    Goats Milk Soap Ingredients
    39 oz frozen goats milk
    18 oz lye
    34 oz lard
    36 oz coconut oil
    2oz castor oil
    45 oz olive oil

    Thank you! This was very informative. I may try this but I would cut recipe in half as there is just my husband and myself, we are empty nesters!

    You typically cannot get household soaps and such with food stamps, but you can buy baking soda, vinegar, and lower the cost of homemade soap. Just sharing for those whom need to be extra frugal with their cash budgets.

      @@PinkPink-kn5gy I know it’s sad we donate soap to our food pantry often because things like toilet paper and soap are important but rarely donated.

    Love how you teach your children survival skills. You are setting your children up for success in life. You can have all of the book smarts and certificates and a collage education you like but if push comes to shove, survival skills are what is needed.

    I love making pretty soaps....I taught my neices when they were young how to make soaps,lip gloss,lipsticks,candles ....we had so much fun making and wrapping all these gifts for their girlfriends....

    Love your video on soap making and the canningIi like how the kids help withe the chores and canning. They do really well . I will be 74 next month and we can't do all that now.but if I was younger I would do all that stuff .Thanks for. Showing us all the things takes to make for the year.       @@debrabyler3599 most grocery stores and Walmart sell goats milk. I have another recipe but haven’t video that yet

    There’s a local soap making shop in town and she also made breast milk soap for her daughter when her some had severe eczema as a baby and cleared it right up!

      I soaked my baby in his bathtub with warm water and my milk. He broke out in a rash and they started cracking. It really helped him.

    I heard that you can use ground up peach pits in soap for scrubbing - we called it garage soap (after you worked on cars and had greasy oily dirty hands). Sort of like Lava brand soap.

    Thanks for showing us how you make goats milk soap. I use one o.m nce in awhile called Zum bar( sea salt).I used another kind yrs ago called Chevitz,or something. It's made by naturalists from Vermont. They have all sents.I pay 4.79 a bar& use once in awhile as a treat. It smells like the sea.& feals so good.😊

    My goal is to make our own goats milk soap. I’m looking forward to seeing the shampoo bar. We all have eczema and my youngest doesn’t do well with oils so I generally buy unscented.

      We started out unscented it still give a wonderful clean smell. Gluten and soap both impacted our families eczema. Mine was all gone but now I’ve been eating some bread again it’s starting to come back. But it really depends on the person. But that’s why I started soap making in the beginning.

      Yes some of us use this bar for shampoo others use a shampoo bar. I just got my other ingredient to make the shampoo bars. So we will sneak some time to make those into our canning time soon!

      I agree even in public restrooms sometimes some people will get a rash because they are not used to the chemicals.

    I used to belong yo young living and have used them in soap. I now get them through revive. I see no difference except the price is way cheaper

      Essential oils. Fragrances are more smelly but are filled with chemicals. Essential oil has a light scent made from pressed plants or flowers.

      For us and our family we cannot have the chemicals in commercial soap. We do it for health but wanted to give people the price for each bar in case they are considering.

    I love soap but hubby is not allowed to use soap unless he uses a new bar each time. His doctor said bacteria can be introduced into his dialysis tube as bacteria grows on the soap from your skin. All bar soap has bacteria on it. We cannot even buy refillable containers.

      Could you make small bars? Maybe won’t work but just a thought they make all size silicone molds.
