    Hello Mike I really enjoyed watching your video and I can sense a certain amount of confusion towards the end on what to do and I have a few questions that are very important that may help you through this.
    I recently started a modified carnivore diet to go with the strength training program I'm on.
    With that said how much physical exercise are you getting on a daily basis? You're talking about having problems with your feet and blood clots in your legs. When you walk and do physical exercise the muscles in your legs act like a pump and they squeeze the arteries to help circulate the blood through your legs and... well feet.
    Next would be adding extra load to your body, mainly putting more weight on your body than you normally carry around. I do a thing called a farmer carry which is basically taking the same amount of weight you feel comfortable with in each hand and walking around a certain distance with it. I carry my body weight divided between each hand. That may be a little much if you're weighing in at 210 lb because I'm 170 lbs body weight and it's a struggle carrying two 85 lb dumbbells and walking around the perimeter of the gym. This not only builds amazing grip strength but it builds overall body strength cardio and you can see real world results.
    Another thing I need to ask is how much water do you drink during a normal day? I don't mean water mixed with fruit juice or whatever I mean just water?
    Just to keep the math simple a 200 lb man should drink approxamately 100 oz of water per day. 1 oz of water per 1 lb of body weight daily. If you're exercising and sweating or maybe you had a coffee or something just add extra ounces of water since it will make you urinate more often.
    Salt is also very important and the rule of thumb I remember is 1/4 teaspoon of iodized sea salt daily and you can put that on your food.
    Bottom line is you have to be active preferably doing some kind of physical weight bearing exercise.
    Lastly I heard you talking about asking your doctor a lot of things. I would suggest contacting a sports medicine doctor and if you're already on the carnivore diet why would you not find a doctor locally who supports that diet?

    • @MikeShawTV
      @MikeShawTV  11 месяцев назад

      Amazing comment and suggestions! You are exactly right. I don't walk like I used to. I am doing some squats and pushups periodically and just started planking, but I do recognize it's not enough. Time to get serious for sure. Also, hydration. You are right again. I have a nurse friend who explained that my high BUN was a lack of hydration. I've already started to up my water! My doctor is low carb and has done the Carnivore WOE, so he gets it! Thank You again for some amazing tips!!!

    Dr Sten Ekberg has some good vlogs on Insulin resistance and how it can affect weight loss - Also the averages in your blood work are determined by the average of a few thousand tests in a lab - A lot of limits are then based on a sample of basically unhealthy people - So where fasting insulin a few years ago was 0 - 10 it is now 0 - 20 and the same is for all markers

    • @MikeShawTV
      @MikeShawTV  11 месяцев назад +1

      Good to keep in mind always. My fasting insulin was 5, so I'll take it!

    I've been mostly carnivore since Jan 1, and my HDL/Trig ratio was not unlike yours at 90 days.
    I'm now down to below 1.5 on the ratio. So hang on, it gets better.

    You can plug your bloodwork test results into the Levine Biological Age Calculator (Yale) and see how you are aging compared to your chronological age. My elderly mother has aged minus 18 years during the last 4 years in terms of her biological age. Her hs-CRP test result is 0.4 mg/L which indicates inflammation less than a typical teenager.

    Do you have Patreon or Venmo... or ?? I'm 59, after 100 mph head-on with a passed out DUI driver in Late 2016, my life had changed drastically and I'm now pressing for 300 lbs like it's some kind of goal or something, but I've always been a Clydesdale, I was 189 lbs as a freshman and by graduation hit 217 lbs but 11 % body fat but now I've started the carniv-eto style diet, I've always eaten health...ish just too much, wine beer and alcohol was always near ( I made beer for a few years, it's just not healthy) and when it's always around, it always gets consumed.. anyway, I thought I'd pay forward a small gift, let me know how to proceed

    • @MikeShawTV
      @MikeShawTV  11 месяцев назад +1

      Amazing story. Sorry about the DUI head on that almost killed you. I couldn't imagine! I have (had) the same problem with alcohol. I just can't have it around. It would have been fun to play football against you back in the day! I was a fast little guy. Hits from dudes like you hurt! I don't have Patreon, but my Venmo is @mikeshawtv. • @arthurfonzarelli9828

      Most doctors are inflamed and sick themselves in a terrible example of who to take advice from especially if they're using this advice. Our medical system is rotten to the core. There's only a handful of really good doctors out there nowadays and none of them are dealing with the insurance industry
