The Ranchers is an open world country-life sim for 1-4 players. Raise animals, grow crops, craft machines, build your dream house and explore the gigantic open world where mines and dangerous monsters abound. Earn the villagers' respect and esteem. And who knows, maybe find love and start a family.

Hard to decive / doubt with a video like this. Most kickstarters barely show anything and talk a big game. This video shows these developers aren't some novice kids asking to fund an "idea".

This got randomly dropped in my recommended section but honestly I couldn't be happier to see this, it looks great and all the possibilities seem so surreal, I am for sure a bit skeptical of the quantity of things we are able to do in this experience, but from what the team has shown so far, it just looks like a dream project plenty of time in the making, of which I am so excited to try it out when betas/alphas become a thing, I sincerely wish the best for you guys and this project, don't fail on us! Keep working hard on polishing this and making it the best it can be, me and a bunch of other people will be here to support the project, best wishes.

This looks great. If Stardew valley has taught me anything, it's never underestimate a cute little farming sim.
Exactly. Everyone is so skeptical all the time, and I get that makes sense, but at the same time, we've had examples of smaller indie teams putting out some extremely good games. Even better than the big studios, so I'm rooting for this game!

Most Ppl compare this sort of Game with Stardew Valley because that was/is the first big/popular game for PC. Both Harvest Moon and Runefactory are for Nintendo Consols/Handhelds

I hate being sceptical but this looks too good to be true. The driving, Open world, Combat, Horse Riding etc. I just hope to see festivals(or something like it). If this comes out good, It will be AMAZING but then again it's just seems too perfect(For me atleast)

@@theranchers It looks like you have a lot of content set up already. Perhaps a small vertical slice "demo" on your kickstarter is possible? Best wishes for a full completion, I want this one!
All the beautiful 3d rendering on plants and animals, then flat matte polygon vehicles (at least give then metallic surface sheen for trailer). But it is definitely going on watch list.
This trailer brings me back sooo many great memories from my childhood when I was at my uncle's farm, feeding animals, taking care of the garden, detonating ancient statues, mining zerkonites and of course fighting a bigg ass dragon! Can't Wait!

"Okay, another farming type game. Oh, a bit of a sims vibe... so, Stardew valley meets sims. Free open-world driving, and horses, a bit skeptical, but very cool! ... what is that, a temple ruin? What... are we fighting aliens? WAIT, YOU CAN TRAVEL TO HELL?!"

I personally love the variety of gameplay in this game. sorta how minecract can be a simple peaceful farming/building game but also with adventures and action if the player chooses. i love this concept 💛

this is how sims 4 /should/ have been and instead they gave us a half assed unfinished product lol. shouldn't have expected much from ea though.

@@80kokoro Sims 4 is decent when you buy dozens of expansion packs, it was terrible when released, instead of feeling like a bigger/better game than Sims 3, it felt like a huge downgrade, no open world, they didn't even have pools. Still today the only improvement in comparison to Sims3 is barely graphics, cause it's not even that much better, there's nothing new or innovative. For this I love seeing new games with similar concepts but looking alot more innovative and bigger without dozens of paid expansion packs.
Looks like a modern 3D Stardew Valley, farming, mining, fighting strange creatures, building a ingame Community. Looks like great fun!

This looks promising and I love how at first it seemed innocent, then it transitioned to hunting and a boss battle. It showed depth and I hope it delivers! My suggestion for this is to add a “Survival Mode” where you have to eat, drink and sleep. I’m not sure if you can die in this game, maybe pass out like in Stardew Valley? My point is that it would add to the immersion of this life sim and heavily add to the longevity of the game. Also, it would be cool to open your own restaurant and supply it with the crops you grow, having the option to hire staff to manage it. Lastly, I hope you bring mod support to this game. Anyways, great trailer! I’d love to have a developer respond to this comment to receive feedback!

Yes the game do have "survival elements" as the ones you talked about.
Regarding "opening a restaurant..." it's not planned for the first release but definitely something we will consider bringing in future updates 😉

Gosh, as a long time Sims and Animal Crossing + farming games on mobile player, this game is making me so excited! Hope that it'll come to fruition, and will definitely check it out upon its release!

This has a lot of potential to become a great game. With farming sim, it also looks like a mini Sims game, where you can do other stuff. Would love to know if the creators plan to expand on adding schools, universities, and other activities in the game, pertaining to Agricultural Engineering, Farm Finances etc. Even allow the player to run for mayor of the town their farm comes under. Good job so far and good luck Ranchers team!

When I started watching the video, I just thought that it's a game of farming and animals, and the more the video progresses the more I find new things, the city, the sea, the dungeons. .. this is a very ambitious game. The graphics and playability look really really good for a game that's just about to release! If it looks so good rn imagine in a couple of months when the devs add more features and stuff to do, it will be a bangerrr. It's like if Sims, FS and Indiana Jones had a baby. I love it!

This looks awesome!! I was looking for a game like this all last year and never found one that scratched the itch. Sort of like a Sims game but survival oriented. Been looking for mods for The Sims 4 and 3 to get that survival aspect, but it never really felt good or fun to play. So I hope it's gonna be as good as it looks!

This looks amazing so far (if it's gonna be anything like this). But I'm skeptical about the characters. If Story of Seasons taught us anything: give the characters (at least the ones you can marry) portraits or no one will care about them.

If you can pull this off it will for sure become one of the top selling games seen in a while along with a ton of peoples favorite and probably most played game. Ranchers looks like it has pretty much everything you could ask for. Fingers crossed and I'll be keeping my eyes on this one for sure! Very Excited!!!
