I have learned so much from this channel in both my photography but also a successful IG account. Went started a new account 2 years ago and am sitting at 2700 followers. Your videos are excellent for anyone trying to grow in photography or social media. Thank you for what you do!!!
I am amazed that this kind of valuable information is just sitting FREE on RUclips, let alone existing in general. As I'm working on my own portfolio for a future career in this field, you are a Godsend for posting this out here. Thank you brother for sharing your knowledge with us!
Done a lot of hobby car photography and your last tip came through me. I look at my insta and none of my photos where centered in my IG grid and other platform. Looked at some of the IG I follow they were most of the time all centered and visible... I think I finally discovered one major element that was wrong with my photos. Thanks!
About to take some shots for a friend's car company this weekend and your channel is absolute gold! You're a great teacher and clearly equally as great at what you do!
I am saving up for a decent starter camera so i can finally start shooting my first photos because im stuck with just a phone. im learning from this channel a lot, can't thank you enough for this content!
I found this super helpful thank you! I also appreciated that you took it down a notch in terms of complexity. I've found some of your videos to be a bit advanced (my fault not yours), so I welcome more of the beginner recommendations!
No joke, you are very helpful man. I just purchased one of my dream cars (1979 Corvette)I'm not that great at pictures so I've been looking for some ideas. And out of all the videos I've seen in the last 2 hrs, yours has been the most helpful and complete 🤙🏽. Thanks man! Def subscribed!
Awesome! I used to do landscape photography but now I have a Bronco Chanel and Instagram, so I've been having fun playing around with car photography. Going to go purchase your lightroom bundle. Thanks for the great advice!
I want a Bronco so bad!! Would love to have the BRZ and the Bronco in the garage some day! Hopefully the content and presets help you in your journey mate! Cheers.
Stumbled across the is video and always looking to learn to improve my car photography. Not sure if you ever check out people's work that are trying to get into the field and give critiques but would love it if you do. I definitely already do a lot of the tips you suggested in this video so that gives me a little bit of confidence.
Hey bro just subbed to ur videos. I’m not tryna be a pro Instagram person or anything like that I just have a love for cars and I like taking pictures. Appreciate you
I appreciate you taking the time to watch the videos mate, glad you’re enjoying the content regardless of the end goal. I’m loving making it so glad you’re sticking around. 👊🏼
@@TheCarCreative I watched this video last night before I posted this comment and then went to a near by casino parking garage to take pics at night ; my headlights kinda leave this light beam in my photos lol do u know how to fix that? I have triple beam headlights on my Lexus that’s why I wanted to get the lights on the pic
I personally don't have an issue with composition, but this video was still nice to watch! My thing is trying to figure out how the hell professional retouchers edit. Most of my editing consists of playing with Lightroom sliders and only use Photoshop to remove sensor dust or to make some attempt at color correcting the car. Hell I'm even willing to pay to learn how to edit like a professional retoucher 😅
So how do you take cool photos of cars you see on the street? You don’t have control over where they’re parked or time of day for lighting so I wonder how you make it look good? Obviously either not posting to Instagram or if you do, making it explicitly clear it’s not your car
Im working for a leasing company that wants realistic looking photos for the website for customer transparency on what they are getting so heavy filtering is out of the question. The issue im having is finding a good lighting source that doesn't make the car look to glary or uneven lighting. Is there a specific type of lighting source or bulb types or something that would work for all vehicle colors and sizes?
Hmm… lighting is tough, and can be expensive. Depending on the location I’d try and find a shaded area that you don’t have to fight light? Also a CPL filter will help tremendously with glare and reflections on the cars. 👍🏼
@@TheCarCreative Yea its even harder because we HAVE to take them inside for production sake so when theres bad weather we can still produce 20+ car photos. The lighting of the room is different for each location but think of a mechanic garage bay. Theres also not always the option to turn the overhead lights off because other people are using the space for other work.
I'm not a pro but generally yes, you would rather have the raw pics be underexposed (darker) instead of overexposed (lighter.) When editing, you can do a lot more and regain a lot more from dark shots vs light shots. The detail in overexposed parts of a photo cannot be regained, but underexposed parts can be edited so that you retain the details. Hope this helps!
Awesome video! Quick (maybe not) question How would go about taking pictures of a semi truck and trailer? Especially since places to park, equipment, lighting and time are quite a bit more limited than in a car?
@@TheCarCreative The fact that you took the time to reply to a comment on a video that was posted more than a year ago... so underrated and so appreciated 🙌 Not gonna lie - I've been binge watching all your videos, love all your content and your awesome character. #justsaying

I saw the ice when I showed up, but when I saw the bigger vehicles on it I felt comfortable. There’s actually drift tracks on it now… might give those a go 🤔
Sure, it can be whatever you want it to be brother. 👊🏼 it’s all a personal choice. These are just guidelines I use that I’ve found have given me success in this particular area. Cheers!

So is that what it's called, rule of third? Is that an app you can download to your phone to get the grid?
An other point, use the different lines around the car to guide the eyes to the car, can be a brick wall, a center line on a road...
Love your choice in car btw, the BRZ is awesome
Loved that car! Sold it and got a new GTI, no regrets, much different car but so much fun!
@@TheCarCreative you can't see it but I am crying XD XD
love this video man! I focus heavily on shooting with minimal space and it has become one of my favorite things to do with automotive photography

Going be doing a review of my 2021 Yukon XL Denali and wanted some tips before taking photos and videos this was awesome thanks :)

Hmm… have you considered a drone? That could allow you to get some wider shots of the whole unit without having to walk far away from it…
@@TheCarCreative yup. Got a mini 2
How’s that working? A decent solution?
@@TheCarCreative yes. It works good when I can fly it. It’s been too windy and cold lately

You are so welcome!
What camera do you have?
Lumix s5 was used for this shoot! And just purchased new camera so stay tuned!
which car is this?

Found a road that looks awesome for drone shots but it’s literally the run up to the major airport runway 😂
That’s the worst!
Isn't that ghost lake?!?!?!?! :-D :-D 😀
