They should have either let us adjust those voltages and fan curves in the normal profile or allow us to automatically switch to this profile when the system is connected to AC power. Instead of always having to manually select this Manual profile in Armoury Crate.

Have to agree, for example "Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun": With 90/30 , Game stutters and has huge Framedrops, meanwhile Temperatures stays almost the same (91°C instead of 92°C). It's still a Gaming-Laptop, they are supposed to run hot and clocks down if necessary...
The specs are slightly different from the g14, but I was swayed by the choice between the g15 and strixg15, which have almost the same specs. The g15 or g14 sacrifices cooling for being slimmer and lighter. You can lower the fan and temperature by setting, but it's a pity that it limits the performance. The strix is bigger and heavier, but the same cpugpu definitely keeps the cooling and performance high. Do you think the strix wins when laptops are stationary rather than portable? Perhaps even with the cooler pedestal, the bare strix is more comfortable.
Which one you prefer between the strixg15 or g15/g14? I really like the minimalist look of g14/15 but if its too hot i dont think its worth it, compare to the strix series that has thicker chassis but better cooling
Thanks for the video. i did turn off the cpu turbo and i had to enable it through reg key . This should be in armory crate since the laptop runs so hot .

It would only harm the hardware if you run the sliders higher than their defaults. The APU sPPT slider is for how much power (in Watts) just the Ryzen 9 CPU including integrated graphics is allowed to use. Platform sPPT adjusts the power (in Watts) that both the Ryzen 9 CPU and the RX 6700s GPU are allowed to use combined. It’s not great, it can sometimes cause your cpu to idle pretty high and it can cost you precious battery life but unfortunately most if not all of ASUS’s laptops are completely built around Armory Crate and you’ll lose a ton of functionality by uninstalling it such as properly adjusting power modes/fan modes, hot keys, lighting, and in my experience the way the cpu and gpu boost without armory crate is very odd and the system overall just seems a bit less stable. So all in all I think if your on a laptop you’re better off keeping it, if you’re on the desktop side however there are better alternatives for pretty much every function on the version of armory crater for ASUS’s desktop motherboards.

Armoury Crate for some reason has a bug that when opened it will significantly raise your temps for some reason so that could be what you’re seeing. Although I would suggest just running on silent while not playing games or doing anything super resource intensive.

Change your turbo power plan if you dont want to switch power pland esch time you apply a manual setting. Turn off turbo boosting in registry ( look it up ) and disable it in the turbo power plan, also set your cpu max to 90-95%.
You don’t have to buy maybe slightly higher if you just want a bit more performance, the lower you put it with equate to running cooler and less performance, the higher you put it causes more heat and more performance, my settings in this video is just a bit of a sweet spot
Not him but I have the laptop for almost 6 months now. Max cpu temp is 93°C for demanding games. QC issues wise it used to self restart a lot but ever since I did a few tweaks it stopped completely. One time I couldnt connect to the wifi at all and apparently it's an issue with their wifi chip (?). A hard reset fixed it and fortunately it's been running fine ever since
Hey bro! In the Armoury Crate app I have an adittional 3 things that can be changed when I go to the GPU setting: one for GPU Clock Offset, one for Memory Clocl Offset and one for GPU Power Saver. Can you help me set those up aswell?
I would keep the clock and memory the same for the most part and turn down the gpu power saver just a little bit like -20% or so, you can play around with it maybe turn it down a tiny bit more to get a bit lower temps but you’ll lose more performance the more you turn it down

@@N3XTGENTECH what are your temps at idle? After installing ghelper, mine are high 40's to low 50's and I'm wondering if that's normal.
@@hexagondun mine are about the same, maybe just a little higher but I’d say that’s pretty normal
@@N3XTGENTECH I do have the same problem whenever I play forza horizon 5 and turbo mode the cpu temperature get high to 91,85 but when I put silent mode it’s goes down to 75,80 is there anything that I can do?
@@hexagondun Hey hello there! I need help.. I just bought g14 2022, after setting up the whole thing fresh out of the box my idle temp is 76ish & that is in silent mode already.. Any suggestion?
Hello, is animatrix feature add weight and height to the laptop vs g14 without this feature?
The model I have doesn’t have the animetrix feature but I know for a fact it won’t add any height and will add an honestly negligible amount of weight
big help - good work!
hey i have applied this settings today and also have set the power parameters settings to 2. after applying it there is a heavy fan sound .. any way to fix it?
You have to go in and lower you fan curves on armory crate
@@N3XTGENTECHcan u show the fan curves to make fan have lower sound?

with the power plan setting, would i have to switch the settings for all the other modes or do i just do it for turbo?
Change your turbo power plan if you dont want to switch power pland esch time you apply a manual setting. Turn off turbo boosting in registry ( look it up ) and disable it in the turbo power plan, also set your cpu max to 90-95%.
How comes I can't even play Overwatch 2 because it's too laggy on my 2022. 😢
turned off cpu boost lower 10c than adjust the cpu and gpu slider I got another 10c off. Its running cool 70s in diablo4 now. No performance hit.
This works good for gaming?
Good review !
Should we set a higher wattage if we have the 6800s version?
You don’t have to buy maybe slightly higher if you just want a bit more performance, the lower you put it with equate to running cooler and less performance, the higher you put it causes more heat and more performance, my settings in this video is just a bit of a sweet spot
does the disabled boost work with all profiles or is it just working when you use the Profile "windows"?
It goes with whatever profile you have enabled at the time of changing the setting and it should stick to only that profile
Did you experience any quality control issues with this machine? and what are your temps? im looking to buy this soon while its on sale Thanks
A hard reset fixed it and fortunately it's been running fine ever since
I guess they updated the Software and the settings where you can change the APU wattage disappeared wtf..
Working also with the 2021 one?
Hey bro! In the Armoury Crate app I have an adittional 3 things that can be changed when I go to the GPU setting: one for GPU Clock Offset, one for Memory Clocl Offset and one for GPU Power Saver. Can you help me set those up aswell?
I would keep the clock and memory the same for the most part and turn down the gpu power saver just a little bit like -20% or so, you can play around with it maybe turn it down a tiny bit more to get a bit lower temps but you’ll lose more performance the more you turn it down
If I lowered all my settings like next to low even GPU in armory on Asus G14 it won't break my laptop right ?
The heat is unbearable
Again fck gr8 info in simple short video 👌
Does this works for 2021 model?
Yes
hey have you looked at how much performance and temps are impacted by disabling the boosting at the end?
good question. can we get an answer
the cpu is too much powered for many game. maybe downclock it a bit ?
🔥🔥
