My name is Ike Stephens. I started driving a truck in 2002. I started making trucking videos in 2010. I've done everything from VLOGs to parodies.
Trucker Rag Chew | Trucker Rag Chew is mixture of Vlog, music, and opinion. It is one of the original VLOG style videos series in the RUclips Trucking genre.
Bonehead Truckers® | I am one of only people who will call out the bad things truckers do to ruin this industry. Bonehead Truckers® exposes the bad behavior of truck drivers.
Trucking Advice | Mixed is into the normal videos, I have been known to put out an occasional educational video. Even though I still have a lot to learn myself, the things I do talk about is stuff I've learned the hard way.
RUclips Live | I was one of the original content creators to do live content. I started on Ustream and when RUclips started the live interactive content, I was one of the first to participate.

I've been driving truck over 32 years semi and 8 years straight truck and this is one reason I retired at 62 because there is no courtesy out here no more. It just gets aggravating to have to wait on fuel for somebody to goofy to pull up when done fueling cause you on the clock and try to get as far as you can before your clock runs out !
Good for you, enjoy your retirement! I just retired 3 months ago and don't miss any of all that nonsense that goes on nowadays! I really wouldn't recommend trucking as a vocation to anyone anymore...
I pray you have a Healthy retirement! and your right I don't miss any of that. Only thing I missed were friends I made over the years over the road! @@rickymcginnis7300
I drove for close to 35 years. In 2014 I had 3 heart attacks in a 4 month period. I was told I should not be out there anymore.
EVERY DAY I feel ashamed that I can no longer, especially physically, be out there driving the beautiful trucks I’ve loved my entire life. At 6 months old, my mother was really sick, so my dad took me with him. He drove an old Cracker Jack GMC with a 318 Detroit. He shoved me between the metal that surrounded the mattress, and the mattress itself. I caught the fever and have never lost it.
Having said all that, I could never put up with the total ignorance, total foolishness, and especially the total lack of respect from the flip flop wannabe truck drivers.
I’ve always said this… “Anyone can drive a truck, but not everyone is a “Truck Driver”.
Subsequent from those 3 heart attacks, two years ago I had my fourth, witch resulted in open heart by-pass surgery. That ended my hope of ever driving again.
Godspeed to all of you battling these idiots every day.
Godbless.

This is what I'm trying to worn Ike about!!!
Walking in front of the guy and having his back to him when a not cordial interaction was already initiated was also a risky thing to do.
Ike is getting soft 😂
Some of these truckers have guns
Swift doesn’t allow guns but of course some do anyway
Dude got shot at a georgia loves some years ago after confronting a fuel island blocker. Guy went back to his truck and grabbed his tool and the blocker saw him coming.. pulled his and fired 1st. It was ruled self defense.
I knew this would happen, and it's gonna get worse. Once you call them out, then chill. You made your point.
This is the problem i have with this.. I have called out other drivers blocking the fuel island before BUT you have to be respectful. Up until the other person becomes disrespectful. Thats my 2 sense
I agree. Some drives don't want a camera in their faces. Be careful, be wise, and Pick Your Battles.
No icke the swift driver needs to go back to his tree not just stay in it!!😂😂
He's an 6 month experience trainer trained by a 6 month experience trainer consider the source.
Swift taking a break in the fuel island probably saved some one else a major problem...They would have hit another truck if they had to back in.
BS. And if that was his trainer, he should be getting constant training on backings so that the trainee can be more able to back safely once the trainee is on his own. You can't tell me that lot was full at that time of day.
@@ScottZanethis was the trainer I had. The 4 weeks I was with him we backed into a parking spot at the truck stop once a week and that was on shower day. He makes you look for a straight back. The one week I setup for a 45 degree back and he yelled at me. It started an argument between us. He’s a very lazy trainer and should have that privilege taken away from him. The little bit of attitude you see in the video is pretty normal for him.

Your right there Ike! Both were in the wrong Swift for not pulling up and the camera guy for going overboard acting like a tattletale for keeping on rubbing it in!
I wonder how many drivers get all excited when they see something they can record and send to you. Sometimes all I hear is something that sounds like second graders on the playground. One kid telling Miss Susie, that another kid said the F word.
I was just thinking the same thing. Its like one child excited to tattle on another🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I AGREE! To feel important they instigate stuff to then record a reaction as well.
I see stuff and I'll record it than carry on my day. But record or not, this stuff is just ignorant. Fuel Island is for getting fuel not for taking your break.
Camera guy probably blocked the pumps while he spent time making a video.

Are you gonna change it to “boneheaded truckers”
People think only of themselves. I have as a 4 wheeler pulled up to a pump and someone in front has gone in the store leaving the car there. When I get inside it's that person buying scratch-off lottery tickets. Not a couple but like 20 of them. Asking the clerk for specific ones that he has to go digging for "No not THAT one..." and then standing right there at the counter scratching them off! People are getting worse.
The luxury of this being a car is easily maneuverable in most situations. I would simply go pay for my fuel, get in my car and go about my merry way 😊
Time is money to all of us and money is something we all need. If the person in front of me is not pumping and 15 minutes has gone by, I'm going inside and asking for a manager and letting him or her know.
I just don't understand why take a 30 minutes at a fuel island.
I've never taken my break at a fuel island and I've been driving for 23 years
You should make a "real truckers dont park in the fuel island" shirt 😂

Stay in your tree... I can tell you that I will always remember that.
In the movie Apocalypse Now, the saying is, never leave the boat....
@ onejjohn2 26, what ever floats your boat there buddy .
Dude moved into the guy's space quickly and could have pulled a blade and stabbed him before he could react. We live in a world on the edge. Confrontation like this may be Swift dudes last straw where his ability to control himself is out the window. We can't change shit in a box six feet under. Get mad at a trash can or a piss bottle. Hey, if the shower is clean tip the cleaning guy a few bucks, you may change their world.😅
Both parties were equal contributors in this situation. Confrontations like this can easily turn violent. I liked the old driver's advice, 'Stay in your tree.' I recall my first new driver's orientation as a trainee fresh out of CDL school. The presenter, a veteran driver with the company spoke about road rage and incidents we would encounter. He wrote the word FIDO on the board. Forget It Drive On. Stay in your tree and keep on trucking.
Why is no one talking about him saying Bone headED trucker? My damn neck hairs stood up every time he said it 😂
One of these days, someone is going to get hurt doing this filming shit. Some of these guys are not very stable...
An out of State Driver took a crap behind one our Trucks a few weeks ago . Man crap paper had people running for cover soon as the Sun came up & the wind started blowing 😂 . The Bozo didn’t realize that the Camera was pointed right at him . Don’t know the outcome but it was sent to his Company .

That man was looking for a reaction and he got one. That was unnecessary provocation. The white dude is lucky because most Swift drivers would’ve straight up punched him.
Outside of this video the man repeatedly came up to the semi, getting in the trainee’s face and telling him he was doing his job wrong. The trainer eventually came out and asked him to stop before going back to his truck but the man kept coming up to provoke him.
They were originally in the truck for only five minutes when the man decided to start recording and it takes almost half an hour to fill up a 400lb semi truck.
I drive for swift, if I’m stopping for fuel as well as a 30 minute break, it takes me about 10 min to fuel up and that’s from about 1/4 tank, and about 2 minutes to find a parking spot to back into.
Yea some people needs to think twice before saying or doing super trucker stuff.
It takes very little effort to trigger a truck driver.
Leave him or her alone, CB is not for insults either.
Trucking isn’t far from slavery
As much as blocking the fuel lanes irritates me, I personally don't feel the need to get my camera out. Sometimes, it feels like a lot of drivers are just trying to get their little piece of clout instead of helping. The first thing I do when I see that is either call or visit the fuel desk and tell them there's a truck blocking the pumps. Truck stops hate that, and a manager telling them to either move their junk or get towed is usually enough to get all but the most stubborn boneheads out of there.
So before you start filming, just let the fuel desk know that some idiot is costing them money. That will get things done real quick, and then you can film the bonehead getting told off by an angry Love's manager.
Two drivers in truck don’t have to even do a 30 minute break, even if your training, switch drivers and move on.
You know they might not have been on any break, all you see is someone with small man syndrome deciding to film people and Swifty is the one who he got a reaction from, and for nothing more than attention.
Thanks FOR Sharing This TEACHABLE MOMENT.
IF YOUR NOT BEING AFFECTED BY SOMEONE, just FUEL And GO DRIVER.
YOU Might Film Someone And They Just Lost Their Job, and YOU Could Loose Your Life 👌🏾

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with truck stops anymore. I got a local job and fuel at the yard.
I may have pulled a couple of pins but I have had some good times on the back row
Common courtesy is 15 min at the pump, 15 min pulled up.....there you go....30 min break.
I don't normally respond to a sponsor but...
That headset looks pretty cool IF AND ONLY IF it's durable. I tried the solar powered flashlight that PFJ sells and it worked great as it slowly disintegrated over a month.
Ended up getting that hand crank flashlight that sporting goods stores sell instead. Lasting over a year and still in great shape. Imagine if someone made a hand crank headset...
Glad you said something about this. Recently that guy with the dog was intimidating another truck driver, and the dog was ready to attack. Had that happened it would have turned out very bad for him and his dog. Plus, I’m pretty sure that guy himself filmed his own feet for a brief moment, and he had FLIP FLOPS on! And as for Johnny Mack, he starts out calm, but then it escalates. In the horrible world we live in probably it would be better if he would film in a safe place, which I’ve seen him do in the past. Thanks for listening…
Johnny Mac,, took care of business..lol
I had to back up to take the other pump.. he got the lock.. I still laugh my ass off
The guy recording was wrong. It's Bonehead Truckers. Not, Boneheaded Truckers.
The guy who recorded and end up being wrong is a Truck Stop Karen.

The driver recording had to be parked in the fuel island for at least 30mins himself too. You DON'T need to record an unsuspected driver then result to name calling from 2 bays away then process to walk towards their truck still name calling. . . get your own fuel and get out the way yourself 🤔

All this just validates my decision to retire recently and is the only reason i watch this channel! So much crap happens now that didnt happen back in the 1980's when i started and i really wouldnt endorse trucking as a viable long term occupation to any young people starting out in life! The highway is a warzone and more people have died there than in all the wars the U.S. has ever fought in...

Well Ike, you set the stage for all of this! And although it's wrong to block the fuel island, and it's wrong to get physical over thing's, you still have a modicum of responsibility for starting these confrontations!
Ike, have you ever considered the legal aspects of these confrontations?!

Both them idiots are out there arguing and the guy behind Swift is just sitting there in his tree waiting to get fuel.

Swifty Swift does it again.
How it makes me feel.....disappointment. And a wonderful desire to share this video with my fleet leader at Swift. Shame on the mess.
Truckers gotta quit blocking fuel lanes. Every trucker is on a different schedule.
Get your fuel, DEF, wash the windows & windshield, clean off marker & clearance lights or self maintenance on your tractor and trailer. And get what you need inside the truck stop building and get going.
The more you f**k around, the less money is on your paycheck.
The object of the job is to squeeze as many miles legally within 70hrs 8 day rule.
Do 30 minutes breaks at Shippers and Receivers, rest areas, but not in the fuel lanes. Each load is on a schedule. And you don't want to be late.
🎯🎯🎯
You only make more money if it is drop and hooks. Live loads are different, and Swift has a lot of those. So rushing makes no sense. "Hurry up and wait."
@KILRtv I started trucking 34 years ago. You're absolutely right, drop & hook saves time.
But keep in mind, you got to drive, load, unload, drop & hook, fuel, pre-trip...etc all within 70hrs a week.
Then you have delays...traffic, weather, Shippers and Receivers, don't forget vehicle break downs...etc.
Then you have 10hr breaks or you're 12, 15, 20, 24 hours early to deliver or pickup.
Then you have 34hr reset for the 70hrs 8 day rule.
And you're not getting paid for all that downtime. You only get paid detention & layover pay.
Then the FMCSA changes HOS rules and 14 consecutive hours, means you're working on a time clock system. In other words, trucking is dead. Not worth it. I rather go back to the paper logs and 15 non-consecutive hour rule and have full control of my working days.
Last but not least, you CAN'T teach or train the next-generation truckers/drivers. Since the FMCSA destroyed the 20th century trucking industry. People think that truckers make a lot of money, but in reality, the FMCSA destroyed all that. Especially company drivers. Independent Owner Operator/Contactors, hopefully they can strike great freight charges to keep the operation afloat??
@gregnosal3297 , yeah, I know all that too well. I'm with Swift, but no longer OTR. Too much wasted time, and they kept giving excuses for not paying detention or layover. Add to that my health wasn't getting better. I had to stop. I decided to do trucking part time on a casual fleet and then find another job. I'm happier. Better pay, more respect, and I'm not having to deal with all the crap on the road and truck stops. I can get out once in a while and enjoy the drive, make a little money, and then go back to my full-time job.
@KILRtv I'm glad you found something better in trucking. I don't bitch about the job. I bitch about how the FMCSA completely changed the trucking industry.
And people think they can make a lot of money in it. Nope!
I'll be retiring in August 2025. I'll have over 35 and half years when it's all done.
Also, I don't put down trucking companies either. There all the same. And I've done local trucking 4 times, so, I'll be finding a totally different job. I just need 8 more years of work, then it will be full time retirement. Plus, I used the trucking industry as a financial tool to gain wealth in my retirement accounts. That was my secret. Because I'm single. No children out of wedlock or no mortgages. Debt free.
But my real secret was, I got into trucking to save up for Industrial Trade School between 1990 - 2000, but I got bitten by the truckers bug in 1992. I wanted to be a diesel mechanic with electrical and welding and fix the big rigs.
But I made a fortune in Walmart Shares, a nice chunk of change to retire on.
Well, I wish you the very best and I hope everything works out for the best.
"Shame on the mess." This channel caused this.
I love watching the mighty silverback in his native habitat.
IKR? Swifty here is definitely one big ape that should have stayed in his tree...
You said it in a way that I didn’t think of but we know the bottom line , same group
I heard Swift Knight) got a cheaper Ins. Carrier who has installed cameras on the trucks to monitor every move or wrong move and has axed a lot of drivers 😮
I think the big companies don't want their drivers backing up and just tell them to park in the fuel island. The big companies control the drivers fuel stops and have to fuel where they're told. 90% of the time they are not fueling
He out here training people to take breaks in the fuel island
Those people drive me nuts too, but I don't stir up drama unless it affects me personally (e.g., I'm behind them). I'm crazy enough that I'll tell them they'll have until I return to my own truck to get out of the fuel island, or I'm going to see to it that they need a tow truck to get out of there. It's just not worth the trouble that can ensue when you're not even behind the driver in question.
I've eased up in the fuel isle before and asked behind me for 8 minutes. If the answer is no I leave.
How do you know he was blocking the fuel pumps might had mechanical issues
Some people still have to walk in to pay.
But get your fuel and move, your 1/2 hr fueling and a cheeseburger plus the next guy fueling cheats the next guy out of a hour of running pay time.
Park your trucks LA you need the exercise.
Swift management now knows about the video.
These field reporters are going to cross the wrong dude someday

Stay in your lane and use your blinker...that's my advice to peeps. Won't be no problems.
Stay in your lane=mind your business.
Yes your blinker=if not the above, be nice most peoples respond/respect being nice about it.
I'm not a trucker and even I dont block fuel islands either. Those that do make it hard for the ones behind them get to where they're going on time. I was at a Wawa one night parked in a regular parking space eating a cheesesteak when I saw a group of young people pull into the fuel island with their sports cars blocking 4 pumps . They just parked there for 2 hours never getting gas talking loud and acting like they're hot **** and being rude to those who wanted get gas at that Wawa in Pottstown Pa. Those who block fuel islands and other things being selfish are being rude and disrespectful to others. Respect is a 2 way street. You gotta give it to get it.
How long have you drove
Live and let live.
Maxx mounts are the best....
"There's no expectation of privacy in public while I film you, I know my rights." That driver sounds like he's one of them Sovereign citizens that would refuse to give a cop his driver's license and then get tased for his entitlement. 😂
Send ALL your videos to Swift te swift,, I can’t believe they put with this jeezzzzz
I think two wrongs never make a right. Two grown men acting like children.
Remember to if you grab for someone’s phone or camera or touch them in anyway most states says that assault an can take you to jail is it worth it then
Looks to me like some people getting to wound up over a little spat.
After you fuel up...pull up to the line so the next driver can fuel up...that's why the line is there...go in to the bathroom...get a hot dog and a soda...and get back on the road. Approximately 10 minutes. Don't abuse this. Don't park there and go inside and take a shower...or...don't take your 8 hour brake there. always be courteous to the driver behind you. And if you hold up the driver behind you, be man enough to apologize.
Does the sign writing on the door say "Swift Transpoptation" ?

What happened to 4 Wheeler Friday?
Real trucker drivers know not to park in the pumps. But once yal get in your heads its NEVER going to change, youl be way more at peace. It aint like it used be. Be careful out there guys.
Exactly right! I’ve been driving for 30 years and it’s always been this way. I’m guilty of using a fuel lane to run in and pee or to grab some food, but I run mostly at night and don’t have a choice because all the spots are taken by the solar powered super truckers. I’m always right in and right out though
We’re is 4 wheeler Friday at
