Less than 2 weeks later: *shows off builds she made that are in the new expansion, which introduces split living through platforms*
James: We've been working on these lots since August
i was just going to comment that! hahahaha
I was thinking exactly that!
Talking about how she'd want split levels knowing that it's coming because she's building for Snowy Escape 😏
lol yup i thought the same thing when she said that
hahaha
Deli: That’s actually from Battu
Me: Battu?
Also me: oh! Forgot about that pack
James watching this...
Aaaahhhhh! BATTU!
I too completely ignore its existance. I just recently told someoneone when we talked about curret sale i have all the game packs, and she asked "even the batuu?" And I was like "the frog is a batuu?"
IDK why everybody has such a big problem with the Star Wars pack!

I laughed when she mentioned listing prices from high to low. Like the internet version of “motherlode”.
LMAO this actually made me laugh
“Utility rooms” are kind of a regional thing, houses that have unfinished basements don’t usually have them because all the utilities are just in the basement, but houses in areas where basements are not common are more likely to have a utility room, it’s for water heaters, boilers, furnaces, electric boxes, pipe clean outs, HVAC panels, etc and often laundry is tucked in there too. A lot of time laundry rooms and utility rooms are combined. In a fancier newer house you might have both separate though.
This is true. Unless you have a garage. Every house ive lived in all of this is in the garage. Even when we had a basement.
Cheyenne Dial you're right! I forgot about attached garages, every house I've had (that had one) the garage has been detached.
@@skyechimes658 ive only had one with a detached. And then everything was in the laundry room. Ive seen alot say we call them laundry rooms in the US. But i live in the PNW. Laundry if not in a separate room. Woth a slop sink and some storage then its usually off the kitchen or bathroom as a closet with just the W/D maybe some room for the vacuum mop shampooer. And the water heater/other stuff is still in the garage. Except the one with a detached. It had a small room off the kitchen still seperate from our laundry.
have you ever walked into a utility room by accident? horrible vibe. cold and dead feeling with an off smell to top it off lmao
australia here- never heard of anyone having any of that stuff in their homes here 😭 we just have a laundry room. and my house doesn’t even have a proper garage in it lol
Well I can say I have never had a bath with my dog (German Shepherd). But when she was a puppy she jumped in the shower with me and scared the heck out of me lol

A utility room is where you would put the utilities, basically any appliance or home feature that didn't already have a set room (like the stove being in the kitchen) most of the time laundry rooms in America are considered utility rooms.
2020: *Every simmer on RUclips gets sponsorship from Zillow*
Me: "Where's my sponsorship?!!"
Lol I need one too... for my 23 subscribers 😅
I hope this isn't too weird of a question but how do you get a custom banner on your channel?
@@leahjoy6422 Oh, I made my own using PicMonkey.
Thank you!
I’d happily watch an hour speed build!
And me!!
Me too! I hate when parts are cut out. I looove when its longer
Congrats on the sponsorship!! "Utility room" is typically a British term, but some people in America use it. We tend to call it a laundry room though. They can serve other purposes, but typically it is used for doing laundry.
"Utility room" is a pretty ubiquitous term in America too, actually.
Sometimes called a mud room as well if it leads to the backyard
Hi deli I was just really upset and feeling sad and then I got a notification that you posted a video and it made me feel a bit better 😁❤️
Is every simmer getting sponsored by Zillow? Example: Vixella, Lilsimsie. There is more don’t worry.

hey deli!
a video recommendation: please please try building an Indian middle class home or apartment by going through the inspo you get from google, etc! trust me it’s going to be really funny and surprising for a westerner like you! stay safe and take care! You’re the best Deli❤️
That sounds like a cool idea! What do you think would be the most interesting find?
Pleaseee I have spent daysss looking for Indian simmers or just simmers who did an Indian house build but there just aren't too many😭😭😭
@@alexiaperalta1596 I mean, there are a lot of things that are done differently in India and it’s neighbouring countries, but what would be really funny is that we don’t have toilet rolls in our bathrooms, jet sprays are used, usually open plan houses-the hall connecting the dining area, balcony spaces with swinging chairs, etc.
And since it’s middle class, you will get to know how we really make use of the little space we get, but would love for Deli to do a 2bhk,2bathrooms build-cause that’s what most apartments offer these days!
@@masratshaikh6022 yes I would love to see deli work on this!
@@GoffMoff I totally agree with you-hopefully we get to see more diversity-like we got to see in snowy escape !
I just can’t get over how beautiful Deli’s builds are. Debating making a new save and just filling it with my favorite Deli builds. 😂❤️
When I had a bathtub at a previous home (which I miss so so much 😭) my dog would indeed try and jump in with me. He’s a big boy so I would try and stop him but he always wanted in 😂 (even though he HATES baths on his own).
Also, this is one of the most beautiful builds I’ve ever seen, Deli! Looking at hella extravagant homes on Zillow is one of my favorite things to do, lol.
If you have a utility room in the U.K., generally you have a bigger than average home lol. It’s kind of like a US laundry room I guess, most people have their washer/dryer, a sink and sometimes dishwasher and an extra fridge/chest freezer, and it’s usually attached to the kitchen.
Our “utility room” in our house is the back hallway between the kitchen/bathroom/back door... literally JUST enough room for the washer and dryer under the boiler 😂
We had washer, bread bin and a toilet for some reason, wo random!
Hi deli, recently started watching back the old let’s plays like orphanage, cobbs family, island living, single dad, university and much more!
I also watched some of deli’s cooking/vlogs video etc it was all so emotional and touching omg I can’t.
Btw this build is also awesome 👏🏻
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🌈 love u deli
When are you uploading this to the gallery?!?!?
it's still not up
Deli saying she wishes there was split leveling, fine well knowing it's coming to the game after making lots for Snowy Escape lol
In case you're wondering about building science general rule of thumb is to keep things like plumbing, utility room etc on the same side of the room.
It makes the systems less expensive to put in and increases the equipments efficiency if it has less of a journey around the home.
Edit* utility rooms hold hot water tanks, ventilation equipment, sometimes laundry etc.
love how sometimes deli is so serious but other times she’s so silly 😛.
I don’t have anything against longer videos that are up to an hour, but if that’s the case I like it to be something I can put in the background and don’t have to focus too much on:) that’s just my take on it!
I really like how the house came out! It’s beautiful!
I really needed a video from you right now (my anxiety levels are crazy and your videos always help🥰), I was looking through the old ones. Notification made me so happy, I can try to fall asleep now ❤️ ❤️

This is one of the most gorgeous builds you have ever done! I love all the natural woods and colours go together - you are so good at making it look relaxing and lived in! And I’m dying for that outdoor space!!!!
Woah Deli. Honestly your most impressive build yet, well done!
in the us a “utility room” is just a laundry room. from what i have experienced, most younger generations just call it a laundry room whereas people age like 50+ are more likely to call it a utility room
we use them for furnaces, water heaters, and water softeners in Canada.
@@juliajfttheworld In the US, too.
Yep. Landry room.
Depends on where you are and what your house looks like. My parents’ laundry is in the upstairs bathroom. Utility room is downstairs with the water softener, sump pump, etc. Plus storage.
That makes sense. My house is a slightly newer build, and I could not figure out what a utility room was. Our water heater is just in the garage lol
I have a full tub and shower combination. I've never taken a bath, only showers. I use the tub as a large sink. I've put throw rugs in it. Soaked them with cleaners and pushed them around like a washing machine. Then I took my shop vacuum to finish them. After a few rinse and repeat, you can sleep on them. Clean and soft as a baby's bottom. Also, cleaning up the tub isn't hard at all. For very dirty rugs? Take them outside first and blast the heavy dirt out of them, as well as vacuum before using the tub if you try it. I learned the hard way. Rugs are a magnet for dirt and germs. You might as well as have a sponge for a carpet. Major LOL!
Typically, American and British homes have a room to stores cleaning items (ex. Broom, vacuum cleaner, etc.) and washing and drying machines. In the US it is most commonly referred to as a laundry room. In the UK it is commonly called a utility room.
i live in the uk and i’ve got a utility room, it basically just has our washing machine and dryer thing, it also has a sink, our boiler and the controller thing to turn on/off the heating and hot water
This is one of my favorite builds you’ve ever done!!! I always watch your videos in my car before work or on my breaks & they give me such a boost of good energy and positivity! You are contagious ❤️
One of my favorite builds you’ve done in awhile. I could see an LP in this house. I want another dramatic, rich people LP soon PLS ❤️
Deli would be an amazing architect/interior designer. This build is too gorgeous 😍😍
I’d love an hour long video! Also it would be fun if you did a Mediterranean looking house! I’ve tried so many times and failed and I’d love to see you try! xoxo
What's a Mediterranean looking house?
@@hannahprice2614 like the desert world style I think
I did one, it's a small modest house, but I love how it turned out :) if you'd like to check it out i can give you my username and you can downlaod it
Its kinda funny to watch her „cross her fingers for split levels“ now that they announced she‘s been using them since summer while building on the lots of Mt. Komorembi (or something)in the snowy escape pack🤔😂
Deli, I totally take showers with both my dogs and my daughter has always taken occasional baths with our dogs. She scrubs them up nice and cuts the nails. They are a part of our family, and as long as you do not dry out their skin, it's fine.
In the US, utilities room or utilities closet are normally in homes without basements. They typical hold the fuse box for the home, water heater, water softener machine (for places with hard water or well water), things for the home utilities and sometimes laundry machines. If the house has a basement all that is typically there but not always. Depends a lot on the age of the house and when it was last renovated. Love the build.
The exterior of the home really reminds me of David Hockney paintings from the 60s
A utility room is in Ireland and I think Britian. It’s where we keep our freezer and laundry stuff!
we have that in the US as well. Mostly laundry stuff
Utility rooms are usually either a laundry room or literally a utility room, a room to access all of your utilities like hot water heater, electrical panel, intercom system/smart home/surround sound systems if you have them. Or sometimes both laundry and utility access. More often they are closets that you don’t really go into unless there’s a problem, than a whole actual room.
I love your modern mansions and speed builds very much
😚👌❤️ Your voiceover's relaxing to listen to too. These build custom content are so good! I wish I could use them in my game but I'm worried about the Gallery flagging my builds with CC. I'm sending you my best wishes Deli, hopefully you will be able to live with Bowser and James in your dream home soon 🤞🌠
It's gorgeous! So incredibly beautiful! I really like the details you added
Deli we need this in the gallery 😭 I want to download it!
Hey Deli :) A utility room is just a laundry room. (don't know if you were just confused by the name, or if you don't have those either.)
I don’t think Aus has laundry’s?
Me watching this now watching her "hope" for split levels. While knowing she was working on snowy escape. Hhhhhmmm 😂
who else would love an hour speed build!!
Here in Ireland, the utility room has usually got the washer and dryer, some times an extra fridge or freezer etc. Ours is washer, dryer, chest freezer, a sink, a clothes drying rack that hangs from the ceiling, ironing press, coat racks and outdoor shoes, and another door to the outside
I like 20 to 30 min builds plus a walk through. So like a happy medium!! I love this build Deli! Super cool!
Omg you really out did yourself! In love with the build 🥰
When people say ‘European looking’ I’m always??? West? Eastern? Northern? Southern?
Like literally Iceland, Spain or Scotland bruh
honestly! She meant old English probably, because you'd never see that style in Mediterranean Europe!!!
Right! Every State in Europe has different architecture
2:06 She knew it was coming haha
Utility room: we'd have our furnace, our water heater, possibly the utility box (all the switches and fuses and circuit breakers)...but also the laundry room. When I build a laundry room, in my Sims I tend to put CC furnaces and water heaters there too.
Hey Deli, can you make a spooky build soon? Anyways, I love your videos!
Would love to see that
Cant believe that deli forgot to put a bed or food bowl for bowser, she was even talking about bowser! 😢 Its not good enough deli 🤣
Also the longer the better for delis builds
A utility room is usually where we’d have our washing machine and maybe a downstairs toilet. Sometimes a room with a sink/small shower for pets after a walk.
Deli, really appreciate that you are one of very few Sims RUclipsrs who have custom content but don’t use it every single build. If some of you guys didn’t know, us console players can’t download builds with CC.
Deli talking about split leveling before snowy escape 😅
Hey! Deli will u be uploading this to the gallery? It’s really great!
I don't know if utility rooms are originally American but we definitely have them in some homes in uk.Normally it's where the washing machine and tumble dryer are kept in their as well as cleaning supplies etc.I hope that helps.
A little late to the party but I used to own a house cleaning business that had a few high profile clients. Two of them were neighbors in the Paradise Valley area in Arizona. One had a 8200sq ft home and he was a doctor, the house was crazy. But the neighbor had a 12,500sq ft mansion with 20' tall ceilings. His shower was the size of my living room, and him, and his wife's closets were each bigger than my house. It was insane!
Zillow: the sims equivalent of Raid Shadow Legends
As much as I love your builds Deli, I don't think an hour-long build video is something I can watch. At least not in one sitting😂. I love the in-game walkthroughs tho. Just like the 3D walkthroughs! We get to see the build in a more realistic perspective than the bird's-eyes view.
I am CRAMMING for my exams next week; a Deli build video always gets my mind of things and lets me enjoy a little break. Thank you Deli for your amazing build videos!❤️
Utility room, also known as utility closet is basically the laundry room. Traditionally, the washer and dryer are located in the same room as the water heater and, in rare cases, the air conditioning/furnace unit. It is rare now a days for the “utilities” to be in the same room, but the laundry room is still sometimes called the utility closet.
The fact I heard ALMOST the same intro and add for Zillow 3 times now 👀 Zillow whatcha doing
I love how she says “Zillerrrw” 😂
@Zillow what a BRILLIANT sponsor idea!!!!!!! Pure genius, give whoever thought of this a promotion
We also have something that's called a utility room here in Israel, I believe it's what's called a laundry room in other places? At least that's the purpose of it here. Laundry, dryer, cleaning appliances, the hot water boiler if it's just electric/on gas, etc. Usually it'll have access to outdoor laundry lines, sometimes to the AC outdoor engines hiding place.
deli: I've never heard of anyone ever using a utility room here, I think it's an American thing
me (being American and having no idea what it is): utli-wha?
Edit: also I love your speed builds being 30 minutes!
A utility room is just what we call a laundry room in the UK 😂😂
im from uk and we call it utility room not laundry
checking out Zillow is one of my main hobbies since quarentines lmao
USA here. We always called out laundry room the utility room. In my current house out utility/laundry room has washer, dryer, deep freezer, water dispenser (our tap water tastes nasty), and cleaning supplies. You also have to walk through it to get to our guest bathroom… that part of it isn’t ideal. But what can I say, our home was built in the 70’s… a lot of the decisions they made with the floor plan don’t make much sense to me 😅
Zillow: *You take a sponsorship and you take a sponsorship!*
Please make this build available for download.
I get into the tub when I bathe my husky, so I guess people do. But she has a lot of fur so you have to really wash her. We were taking her to a like doggie salon where you can go it yourself and it’s set up where you pay like a self service car wash. Very handy.
Watching Deli's video while doing my biology homework makes it a lot easier. 💞 Thanks Deli.
I wouldn't be able to concentrate doing my homework while watching stuff, tried it a couple of times but I take forever doing it, get so distracted lol!
1:03 that closet is as big as my room 🥺
My room is a similar width but a bit shorter, than a closet! 😂
Im so confused tho um Deli hearted this comment?! Thank you!!
I wany to do this too but i dont know what is my dream house lol love you💖
Mabey look for some inspo, and gradually write down some features you would want in your home, luxuries, colours and looks (like is it modern, traditional, earthy, industrial) etc. Then when you have a lengthy list you can start making it, keep changing it until you like it and you have yourself a dream home. Hope this helps would love to know what kind of thing you end up with! X ❤😁
Deli you were right in putting the eco items in the Utility room. That is typically where the water heater and furnace and phone and internet enter the home. It is a home mechanical room. Also people will store their cleaning supplies.
Typically in the US a utility room is where the laundry, the water heater, and the furnace is located. Also the guest bathroom usually has a bathtub/ shower combo when there is a house this size. Hopefully that helps.
Hey Deli could you please upload this on the gallery! Thank you so much
