If you listen throughout the video, you can clearly hear it clipping quite badly. @ 0:50 on _"receiver"_ 1:15 _"very lightweight"_ 1:17 _"3.5"_ 1:32 _"lock and unlock"_ and so on, distorts on the high end. That's either because it is over-driving (adjustable??), or just poor audio processing design.
I grabbed a set nearly as soon as they were announced - and I love the sound quality. However, the clips on the mics are not very strong - I had hoped to use them while biking, but the clips don't stay connected to my shirt, or to the helmet strap. I can confirm that they're robust enough (or lightweight enough) to take a fall onto the ground without disrupting the internals. I finally had to clip them to a backpack strap to get any sort of staying power. Note, too, that all the product images show the clips doubling as cold shoe mounts. This is doable, but it takes an extra step - there are foam stickers in the kit that create the extra space needed to hold the transmitter or mic in securely.
I just got mine a few weeks ago to use with my GoPro 12. It’s an excellent device. I paid $79 during their initial launch sale. Can’t beat it at that price.
@@Ninjadom …. No complaints. I have my receiver plugged into my Media Mod and connect my transmitter clipped inside my motorcycle helmet using Bluetooth. Crystal clear. I have some sample video footage that I will post today or tomorrow.
Does the clip on the receiver clip securely onto the cold shoe mount on the GoPro Media Mod? Do you connect the audio output from the receiver to the 3.5mm jack on the Media Mod.
@@tonynancarrow5346 … it slides in perfectly, but to be honest, I would prefer it slightly tighter when riding motorcycles. When riding my Harley and testing the device, mine shook loose of the cold shoe and it was saved by the 3.5mm which acted as a tether in that case. thank God!. Caveat….. my Harley’s nickname is “The Boneshaker” for good reason. She’s an old school Harley so I wasn’t surprised in this case. I haven’t had an issue on the silky smooth GoldWing however, in any case, I now secure receiver with a rubber band wrapped around it just in case. And yes, I connect the receiver to the Media Mod with the 3.5mm jack. The Ulanzi system comes with a number of different cables for various uses.
I'm really happy with my basic wireless mic set from Ulanzi, so if i ever decide I need something a little more feature rich, I already know what I'm picking up.
I just unboxed mine and honestly I like everything accept for the fact that I don’t think you can mount the receiver facing forward so if you have a tripod set up facing you, you’ll have to get up and walk around the camera to check everything. Like you can’t just turn your head and make sure everything’s good. I guess they added those lights on the transmitter but idk, I like being able to see the screen on the receiver without getting up and walking behind camera.
As a guy with 3D printer I totally see no problem here :D I mean just simple hotshoe mount with a level to attach the receiver any way around you want, would be super easy to to design and print or build with some other hotshoe stuff on market.
Sounds really good and ticks most of the boxes. I have a Fulaim X5 which sounds like a direct competitor at a similar price. I particularly appreciate that you use the Ulanzi from the word go. Too many reviewers leave the sound demo right to the end. Really annoying.
I pre-ordered as soon as it was announced but I don't think mine come in for a couple more weeks. Hoping the $300 I saved vs the Rode Wireless Pro doesnt sacrifice the quality.
This would be a great setup if they'd just get ride of the big nasty silver top piece. It's a clip-on mic Ulanzi! They're supposed to be low key so they don't attract attention. Make it all black and I'll buy a set TODAY!

Very nice!! Any negatives using them with the GoPro 12?

I was unable to undersand where you place the transmiter when using the phone

Can it connect via Bluetooth to an enabled camera?
If I didn't have already dual wireless mics I for sure would buy these.. They look ams sound amazing..
Nice démo 👌 could you tell us the settings about the level entry on the cam, on the mic ?
3:12 what mic did u plug into it? Or which would you recommend?
Great video! I just found your channel today and loved it! Does this work with the go pro 12?
Can the 2 microphones be recorded separately on the L and R channels or are they automatically mixed in a single channel?

🤙🏼 *For the price this is easily one of the cleanest audio I've heard* 🤙🏼
Will it work with GoPro hero 10 and media mod? 😁
what's better? Godox virso M2 or Ulanzi am18?)
When using on iPhone 14 my mic creates a lot of static background sound. Can I fix it?
You never disappoint, great job!

Ever since I bought that shirt at Target a month ago, I see it being worn everywhere.
Looks like a awesome alternative to the DJI or Rode or even a back up for lets say... travelling around Australia! 🤙🏽
Where did you get your from? Can't find them on Amazon.. Was hoping to pick them up during the Amazon Prime Day sales!!
Will they work with DJI action 3 camera?
Does anyone know if the mic (transmitter) will connect/pair directly to the new Insta360 X4 or Ace Pro?
Does it work with the 360 X3?
Can you link Bluetooth headphones to it ? Or use headphones ?
there is a headphone monitor option on the receiver, you could get a 3.5mm adapter to bluetooth for wireless headphones

Cupon Code is not working in Amazon
i think the coupon code is only valid at the ulanzi store website
🇧🇷 Obrigada pelas dicas. Estou aguardando o meu chegar ❤
Olá, comprou por onde e qual o valor? Por gentileza
Comprei na loja da Ulanzi do aliexpress na pré-venda , dei sorte de não ser taxada. Paguei R$ 480 @@todd.cin3
Is the Ulanzi AM18 compatible with the ACTION 4?
yes it is!
yes,use the Ulanzi cold shoe adapter OA19
Perfect ❤
The problem with wireless mic systems is they all look ridiculous. Reminds me of the old beeper/pagers hanging off of your shirt.
Nice
💯‼️💙
