This is a very helpful and through overview. Thanks!
I am thinking of starting with some photography and when I am searching for videos yours comes up, which has the same vehicle as I have! Thanks for the video! Awesome rig btw
Great video!!!!!
Will be trying out a few of those styles soon, like the brush technique
Just recently got a used Sony DSLR and Lightroom. This is a great starter tutorial and its nice watching a video on the actual hobby I like shooting.
loved the video and learned some things as well.... i have been a photographer since the 1970's..... when i was a photojournalist my main camera was a Minolta sr101 a yashica double lens reflex as back up.... even though i have been doing this a long time by watching others i learn new ideas and short cuts the day you know everything is the day they bury you .....keep up the great work
That’s awesome! Do you have a website with your photos? I agree with your sentiments! Cheers.
one site is hgrphotosbygary.shutterfly.com and facebook.com/HGRphotographyaz/ both sites have photos of motorcycle and car event around mesa az i am just now putting photos into the sites
I'm sure I saw Jade out there on the beach. This was helpful... Thanks
thanks for a great, very much instructive and simple video , 🤙 I enjoyed it
Sharp Video, it helped me a lot.Thank you.
Nice man! It's been years since I've had photography and digital photography classes and now that I'm getting back into it this was a great crash course!
Very useful info for photography in general. Thank you!
That was extremely helpful Michael! Thanks so much.
Excellent video for someone like me with little to no experience creating video content or improving photos with apps. Great job. thanks
Nice, fun to see other people’s style. I’m looking forward to the Baja videos.
Great video on light room. I've been doing photography as a hobby for several years and edit similar to your style. I did learn about the curve in this video which I've never played with. I'll have to try it. Thanks!
Thanks for the tips, mate! Will start using them asap!
That was great. Always did that in PS even though I have LR. That gives me a good place to start experimenting in LR.
Well crap, there goes another $150.. GREAT video!
Too cool Michael. Thanks man.
This was amazing !!!!
What a great video. Thank you for taking the time to do this tutorial with so much detail. Learned quite a bit. SUBBED!
Great!
Welcome!
Excellent tips...thanks!
Nice. Thanks for the tips.
Awesome! Thanks!
I sure appreciate the effort you put into your videos! Thanks so much!
You bet!
Great video.
Thanks for the video. I still have a ton of photos and stuff to work on. May just pick up this software!
Great info, Thanks !
Very Cool...Great Video.
Nicely done!

Coming soon!
Excellent explanation!
Awesome vid man 👍👍👍👍
Phenomenal
Awesome
can't wait for your baja trip videos
Coming up soon!
I've been a photographer for many years. I though, oh boy, this outta be good. But you did a great job!
Thanks!
Great informative video
Very good vid.
This is a most excellent video!
Thanks!
Tutorial was nice. What type of PC/Laptop are you using?
Do you have any videos on video editing and what programs to use?
Sweet video! I’m going to have to ditch my phone and steal my wife’s Nikon for our next off-road adventure!
Great video, don't forget mobile Lightroom CC for those that only use phone cameras. Its a great resource for those quick and dirty edits.
Lightroom is so cool!
Boom!
Great great video!!
Thanks!
It's definitely crazy how much just a simple edit can make to a photo. Even if you can't afford to use Lightroom, there's a ton of great free editing softwares out of there. Hell, even the photo editor in Instagram is pretty alright if you don't want to bother with trying to find an editor.
Great tutorial. I just bought a Canon DSLR camera to take my photography to the next level, ypur video is very timely.
Perfect!
Great video!
Thanks! Hope it’s helpful!
This really blew my mind. I need to find a tutorial like this for gimp. Do you know if that's possible?
Very simple and to the point. Easy to understand video. Nice job! Could you do a similar video on "how to" regarding video editing? Thank you! Denny/DENVER CO.
Awesome! Glad to hear it! I could! I can think of a few tips to make editing faster! I’ll keep it in mind for the future! Thanks for watching!
I'm good with LR, but I'd like to see more of how to do videos with Premier. And how you stage moving shots (obviously run ahead or drive and then backup) and drone management. I suppose with some of the new DJI's they will follow you, but they really do add an element of interest and perspective to off-road adventures if done correctly and sparingly. Really considering the Air B4 a Death Valley trip that is coming up soon. 80 is staying at home. This trip, Power Wagon. 'Cause a Power Wagon Don't Care! (and it gets better gas milage and is more comfortable and can haul more and, and, and) #3630
Great video! Have you used the lens correction in Lightroom? It works wonders for correcting any lens distortion. Also, if you like the grunge look, try sharpening it up a bit, and using the mask to only sharpen the edges.
Thanks for making this video!
Thank you!
I see some Jade on the Beach :-)
What would you recommend for a camera under $800 for a newbie? $2500 for the Mark IV is more than I spent my daily driver. LOL!
Wow. Been using Photoshop for years - need to make the switch!!
Lightroom is just a bit more in depth than Camera Raw in Photoshop. If you are used to Photoshop and like using it, just pre-process in Camera Raw.
thanks for the help with this one member 5566
Love canon cameras and printers, they make great products. Unfortunately I am using a canon point and shoot along with using photos on my mac. Member #650 Northern California (aka State of Jefferson).
When the landscape offers no straight lines, the straight lines on your subject can make the image look crooked. One additional thing I would have done was rotate that image slightly so that the top-most straight lines on the rig weren't displayed at such a diagonal angle. Of course, that's not appropriate in every photo, but in your sample, rotating 2° CCW would level the roof rack/light bar and provide better focus on the LC.
That could be a real thing artists do, or that could just be my personal preference. Something to play around with. I know nothing about photography.
One of my examples was this beach shot I took last year. I rotated it just slightly so the rear awning was parallel with the edge of the photo. Not doing so made things look wonky. ovrlxnd.com/images/fjcruiser/rotation-example.jpg
Is that Jake's Jade I see on the beach???
Yup!
Internet Hater! that was excellent!
:)
Nice going Hollywood, now I can't believe anything I see!
You can’t start your videos without saying your name! :)
You are so right!
Your costing us even more coin. Thanks though.
why is your video fuzzy
It is called bokeh. Intentional. Google it.
Indiana Jones is from the 70's?!?!?
Ironically you were out of focus... 😉
