It's kinda inconsistent between writers and films, idk anymore I like them to have recoil, makes them seem punchier

@@aussieman4791 Personal headcanon is that lasguns have a setting in them that simulates kickback. Not a strong one obviously but enough so that the guardsman using it actually feels like they're shooting a gun, just to keep moral up.

The one guardsmen had more personality than 90% of other characters in the show. Wish he was the lead instead of a one note sister. The salamander was cool though.

*Lucius Pattern. It is named after the Forgeworld, not the Regiment it is mostly used by.
And this is not one. The Cadian (aka Castreel Pattern) Lasgun got a major redesign with the Update of the Cadian range
