- In this video I (Brittani) share from the wife's perspective how I walked through this struggle with my husband and with help from the Lord. In life, we don't always get to choose what happens to us but we DO get to choose how we respond. Watch to hear how the Lord helped me through this and helped me support my husband in his journey to freedom.

Thank you both for being so vulnerable and open with us. The LORD is using you both to speak up about issues the church (as in, the body of Christ) has swept under the rug. These are real issues any marriage can go through.

This was absolutely incredible. The moment at around the 16 minute mark I just started crying. Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you both but OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN. Abstinence doesn’t work it just makes you crave the addiction more. The root of the problem needs to be dealt with. When the lord told your wife to look and love you with the heart and eyes of JESUS. God Bless You guys mightily and God Bless everybody else. One last note. As you said brother the consequences are real. I lost my marriage because of the struggle of lust. Please if you’re out there tonight and your dealing with this cry out to God right now before it is too late. My ex wife never gave me another chance for reconciliation. Sorry for the long comment. All things work for good to those that are in CHRIST JESUS. This is THE GOD THAT I SERVE.

I posted a few weeks back about finding you guys and how this is a tough season for me since my husband left us suddenly. I wanted to ask you guys if you'd pray for him. His name is Greg. He once loved the Lord but rejected his faith in 2013 shortly after starting grad school at WVU. We recently settled on Arkansas with our two sweet, amazing kiddos (6 yr old Nathan and 6 mo. old Natalie). Aside from faith differences, we had the perfect life here for 2 years. I'm praying for the Holy Spirit to fall upon him and for God cleanse him of all his impurities, that he'd be washed by the Word that is being prayed over him and that he would be clothed in righteousness by the mercy and grace of God. I am praying for a supernatural encounter with Jesus. He recently, and angrily, said he'd be happy if he never set foot in a church again. It's hard because our son, Nathan, keeps wanting to tell my husband about God and Jesus and it only pushes my husband away. Please, if you get time, Pray in agreement for our situation. I'm declaring my marriage and my family saved by God's grace, but I see my husband being pulled further into the darkness as he is now, what appears to be, involved with someone else. I feel strongly that God is calling me to stand for my marriage, however and pray for his soul, as I hadn't done that before. Before I just wanted him to be what I wanted him to be.... And now I just want him to know the Grace of thr Father.

I love that you've shared both sides of this issue in marriage. As a single young women, it is not common to hear couples talk about this in Christian community. Thank you both for your feedback! We are both very passionate for the Lord and we just express it differently, (he is naturally more outgoing and I’m more introverted). We embrace each other even in our differences. It’s one thing I love about my husband. We will work on not talking at the same time at certain points going forward. I'm not pushing back...it's just that to me it comes across as passion! Someone grateful to God for freedom and a desire to see others set free as well. It's 26 YEARS he said he was held in bondage was it? This generation needs his "realness". Their marriage relationship is inspiring! Love and blessings to all!

Hey guys, im also engaged and we have/had the same issues, i just wanna thank you for your testimonies (have also seen part 1) finally I understood and saw the part with the baptism from another perspective! Thank you Abba Father for the grace you fill us with. I know that my marriage has needed its fair share of grace, but without it we would be nothing. If grace isn't offered, honesty is unlikely. Without bringing these struggles to the light with honesty, there is no moving forward. We are strongest when braided together in His union so wisely designed.

This is a really great video. Your husbands WILLINGNESS, TRANSPARENCY and ACCOUNTABILITY through all this was pivotal in the mending of your marriage. Many marriages struggle or even fail because of the lack of these things when Trust is broken. I really enjoyed this video!

This was a good video however dave I was wanting to hear your wife since this video was supposed to be how she felt through this all. You kinda took over for her. I listened to your side in first video of your side of it. I give your wife my respect for just being quiet in respect for you even though you totally took over what was supposed to be her side. I love you both and you agree with you in the good fight of faith. You both are my brother and sister in christ and love you both.

How do you suggest to deal with the struggle that comes after the pornography has stopped, but the struggle now is to not look on women who cross his path and have lustful thoughts? There are always going to be attractive women, and it seems more so, because the devil knows his struggle..they are placed strategically in his sight. He struggles to not have lustful thoughts, but if he does, he hides it from me as to not hurt my feelings. I have been very emotional about all of the hurt that comes with feeling cheated on and betrayed by porn in the past and still struggle feeling good enough.
This is Dave speaking. My heart goes out to you sis and we are praying for you and your husband. In the past it was painful to admit that I had lust in my heart even if I never acted on it. These disgusting thoughts compelled me towards Jesus, as I sought His help. By the power of the Spirit, God has greatly reduced the frequency with which such thoughts entire my mind. By His grace, intentional time with Jesus in the secret place, saturating myself in His word, worship, and His presence, have resulted in those thoughts being very uncommon. As Paul says, God helps me keep my mind constantly on "whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy." I promise you that God's grace is sufficiently powerful to transform the very mind of your Husband.
That being said, I would concentrate on your identity in Christ. As a daughter of the most High, He adores you and loves you. You are his workmanship and he is satisfied by the work of His son in you. You are enough in Christ. Don't be afraid to invite Jesus into the middle of your pain and betrayal. His perfect presence will provide you a comfort that is beyond description and healing will happen.
There's so much more we could say but we are confident that Holy Spirit will continue to reveal more things to you and be your stronghold in all times of struggle and success.

@@TheMendrygals thank you so much for your response; I so appreciate it! I pray this will be so in my husband's life too. He definitely seeks the Father and tries hard to do the right thing, and I am seeking Godly counsel to help deal with my past trauma, also trusting the Holy Spirit to do a work in me so that I don't have to be on guard wondering what he is doing all the time. I want to be able to trust him. I do love him and want what's good for our marriage. Thank you again for responding.
He's a passionate man that might have missed out on the best woman God had for him! I admire the wife's obedience to Jesus. In all honesty, it's because she is reflecting Jesus that gives him the courage to follow Jesus's example. It is all at the root of our hearts to be about our Father's business. In a world that encourages SELFISHNESS, this is needed! Like many believers, I struggle with lust in the sense I don't have the confidence to show men I'm attracted to who I am in Christ. So it's easy for me to overlook red flags and give myself away emotionally and physically because it's how I associate not only to be wanted, but to mask the pain of sexual brokenness. The relationships crash and burn... and I do have to repent because I could have showed them Christ.
I understand why accountability with your wife has to be TOP PRIORITY. I understand you are one with your wife so SHE needs to know EVERYTHING. It all makes biblical sense. What if you’re not married. What if you’re dating and have this struggle? What if your girlfriend is your accountability partner? Should she be? Should she know how I’m doing? How I’m progressing? I see videos of people in marriage dealing with this but never while dating so I’m just curious how your dating experience was? I’ve been dating my girlfriend for 4 years and we can see ourselves getting married. We set up A LOT of boundaries. And thanks to Jesus we have been really good about remaining pure between me and her. Unfortunately, it’s a struggle for me to remain pure. I’ve never written a comment before. I’m just curious if I’ll hear back and what I’ll hear back. 🙏🏼✌🏼🤙🏼
Please pray for me and my fiance. We are 5 months out from our wedding and there is still a struggle with lust and pornography with my fiance.
I see where they are coming from but at the same time as my mens purity group learned we need same sex accountability groups as not all women aka most can't handle certain things which i can understand cause women don't usually let things go even if you've been sober for awhile. It's a discerning thing. Case by case. Yes be honest but also don't burden the other person etc. Love the videos and insightful as I'm still single.
I just came across your channel and I find you guys so fascinating. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone like you guys before. I can’t relate to most of what you guys talk about but I think that makes your videos even more interesting to me. I could care less if my husband watched porn. It doesn’t hurt my feelings in the least. Him watching porn every month or two has never caused any issues in our marriage.

I have had to consider that OCD could be a factor in the intense grip intrusive thoughts have had on my mind.
I think it is good to talk about these things, because the Holy Spirit sheds light on these difficult areas.
I must say that God does seem to be revealing to you two a level of love that frankly, few people are experiencing and learning about. May you only continue to grow in the things of God and increase in Grace, and may your future shares help us in our walk as well.
Re satanic attacks about Brittany going to reject you, Satan has given me similar thoughts of rejection about crazy thoughts that have come into my mind. I think Satan likes to cast filthy thoughts and images in our minds and then make us condemned and afraid of rejection.
