lot nicer than screenshots since many of us like to do builds and plays it makes it feel like we're playing with you. And it can become similar to our own gameplay.
I've noticed that you and James and Kayla have been doing walkthroughs lately. It's a nice touch. Also nice because like Kayla mentioned before, there are things that aren't seen in the building process or speeding up parts but you'll see in the walkthroughs.
Imagine if when you placed a carpet over the edge of a platform (or even stairs) and it would render into a soft cloth and drape over the edge! 🙀

I love the onsen and the other lots by the other creators as well! Usually EA makes the lots kind of empty and the space isn’t utilized well. I think you, james, lilsimsie etc. did great!! 🤍

I really love the walkthroughs after the speed builds! You’re right I feel they’re a much better way to gauge how sims will move about in it and how the build will actually be to play in.
I have to say I’m so impressed with this build, it’s SO creative and I’m always absolutely floored by your skill!! I’m really loving the newcrest rebuild recently and I’m excited to see it all completed!
Also an edit: the british version of The Office is the original and although I know the US one is universally loved, I feel like the British one does not get enough love!

Our dogs also have a designated spot in the couch with their blanket. They aren’t a dominant breed at least towards humans (they are mini dachshunds) but they love their spot. It was a very natural transition. They then are allowed on my lap whenever they want (and I am free for snuggles)
this is a classy build and yet at 32:09 I'm still imagining a drunken sim standing at the edge of the dining room peeing into the kitchen sink 🤦♀️

I'm going to watch this video once I can actually play Sims again, sadly after the update my game keeps crashing which seems to be a known issue 😥 It's unplayable at the moment so til it's fixed I'm not watching RUclips vids as it makes me sad I can't play along😂

A conversation pit is a definition for a type of living area generally within a larger living area that is deeply lowered into the ground. Sunken living rooms and kitchens from the 70s were a single step up or down.
Still is a pain in the neck, I have both a sunken living room and a sunken kitchen.
Remember when we used to call James Semaj.. oh good old times! Loved the build deli 🥰

I think you’re making perfect choices for your dog! They are your family and you give them the limitations they need to feel secure. That’s how some dogs are. Besides that, they have a spot on the couch that’s theirs that’s perfect!!

I got comfy as you asked! I got up at 7:00am so I could watch a lilsimsie stream. The only reason I could do that was that SA is back in lockdown which means I have to do homeschool and we can't even go out for exercise. Only one family member can go to the supermarket at a time wearing a mask. It's only for 6 days but we might have to do longer. We are lucky that our government is working this fast to get it under control. But I am so happy that Victoria is getting much better because I used to live in Melbourne and I have so many friends their and you of course. I hope you are doing well!

curtains are from the bafroom pack and cc windows can be fixed through the sims 4 studio batch fixes so the creators do not have to fix them manually

Heyoo! As a swede from Stockholm who is also an IKEA employe I’m here to tell you that white walls and light wood colors are very much still the base of modern Scandinavian style (at least per definition at IKEA). You seldom find so much black and white though. Its more about that light, bright and airy feel with bright colour elements and details!

A family member of mine has a sunken kitchen! It's deep enough that you need to watch your step but doesn't require stairs - always thought it was cool when I was a kid

When i was little i had a reacurring house in a couple of my dreams, and that house now that i think about it is all platforms haha,, and this house reminds me of it,, obviously it was different but def the same vibes =)

Family members all must learn to have boundaries. You are doing just fine with giving Bowser boundaries. Even more, no matter how old he gets, he will likely be a human toddler at heart. Toddlers need boundaries! Besides, he might actually take as special treatment. "May blanket on my part of this couch. Mine."

The weird shadowing is from the rooms on the floors below. I realized when I use platforms on my first floor and I put walls up for the different rooms, the wall layout shows up in a shadow on the second floor.

The shadow might be from the light from the platform below catching the top of the half wall, I pop a wall light on them it brightens the space! Hope that helps love your content!! ❤️✨
