omg, what are you all taking, this guy is an excellent teacher, im crap at the guitar, i only just started , but now im playin this song better than i have seen other people play it on here, thanks mate, you have really helped :)
yes- and every time you see the intro is two gtrs. Clapton plays the single note intro and gtr 2(Fairweather Low) plays the descending chords. We all play both parts because unless you are playing with a second guitarist it's obviosly incomplete!
this riff is basically all there is to this song, it is one of those that if you want to show off but you don't want people to think you only know one part is to keep playing it then filling in a random solo
you gotta love the haters, hating a good lesson. if you have the song in your head, this is all you need. he seems like a cool guy, and he's tryin to help you out. i swear, some people are just looking for something to whine about. Are you babies familiar with the term "defense mechinism???" --Thanks Guy
Well its the best Layla lesson I've seen, I love the guys style lol, really. However, the comments below about the missing A are correct, he's cut a couple of corners. He gets you started though.
damn, I remember when that hair style was popular. I even rocked it. Except mine didn't come with a perm. Just a giant fro with some natural curls here and there. But you were supposed to pull it back into a ponytail !
wow dude i swear to god he looks like corey talyor lead singer of slipknot / stone sour... well if he shaved his hair... im serious watch this then watch the music video for snuff by slipknot

These type of lesson are nearly useless because there a Sooo many technical issues that are never discussed!
riff is not quite right, and timing is off.
buy a new haircut
this guy makes it way too fucking hard. he throws in more complexity than it is played. his video is out of sync too.
