In this video I show you how to shoot cinematic car videos POV style using the Canon R5 and DJI Ronin RS2. Learning to shoot cinematic car videos isn't as hard as you might think and whether you've got the same gear as me or not, the concepts behind the camera remain the same. If you have any questions about video frame rates or when to shoot 24fps, 60fps, or 120fps, I go through some of the reasons why I use those. Have you experiences flickering lights in your car videos? There's a great tip in this video how to fix that. Get creative, find your own angles, but this should give you a great starting point to shoot some cinematic car videos.

Would be so cool to see how you edit it! 🙋♂️☝️
tbh its to figure out, but requires practice
That would be awsome! In General some more tutorials would be great !
Did he upload a video on editing?
The edit is at the very beginning of this video :)
@@edison9100 😂😂
One of the most discouraging things for me is to see how "crappy" the OOC footage looks before it's slowed down and the magic sprinkled on. Seeing this and knowing what the end result can look like is definitely going to help me keep my confidence up on set!
Good point! Gotta have your eye on the edit before you even start. =)
Was thinking exactly the same. It would seem I’m over thinking and it doesn’t need about 5 takes I’m currently doing now to get it near enough how I want it 🤣
This is exactly what I was looking for! Definitely never thought of reversing the footage in post but after watching this video it totally makes a lot of sense and I am actually going to be purchasing that car mount for my own POV videos I plan on filming in the future. Thank you so much for producing the content we want to see!
i agree, I never thought about that tip. My footage used to be out of frame always 😂😂😭😭
Really appreciate this detail. I took some notes and am going to implement into my videos. Great work all around and beautiful S5!
Epic as always man! Would love to see more about your colour profile settings and colour grading process - it ALWAYS looks incredible 🤯
Just stepping into the filming world, thanks for the tips! Heading out now to film some car b-roll! I’ll comment when I’m done and hopefully you can give me some pointers 👍🏻😁
love all your videos and how you explain the shots and settings. By far the top car photographer/videographer on youtube. Been watching for over a year now and have learned so much keep it up! I love your videos!
Dude! So encouraging to hear that! Thank you! There are plenty of talented guys and gals out there so I really appreciate it. Cheers!
That moment when key frames are your best friend.
Dope stuff also love your lightroom edits.
Always 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Greetings from Germany
Your videos are sick!! I enjoy them so much. More power to you Alex..!!
Love this!!! Going to try some (all) of these when I next have a press car! Thanks for making this dude! 👊
Epic brother! Let me know if you need any more info, you know where to hit me up! 👊🏼
Thanks Alex. Really enjoyed this one. I work for a dealership, definitely going to use these techniques.
Killer video dude. Very insightful and literally changes my approach to the video process.
This is a really Insightful video about how to shoot car cinematic. I'm a begginer videoagrapher/photographer wanting to see what I like and I really appreciated you going into detail about everything. So showing ur POV, what u look like doing it and what that shot looked like edited in post.
I still can't believe we both shot an S5 and made a cinematic video the same week! Love this car, I noticed on yours as well that the windows seem to have a checkered pattern. I thought for a second that it was something up with my camera! Glad to see another great video from ya man!
brill video mate definitely trying these next week
Love the intro with all those shots!
aahh, this is perfect! exactly what I was looking for! quality content dude, keep up the hard work! 🔥
I literally just got my ronin and you drop this vid THANK YOU 🙏
Cool video, nice and clean shots!
You can look into the "SMALLRIG Adjustable Handle Sling Handgrip for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2" this makes handling the gimbal a lot easier I noticed. You can get closer to the ground (briefcase mode) without losing your stand ability from the RS2 with the original handle. It also gives you the ability to use two hands on the gimbal and the option for more attachments.
I'm just getting started with video stuff and I'm using my Z6 and the DJI RS2 (no 4k60😢 for me yet).
Keep up the good work and thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences!
Loved the car content. Very educational
I enjoyed it, man. Appreciate it. Would be sick to see the edit!

Thanks for the info, trying to step up my editing game for my videos, this helped a lot… just need a better camera now
I’d love to see a video on how to edit using speed ramps and quick cuts combined with how you choose your music for each video.
Hell yeah! I haven’t gone out and practiced yet. But the idea of doing the shots in reverse is awesome
Works great for real estate videos too 👌🏼
Please do a POST Production Video on how you edit. From the sequence setting to export. Include effects like time remapping please. Thats where am struggling,

Dude!! Teach me all your wizardry.
Thank you!
Thanks for the tips! Always cool to learn from you. What color profiles did you use? I'm a Sony guy but I assume there are some coloraturas profile for canon too? Did you shot in "raw" ? Thanks!
when you shoot with sony a73, you use both card in sony, (image and video files are recorded simultaneously on both cards.) or you use (Standard) so one card full up so start wriet to 2th card.
Helpful Love form Everest country🥰
