What is the best way to break bad mac habits? I always find myself mashing jump. I need to force myself to dair jump everytime to get the muscle memory down.
I think the best thing you can do is slow down your gameplay. People who like playing fast are prone to choosing characters like Mac, so it’s difficult for sure. Making each input intentional is a permanent part of getting better. Good luck!
Wouldn't it be better to use the full haymaker when using it first? Quick haymaker doesn't go as far as the full, and if you're far enough away, there's no worry about edgeguarding or interruptions, right?
Horizontally, the full and quick haymaker go the same distance. The only difference is the location of the active frames. Full haymaker = cannot act until 71 frames later. Quick = 51 frames. No matter where you use the haymaker, you will almost always be in a better position with the quick version. If you're far enough away, I suppose it doesn't matter which you use, but putting yourself in extra end lag isn't good practice, especially since they travel the same distance. Hope I helped!
Many projectiles can be tanked with neutral B. Water mechanics like greninja’s upb and Mario’s fludd, you can stall in the air with counter. I would use it sparingly, but countering projectiles can also be a huge help (however, if an opponent baits it, it’s largely punishable which is why I left it out of this video). Mixing up recovery paths is your best option though. Hope I helped some!
I've never tried that straight lunge tactic before thanks for the tip!
Good callout on the teabagging, haha! I was about to lose respect. Thanks for this video.

I'm late to the party, but quick haymaker will carry you the rest of the distance during endlag, but you can leave endlag sooner
