Honestly, the best thing for new builders is to use inspiration photos. There's nothing wrong with finding a photo of a house on google images and trying to recreate it. Once you've done a few you'll have learned a lot of tips about how to make your house look realistic and dynamic.
Another tip I like to do for new builder/gamers is this Get the cheats on (ctrl shift c) Put in testingcheats on put in bb.moveobjects on put in bb.showhiddenobjects put in bb.showliveeditobjects In build/buy mode in the little search box up above the left hand side, type in debug and hit enter. Look for EA's lovely debug builds, grab one you like and position it in the lot. Then start drawing walls following the outline of the build adding windows and doors as you go along but don't connect the last wall just yet if it's a multi level build as it will shift the debug house up. Once done, find the debug house and size it down using the [ or ] keys (can't remember which one it is and use it as a reference :)
@@JOHNSMITH-vx5yz the point is it looks weird because we need some hilly neighbourhoods to make it more realistic You wouldn't live in a flat area and bring in tons of soil on one block only to create hilly terrain. So it looks weird, you know? Like a huge mount out of nowhere

I love basic build tips like this esp I tend to just download other builds from the galleries unfurnished and decorate them instead of creating my own builds from the start 😬😅
I think the best tip I can give on building is not to limit your viewership to only a couple sims RUclipsrs. different simmers have different styles of building and how they approach building that I have learned a lot from. .I used to only really watch deli and james and my builds all resembled theirs. But now I have branched out a lot more and my builds look much more varied and interesting! Loving being able to put skylights in kitchens and bedrooms! Thanks for the extra tips & ideas - I find the terrain tools hard so the tip of putting a roof section is brilliant 👏 😀
I LOVE the idea of the side greenhouse with the roof. An easier way to do that may also be to lower floor in the greenhouse one or two levels so that there is more height to the room . I am going to try this later. Thanks for the tip!

Been playing since sims 1 but this was a nice little refresher of the tools I sometimes forget are even there, I never do basements but now I might give it a try.
I’ve been playing the sims since the original sims came out. With that being said, the last thing you did with the build really inspired me. Thank u for making videos
Been playing Sims since Sims 1, been avoiding building in Sims 4 because my brain just didn't want to accept these changes. You have made things so much simpler to understand. Look forward to diving into your other videos.
I have been loving this starter videos, cuz I’m new to the sims and sometimes the most basic things I don’t know how to do it, particularly building things. Don’t stop. ♥️
