I just bought an HR-V. I live in Philadelphia and commute everyday on some of the fastest highways in the nation. Acceleration into highway traffic is fantastic. This is an excellent practical vehicle.

    • @FasterThanSoup
      @FasterThanSoup 2 года назад

It’s odd how often reviewers downplay power and acceleration on smaller engines.
I have a 2016 Scion Im - 1.8l with a CVT! It’s pure economy hatchback with somewhat sporty styling.
The sport button helps hold the revolutions higher for better acceleration too.
It becomes about how fast you’re actually willing to drive because it’s all relative when the drivers with bigger engines choose to drive slowly.
Larger displacement is a waste of potential for light commuter vehicles on North American roads.
Even small electric cars are rapidly proven that.

My wife got the 2020 EX and we love it, very comfortable. It comes with active noise cancelling so hardly any road noise. Awesome ride for road trips and seating is comfy as well. The best is the techonoly package, Honda sensing. To me, the best trim to go with is the EX. You get side view camera and a moon roof.

Good honest review. Too many reviewers gush over the vehicles as they review them. Your honesty, cringeworthy moments, is refreshing. My 2015 Fit EXL has been pretty good. My 2010 Fit Sport is going strong with my son as the second owner. The infotainment has been pretty poor thus far. My issue with the HRV is price. To get decent, but not great options, you climb towards $30K and still are lacking in options. The reliability, fuel efficiency, and utility of the magic seats and more make the Fit and HRV uniquely different, but still there’s a feeling of cheapness that is stubbornly present. CarPlay finally easing into the lower end of the Honda lineup changes things up a bit.

I've been looking into this car for a few months now, a few of my family members have been devoted CR-V drivers for over the last decade... but they also have kids to accommodate for, whereas I just have a growing chocolate lab! I love the interior of the CR-V but I don't need something that big. I looked at the Nissan Kicks and it looks slick but I live in Pennsylvania and AWD is extremely important to me. The HR-V looks great and the price is great, too! I'm currently driving a 2011 Jeep Compass but every other month I'm repairing it for some reason or another, so I think this is what I'm going for. Thanks, man!

This Honda HR-V is the BEST out there. Come with naturally aspirated engine - NOT a TURBO. Never get a turbo SUV. Too costly to repair. Does NOT come with START STOP. Never get a start/stop SUV. Too aggravating and wears out the starter motor too early. Never mind turning off the air conditioning at every stop light and prematurely wearing out the air conditioning. This Honda HR-V is the best small SUV out there.

Just bought a HRV Touring 2020 yesterday, to be delivered in a week.We live in Québec, so we have to take in consideration to go for a good winter vehicle.Honestly, the choice was between this one and the Crosstrek Limited from Subaru. Both are incredible and reliable sub-compact SUV's, and on long term we have decided to go for the HRV for 3 reasons: lower costs of maintenance, good value for resell, and a better view for the rear window. Not a powerful car, but do we really need it??? Driving mostly in the city, but the AWD will sure help to get through thick snow sometimes in our area. Not the best car, but probably the best for us !!! And this will be probably our last car with fuel...next one an electric car, let's wait and see !!!

Your review is lacking in many respects. The fact is this car is a much more reliable and comfortable vehicle then the Subaru Crosstrek in which it competes. Honda's engine is by far more reliable than the Subaru as is its transmission. The interior quality of materials is exceedingly better in the Honda. In terms of handling the Honda will outmaneuver the Crosstrek. The interior volume and capacity is much better in the Honda. Also if you buy the LX or ex or sport you will pay less money for a nicely equipped vehicle.

As a senior my hates the dash on her HRV. Everything in the touch screen. She wishes it had normal radio controls. For our non tech minds this is a major fault.

This car has a design flaw. I bought a 2021 HRV on March1, 2021 and
noticed an irritating piercing whistling noise on my way home when I
cracked open any front window or moonroof. I brought it back to
Huntington Honda twice and they said they test drove 2 other new HRVs
and they made the same horrible noise. So I'm basically told this is
normal on all HRVs. I wonder if Honda has a design flaw or whether
Huntington Honda is sitting on a bad batch?

this “subcompact” is the size of the original CRV. Except the original CRV felt light on its feet. Both this HRV and the newer CRV feel underpowered even though they’re more powerful than that original CRV.

A few years ago I traded my Camry in for a Honda Accord coupe EX-L with all the bells & whistles. I immediately noticed how much nosier Honda's are than Toyota's. I did not have a good experience with Honda. At 75,000 miles, the transmission went out & after getting that repaired the power steering went out along with the a/c & power door locks. I went back to Toyota when someone t-boned me in the Honda & totaled it. Toyota's have never given me any problems, ever!

The rpm thing keeps going CRAZY.. The engine is weak.....the cup holders suck. This review is too "nice"....its ok I can see you need their support.
