Testing New MEFINE HTV on "Fierce" Shirt, Glitter Tumbler

- The fine folks at MEFINE recently contacted me and asked if I'd like to test out their Heat Transfer Vinyl collection in a video. I said, "Sure!" So that's what I'm doing here by heat pressing layered print vinyl onto a t-shirt and tumbler pressing glitter HTV onto a stainless 20-oz skinny tumbler. The results -- and the vinyl itself -- are wonderful!

Thank you!!! There probably are versions of that tube carton that would hold a tumbler. I’m not sure where to look for packaging like that, but I’d be surprised if it doesn’t exist. And thanks regarding the dance - I actually recorded the footage first then plopped in the music afterward, and was blown away by how perfectly it all synced up. That doesn’t usually work out so well 🤣

I just completed a barrel tumbler and used that exact burst pattern to make my stencils for a wood grain/glitter peekaboo

If you decide to do a black background, use High Heat black spray paint. It’ll handle anything your press will throw at it. It’s available at any big box store. It’s a flat black, but if you cover it with epoxy, you’ll end up with a glossy finish.

Yes I would love to see how it works on a painted tumbler. The carrier sheet looks so extra thick and sticky that I’m not sure if it will work. 🤷♀️ it looked hard to weed.. but the tumbler turned out really nice ❤️
Thanks!! Yeah, the carrier sheet was what had me concerned, because it was super sticky compared with the carrier sheets of regular HTV I've pressed onto spray painted tumblers before. My guess is that to keep the glitter of the glitter HTV on the carrier sheet until it's weeded off, they had to formulate and extra-sticky carrier sheet adhesive. Anyway, it wasn't too hard to weed, plus I could have picked a slightly less intricate design - LOL! I'm working on a different HTV video for Monday, and I picked a *really* detailed design to weed...omg! 🤣🤣

You could do a thin layer of epoxy over black paint before htv.
I've tried that, and the resin cracks. But a high heat spray paint that another viewer suggested is definitely on my list to get now. Thanks!!
If you put a thin layer of a sealant or resin between the paint and the htv I think it would be fine to put it on a black background? Loved this cup! Loved the packaging the most.

Thanks! Yes, I believe the shiny regular white sub tumblers would work fine, but the glow sub tumblers definitely do not work.

Paint it them put an layer of epoxy then put the htv on top of that

I just need to give the spray paint long enough to harden, more than 24 hours. But I didn’t have time to do that when I was working on this video.
If you don’t have a heat press what would be your recommendation to use all I have is a convection oven
For applying HTV, I’ve seen someone get it to work with a heat gun, but I think you might be better off with an iron for the added pressure.

Yes, I did! There’s a layer of resin with some ultrafine glitter added in so the silver areas of the cup sparkle as well as the glitter vinyl. Thank you for watching!
