    Hey Hey Chaps! What you buy the G14??
    Just a quick clarification, while AMD's FSR does rival Nvidia's DLSS upscaling tech - it doesn't utilise AI in the same way, and aren't like-for-like technologies.

    Can't wait for other ryzen 6000 laptops. I think base version of zephyrus g14, with 6800hs and less powerful dedicated GPU would be great; better price (the top of the line price is outrageous), less heat, more battery life, yet still enough for 1080p gaming.

    Great Video! Only one comment, the Rx6800s is actually between a 3070 and a 3080 in terms of performance. Slightly slower or equal than a 3070 ti (The two of them with the same wattage, 105 w) Obviously, if you would compare it to a 140 w 3070 in a thick and almost unportable laptop it will be indeed better. But a 140 w 3070 can also be better than the 3080 in the Blade 14, so it isn’t fair to say it is worse than that gpu, as it comes down to the Tdp and the form factor.

Even tho its a laptop, it can still do DLSS and Ray tracing, tho rt is limited because it is only 6GB VRAM, DLSS is amazing on this thing. My favourite part is that it pretty incognito about it as well. No disco show in class, no flashy colors, just a solid, single color build.
      Cons, no camera so I had to get an external usb one, track pad is a bit small but it works and I have a mouse most of the time. So are you told by Asus and/or AMD regarding the USB-C firmware upgrade to USB4? Or just social media rumours? Tbh the ONLY drawback of this device right now is the lack of USB4 even though AMD was so proud of including it, during the Zen3+ announcement...

    • @X1NG
      @X1NG 2 года назад +5

      It's unclear if it will support TB3 and PCIe, since it is "optional" in the USB4 spec (as many things are "optional" in USB4, sadly). So while it will be upgraded to USB4, there's no clear announcement on what specific optional features of USB4 will be supported.

    storage is a lot faster but you need to buy another nvme drive that is faster than the stock one, also you wont need to wait for game developers to implement FSR because AMD will enable it in all/most games via universal driver update, you just need amd gpu inside the laptop/pc.

    MUX switch isn't there for battery life... its there for GPU performance so you have the option of having the GPU directly running the screen, instead of only caring about battery life like earlier models.
    DLSS and FSR are very different techs. AMD has nothing yet that does what DLSS does... FSR is more like NIS, even though tons of outlets kept repeating like you do that its a competitor to DLSS.
