I'd like a whole season showing the battle to regain the city or planet, they could lose the planet for all I care I just want to watch the story unfold. Maybe following a squad that as they get deeper into the city they find more of Sa'kan's group. They might not know the story of the group but we would.
Regarding the zombies, it's all apart of the aptly named Pariah Nexus. There's some written lore on it in some White Dwarf magazines back during the 9th edition launch and such. Really creepy and depressing too, the Imperium really isn't prepared for any of what the Necrons bring to the table during the campaign. Also, during the series, when the Deathmark is hunting the Ultramarine it's been speculated that it's the same Veteran Sergeant from the 9th edition launch video and Danica is the SoB (they share the same scar on their face). Additionally, the Sister's faith and the Ecclesiarchy are actually the only reason the battle continues at all. Early on it's determined that the populations of various planets affected by the Nexus have been 'rendered' down by the Necrons. As the fighting begins, the Imperium holds their ground, even gaining some, before the Astra Militarum regiments start reporting mass blindness and the outbreak of the zombie plague. Only the Space Marines and various religious fanatics and groups are able to resist the nexus' effects; the Space Marines because of who and what they are, the Sisters and various hangers on because of the power of their faith - it acts as a shield for those around them as well. Like I said, it's a great campaign and sticks with just how horrible the Necrons are as enemies. Another excellent campaign worth reading is the FW book, The Fall of Orpheus.
I also was surprised with this depiction. I believe that in the game, sisters of battle have an iron will and unbreakable faith, but here she's just a soldier a tad more zealous than the rest.
Personally, I like to believe the Guardsman is a vision sent by the Emperor. She says things that I don't think even a Guardsman would say or know and I don't believe Sister Danica knew the Guardsman well enough to form some kind of bond for her to hallucinate her. I think the Emperor is trying to save her soul and bring her onto the right path. But that's just my belief

Interesting side note about “turning the other cheek” in historical times in the Middle East. It used to be a challenge to someone of higher status than yourself. Typically they would slap you back handed, if you turned the other cheek, they would have to slap you with the palm - regarding you as equal. If they slapped you with the palm, you could fight back. The West’s translation interpreted this as passive compliance, not rising to someone’s bait and being the bigger person by not fighting.
the story is truly a touch by the black library. They love to have 2 or more plot lines going on parallel. A human perspective in the story, such as the sister; whether she is delusional, or unreliable narrative. Then a glimpse of hope, such as lonely salamander; whether he survives or not XD its better to be open ended. A galactic size asshole running the show, and even he is beaten, it's equivalent to spitting at a person's long casting shadow. It neither inconsequential nor memorable to him.
So sister Danica basically signed the death sentence of those ppl by firing her bolter for no reason and alerting the big ass necron, thus occupieing Sakan and leaving the ppl to go west on their own, which is certain death.

For those who seek perfection, there can be no rest on this side of the grave. May my sword be the mercy of angels, my bolter the deliverer of vengeance. I've been having a real bad morning. Woke up late, had an asthma attack. Recovered, couldn't find my headphones... my wife washed them in the washer. 😢. Thanks for making it a little bit better. ❤
We are really sorry, get better soon!
@@Miron_Marnic all good now. Happens sometimes. Thanks for the positive feedback.
"So be it, bioengineered anomoly" 😂
I check in on 40k animations from time to time. It looks like the quality is starting to reach decent levels. Another year or two and they might make a very memorable series.
hi counterpoint nice timing literally just finished watching the episode big fan btw😁
Yeah Danica would be up on the purging block, she’d be a repentia in 2 seconds if not purged outright if she said this infront of the wrong people, glad she changed her mind 😂 Great episode
I love the episode. I appreciate your comments, among other things because you have military experience, useful experience for understanding 40k. It’s also for this aspect that I appreciate the late Sodaz videos.
9:55 This is why you fight smarter, not harder.
13:05 Into the fires of battle, and unto the anvil of war!!!
That was really really good! Thx to share it with us
Also, love the smirk. 1rnd, 1m, per sec when the salamander returns fire.
18:06 boy: but your hand
Brother Sakan: nothing but a flesh wound
20:19 "why Mr Anderson?why? why do you persist?"-Smith
Praise be the Immortal Emperor.. I always love your take on Warhammer+ shows
Salutes him with 2 hands.. "Yeah you can have a nod, im kinda missing my arm bro."
Happy we are getting more stories about necron characters besides Trayzen. Hope the series continues and does this with some of the other factions
I like when the Necron and Space marine argue. Both of them are like "I hate you because you are beneath me and I don't owe you any answers, but I'm gonna answer anyway."
Recently found your channel and I find your content to be quite enjoyable. Subscribed. Also, the opening cinematic between the Lamenter Space Marine (I think) and the Orc warriors, what movie is that from?
Like the channel! Can you handle some positive critiic? I am glad your sound isnt crap anymore! Probably has a touch more room to improve, louder is usually better since I watch on ipads usually. I love the Warhammer videos, but I feel as though you are going through a dryspell and may want to branch out into some other anime since GW doesnt have anything new coming out that I know of. Anyways keep doing what your doing!
Imagine a whole series like this one 🤯🤯🤯
Sees the necrons HUD detected brainwaves instead of any other vital is interesting
This is peak Warhammer content 👌
Well shoot. I'll have to comment for Hawkins & Co.
“This galaxy is ours.”
Then the point of view as he brings the chain sword down. Nice little throw back to Dawn of War Dark Crusade and Dawn of War 2
The part where Sakahn decides that he will choose to fight and possibly make the rest live is a smart idea for the show. 12:55
The Necrons are suprisingly good with the dry humor.
Just got home from a 10 hour shift I got me a pizza and soda this a nice gift to add on to keep posting!!
So sister Danica basically signed the death sentence of those ppl by firing her bolter for no reason and alerting the big ass necron, thus occupieing Sakan and leaving the ppl to go west on their own, which is certain death.
Ultraboys being a great support even in death
The guards woman is a mental projection. That wild!
Just a BTW. I can't remember which exact video, but you were disappointed by the lack of swordplay and general tactics of an episode of Hammer and Bolter, i believe it was "A matter of faith" To simplify what you said for the future: HEMA is what you're talking about. "Historical European Martial Arts" :)
"I hunted dragons on my youth boy" would that be Tyranids?
No they have drakes/dragons on Nocturne
@@Counterpoints well remembered
Salamanders in all glory, im so happy that ever can see my green boys shine
Thanks so much for posting these ! As I dont want to pay for them and Im more then happy to wait. 18:47 You think he would of picked up Sisters bolter or something lol. Just grabs his knife lol.
The Salamanders are something else. Wow...just wow!!! 😮😮😮
Not really into your political stuff, but I am starting to get into wh40k and enjoy what you add to that. Very well done.
hawkinscoleather I have loved these animations especially because they have added the new guard look
"Blessed is the mind too small for doubt. We chosen may be few, and our enemies many. Yet so long as there remains one of us still fighting, one who still deploys in the name of justice and truth, then by the Emperor, the galaxy shall yet know hope, and see the fires of holy retribution through his eyes. For those who seek perfection, there can be no rest on this side of the grave. May my sword be the mercy of angels, my bolter the deliverer of vengeance. Praise to the Imperium, Praise to the Emperor!"
Was waiting for this video, glad its here!
Is there a video you talked about the orgyns? If not would like to see a review or in depth talk about it. Good work 👍
THank you once again for the break down. =) Always love your takes
oh hell yeah, thanks connor.
is it Connar or Connor?
Bästa du är .... Du är bra helhjärtat begåvad i detta du gör .
Don't you hate it when your doing you're job and your boss just keeps breathing down you're neck.
I wish the episodes had more units involved in the story. Maybe flashbacks to the Ultra Smerfs squads fighting the Cron.
I really enjoyed this episode, it added depth and character to the Space Marines through Shakhan, by the way counterpoints The Salamanders remind me of The Dragon Clan from Legend of the Five Rings.😊
It is such a fresh start to see the salamanders get some real action.
