    How grown up your littlest daughter has become all of a sudden! Her sweet smile and glistening eyes when she looked at you lovingly and said she was helping you melted my heart and shows she is proud and happy to help her Momma. A beautiful moment for sure.
    That is a lot of canning! Glad you have had a good harvest from your gardens and still bringing in more. The aroma of the peaches cooking down would have had me there with my begging bowl hoping for a taste of that sweet jelly! I'd probably be mooching for some delicious celery soup too, to be honest! 😂
    Good to see little Misters baby bump is getting bigger and you looking so radiant. I've been praying for your back discomfort and allergies to ease off and continue to pray for all your family and the baby. ❤️🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

    You have amazing helpers - some young adults who are very helpful. You did a great job in training them I was thinking that there was a time when your children were all younger and you didn’t have the older ones to help. It must have been very different. My children helped as well. I’m very much a homemaker, but as much as my children helped me when they were younger, my girls, though very girlie, didn’t grow up to have as much interest in home making as me. And my son and son-in-law, very much tough men, are the ones who enjoy cooking.

    • @mommabear2many

    I agree about the potatoes, we also fry our canned potatoes, bake in the oven and of course put in soup and stews God to bless
    Oh I also like to put a clove a garlic and a pepper in my dill pickles
    Also you can put peaches in boiling water for a minute like you do tomatoes put in cold water and the skin will come off easy

    • @mommabear2many
      @mommabear2many  20 дней назад

      Yes if I was just canning peaches I would do this. But these were super small so I was trying to make the best use of what we have.

    I’m not making fun. I got a little chuckle at your expense, though. At 5:23 I thought you said that you are going to make yourself some more ‘rum’ - but the word you meant was ‘room’ as rhymes with broom. LOL! Well, did you make yourself some more rum? 😃 That’s ok. Here in Minnesota we have our own accent going. Ya sure! You betcha! 😆
    At the end you said room as in broom so my ears must have heard wrong earlier but I still chuckle about that rum.

    My favorite pickles are beetroot and onions. My children love dill pickles. I made loads last year and none this year as the cucumber plants didn't grow or were chomped on, thankfully I have plenty left on the shelves x

      My husband prefers dulls as well. It kind of funny because bread and butter and dill have almost the same sugar but bread and butter taste sweet and dulls don’t so odd.

    Hi I'm new to your channel and I admire you for choosing life lifestyle AMEN! I am also new to canning and I'm wondering what do your potatoes taste like after canning? I know that you may not have showed all the steps for the sake of editing etc. Do potatoes taste starchy or do they stick together like glue? Can you give us an idea how they taste or maybe some tips on what to do to prevent potatoes sticking together? I've seen the dry canning method and Im just wondering 🤔 thanks for sharing and hopefully I'll see you in the next video Blessings!

    • @mommabear2many
      @mommabear2many  5 дней назад

      So the potatoes canned like this are good as fried potatoes or in soups. Yea they get a bit starchy I just give a quick rinse if needed. For soup I don’t bother as it will thicken the stew slightly but for fried potatoes I do. They do hold their shape and taste lovely. But not good for mashed they tend to be gummy. I hope that explains it lol not my best attribute describing things but I hope this helps a bit.

    People don’t know how scary it can be to have a type 1 diabetic child, it is so tricky to keep blood sugar consistent, especially at the beginning when starting with insulin. You bring it all back to me. My child is an older adult now and he is an expert.
