I ate 3 eggs with butter in the morning, but shortly after I desired steak and I ate 2 thin slices of steak and felt well satiated. Now, 5 hours later I still don't desire or crave anything, I'm still full. So it really works to eat by instinct. When it no longer tastes amazing you no longer need to eat.... it's so easy on carnivore. One problem I always faced as an ex vegan, ex vegetarian and ex pescatarian is that I never felt satiated mo matter the amount of "food" I'd eat and I'd end up feeling nauseaus yet still hungry and craving for more.
Some people need to do intermittent water fasting & dry fasting as well, extended fasting. Some people need too, cause everybody is different. But yes carnivore is tasty.. @anthonychaffeemd So I have a question about garlic. I understand you say all vegetables are bad (which I’m beginning to see why they are), but let’s say you have parasites. Is it still that toxic to incorporate garlic into your diet (carnivore diet) even if it’s for the purpose of repelling/killing off the micro-parasites?
Like he says, there's silver and gold medal. Silver is still really fucking good. Not everyone can afford 500$ of meat a month. That is of course if you eat 2 pounds of meat per day. i can get 30 pound for like 260$ Canadian here in Quebec so 520$ for 60 pound a month. Its a lot of money.

Dr. Chafee, bryan johnson is a guy who spent 2 million a yr to reverse aging. His diet is almost vegan bc his team of researchers found that to be optimal. What are your thoughts?

Hey Doc, are you familiar with Aajonous Vonderplanitz? He was a nutritionist that advocated for a raw animal based diet with excellent results. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.
@@t-rozbenouameur5304 Mind elaborating on why you think that? Just curious. Have incorporated some raw meat, plenty of raw egg yolks, and raw milk with good results so far.
@@lookupjackkruseonyoutube While he was a pioneer, some of his diet advice was questionable. The heavy juicing - quarts per day, salt is toxic, water is poison (drink NO water only milk), eat every 3 hours, even wake up in the middle of the night to do so. Also some of his claims are dubious. He was dying in the desert and wolves brought him a rabbit. He had 500 heart attacks, and so on. I have two of his books.
@@t-rozbenouameur5304 Ah. Yes I definitely agree with you on the juicing, salt, and water. I personally don’t implement those myself. Yes not everything he recommends resonates, but advocating raw animal foods has been great so far
Stopping when it stops tasting good is a real thing!! It blew my mind the 1st time I bit into a steak and was like *eww gross!!* The taste changes like magic once your full & you literally don’t want to take another bite!! 😂😂😂
I always thought this was something everyone experienced lol I was always perplexed at how people could overeat, because I've always gotten to a point where if I get overly full, the SMELL of the food that I was just eating starts to make me nauseous and disgust me, let alone eating and tasting more of it. The only thing that's ever overridden that was smoking weed 😂
Atkins' Diet book used to say, and it still might, that people either lose weight OR inches at first, and then things begin to even out. I can handle the weight, but I REALLY want the inches off!
You’re probably building more muscle mass, muscle is typically heavier than fat and your bones might also be getting stronger so that may be why the scale isn’t moving! You’re going in the right direction! :)
i found not all of us can just "eat meat" and feel great, my body outright refused this diet and still is to a degree, im constantly trying to experiment to see what exactly i can eat on carnivore that it will agree with. So dont feel bad that u dont feel like superman as Dr Anthony did in the beginning, i am also feeling like hell on earth many times on the diet but im still trying to make it work
My tips are just the same old most people say but basically eating enough can be hard. After thinking I was eating more than enough I just tried the "priming" thing advocated by the Steak and Butter Gang. It is about eating as much as you possibly can, for a couple of weeks. You will feel a bit sick and you will not like it but after this it was like my body was "on track". I have to eat more than just satisfying my hunger. I basically eat until I find it a little bit repulsive (for lack of better terms) and I think Anthony's tips of using the taste instead of "hunger" works well. Also eating too little fat seems common (I mostly eat (15/85, 20/80 because that's what I can find around here) ground meat with some butter added). Each to their own with the required fat intake. Good luck with whatever you try!
Yeah bacon is good! Just take a look at the ingredients and make sure it has as little additives and sugar as possible. Get naturally cured with no added sugar if possible. Although this is hard to come by sometimes.
While this is incredibly useful and likely applicable for many I'd like to just make one amendment For some people like myself the "just eat meat" is too vague. I attempted carnivore multiple times and ended my streaks due to feeling weak, lethargic, and nauseous. I felt what I can only assume in many tries to be "rabbit starvation" and on some attempts likely overdid it with the fat where I quite literally became almost disgusted with what I was eating and lost my desire to eat. I'm still trying to experiment and find a way that I can fully commit to the carnivore diet but so far no luck. So I feel the, "just eat meat" advice is not suitable for some such as myself. I wish I could have been warned by some with much experience on safe ways to start for those who's bodies might outright reject this way of eating if not done in a very specific way The only advice I can give to those who unfortunately were not blessed to feel amazing day 1 just eating meat like myself is experiment a lot and when you begin to feel REALLY bad break it eat the carbs till you feel normal again then try again but with a different approach This has been the only way I haven't completely and utterly given up on the carnivore diet yet
You feeling disgusted with your food is your body telling you to stop eating. That’s what is supposed to happen. It’s happened to me as well, and usually at that point you don’t have to eat for another 24 hours unless you start to feel hungry again. You’ll get it man just do some more research and try to listen to your body a little more. I quit nicotine, drinking, and smoking all at once and a month later changed my diet to carnivore. Quoting sugar and carbs was easy after all that
@@garymichael8591 "eat as much as you want" didnt work for me brother, id end up nauseated to the point where i didnt even trust myself to drive my car to work, my body just was going absolutely bonkers. I had to do a week, see what i did such as fat to protein ratio and what i ate go back to carbs and fruit for a day or two to become normal again then try again with a different way. My last attempt i at least didnt feel so weak and nauseated but i did reach a point of "meat aversion" where i would take a couple of bites of my meat, eggs and bacon and literally want to throw it up, like i did not even want to imagine myself eating it. so maybe theres a very specific way i have to go about it to not feel the weakness, lethargy and nausea but also avoid the hating what i eat to the point of wanting to throw it up out of disgust safe to say im not like chaffee where i "just ate meat" and felt amazing day 1 and better and better after. for me this will be a VERY challenging road it would seem

thank you for this video!!! I did the mistake of adding fiber. I was lacking fat. Then I added too much fat! Balance is very important guys!
Great short! Confirms all Ive learn’t over the last few years! Thank you
Use Redmonds salt it has minerals needed. Take a mag. And potassium suplement also❤
So glad to found your channel here thx
Amen! Down 25 lbs
Really. Really pleased with this video. I wish I would’ve seen that a few months ago. That is really the basics that I was looking for again really pleased.
Thank you! I have 20 pounds to get to my doctor's goal weight! I'm down from 213 pounds and resolved T2D. So I have adopted carnivore to have a strong finish to my goal. This really helps (the pooh tip).
Nice...Thank you so much
Great video - love how you keep it simple
Doc. How often do you poop?
Thank you very much! Very rarely, maybe once or twice a week.
Thank you for these videos and shorts!!
I love how simple your videos are. That's what you need starting this journey. Laura Spath has also been incredibly helpful. You have a wonderful way of communicating yet offering the scientific side in a way the real world understands. Thank you for doing this. My husband and I are collecting information to get started & all of your content is incredible.
It's so simple, thank you Dr Chaffee!
I think that some people run into issues if they just start carnivore... I did! Actually you should ease into it spanning several weeks, Your intestinal flora needs to aclimate. If you run into chronic diarrhea you may need to do some 1 2 days fasts refeed days repeat. That fixed it for me. Now doing really well 👍🏻
Glad to hear that you're doing well!

@@davidrodgers4760You can do this!
Thank you for this my brother. Your information is so calm and full of wisdom!
Gmo meat from unnatural meat sources, is not natural. An all meat diet in a harvard study raises ldl cholesterol and increases mortiliy rates. Meat especially red has an abundance of tryptophan which is the amino linked to cancer growth. Plant anti oxidants inhibit tumor cell growth, too much saturated fat causes heart palpitations and eventually cardiomyopathy.
The carinvore diet is a slow way of depleting your liver and kidneys ability to rinse ammonia, a by product of meat proteins, a human can survive for a while this way, the question is how long? 😂
Thanks Doc. Love ya.
Some people need to do intermittent water fasting & dry fasting as well, extended fasting.
Some people need too, cause everybody is different. But yes carnivore is tasty..
I only eat once a day, & I am never hungry and I lost ALL cravings for different habits on day one of carnivore two yrs ago. 😊 Some times I eat twice in a 5-6 hr window 🪟..
Sorry folks ,, fasting & dry fasting is natural as well..
Listening to Dr chaffee is a good thing...😊
Thank youuuuuuuu.

Sugar is the thing giving me the most trouble.
We can tell
Ruthless 😂
Both of you are EXtremely RUDE. Don’t be hateful. Be helpful.
Ms. Jill-I too sympathize with you and as a 57 year old with deterioration in her knees, over weight and a pre-diabetic but FULL of life…
I implore you Ms. Jill-to KEEP TRYING but…you must give up that sugar.
It is a hidden killer.
You CAN DO IT….and IF you can make it past at least the FIRST 3 days…the cravings WILL become less intrusive.
I PROMISE you.
THE Most High GOD & Jesus Christ OUR LORD (HE is REAL, no matter what the WORLD 🌎 says) MADE you RULER over ALL ‘things’ in/on this earth…including…the likes of sugar in ANY form.
Watch a few videos on what sugar ACTUALLY does to your mind & body and you will see the urgency.
This ma’am-is coming from a woman who added sugar to everything that was ALREADY loaded with sugar because it just wasn’t sweet enough.
YOU GOT THIS.
And don’t let anybody abuse you with words or crush your self-esteem.
They forget, that they HAVE loved ones and children that they deeply care for in their lives.

It’s causing the most problems for all of us. Cut out sugar and carbs and see if you feel better. Best of luck!
Fantastic breakdown! Thank you! My husband and I are starting on Saturday 🎉
@anthonychaffeemd
So I have a question about garlic. I understand you say all vegetables are bad (which I’m beginning to see why they are), but let’s say you have parasites. Is it still that toxic to incorporate garlic into your diet (carnivore diet) even if it’s for the purpose of repelling/killing off the micro-parasites?
Just perfect video... respect from Pakistan 🎉
❤ But there's a massive difference between meat from grocery stores and meat from a knowledgeable pastured raising farmer. ❤
Grocery store you get 60 pound for 300$.
I’m one of those farmers, and blessed to have an unlimited amount of meat at my consumption
True, but any meat is better than seed oils, sugar, junk food.
Thank you for covering the 💩 aspect of this. That is one of my biggest questions since I have IBS and eating different foods changes the consistency so drastically. It’s hard to keep up with it. So thank you so much for making this is simplest “how-to” video I’ve rever seen.
I’m 4 days in and I’m noticing it all ready my connection with the food feels natural ,it’s like my body is saying finally I’m getting the good stuff, every meal tastes so good I’m dropping fat and I’m sleeping good (I started this because I know the government are poisoning us by any means I felt the urge to go carnivore , Im never looking back plus I workout I feel like an animal
🙌🏻 Wow!! *THIS ONE MINUTE VIDEO* is packed literally with _everything_ needed to get started and do this diet!!! 🎉🎉
How much potassium and magnesium do we need on carnivore? I find difficult to get enough potassium on this diet, maybe potassium salt would help.
Thank you so straight and informative ❤
best short in history
Great advice. Simple and to the point. I wish I had heard this a while back.
About 90% of meat is edible, about 90% of plants are inedible. Humans were made to eat meat.
Thank you for this. Just learning and simple, uncomplicated is appreciated. Cheers.
The only doctor who will tell you: don't eat your veggies, and eat all the meat your want.
Cos he isn't brainwashed like the big pharma doctors
As long as it’s grass fed
@@jammin6816 Incorrect. Grain fed meat is still abundantly healthier than sugar and carbs. I’d choose veina sausages and sardines over sugar and vegetables and I’m not kidding about that
@@julienfroidevaux1143 This isn’t even an argument anymore. Plants are not even close to being the most nutrient dense food. They are good for one off medications and ointments, specifically because of the toxic compounds they contain.
@@julienfroidevaux1143 You do you booboo.
Thank you doctor 🙏
Dr. Chafee, bryan johnson is a guy who spent 2 million a yr to reverse aging. His diet is almost vegan bc his team of researchers found that to be optimal. What are your thoughts?
IMHO Johnson is illustrating the opposite of the natural, simple, species-specific diet that Chaffee eats and teaches. If it took several million to get healthy, that isn't a sustainable lifestyle for human beings.
Just watched dr cywas saying when we eat we only need to replenish what we’ve used up since we last ate. Such good advice too. I think it was episode 296. These guys are so amazingly informed. Better than most on social media.
Alcohol is also a no no. It’s loaded with carbs
Distilled spirits (vodka, whiskey, rum, gin, tequila) have zero carbs.
Clear enough to understand our needs in our body, thank you, Doc well explained
Hey Doc, are you familiar with Aajonous Vonderplanitz? He was a nutritionist that advocated for a raw animal based diet with excellent results. Would love to hear your thoughts on that.
Kind of a quack, though was ahead of his time
@@t-rozbenouameur5304 Mind elaborating on why you think that?
Well said!👍🏻🙌🏻🙏
Stopping when it stops tasting good is a real thing!!
The only thing that's ever overridden that was smoking weed 😂
yes i experience the same thing too!
Oooo.... I love this guy! Right to the point. Thank you!
I think I know why I'm stuck at 204 on keto, I started eating salads with my steaks.
“Nature is natural. It just happens all on its own.” 🥲 beautiful.
Thank u lord I have been so stressed u made it simple God bless u brother I appreciate u
1 month on carnivore...haven't lost much weight but I lost over 3 inches on my waist .
Ignore the scale and stick to your measurements. Body composition is the thing.
Love it! Nature is the best 👍🏽 what about cheese? Thanks for this video!
Lots of carnivores eat cheese. It is an animal product.
I love simple ❤ however, I’m still fatigued.
i found not all of us can just "eat meat" and feel great, my body outright refused this diet and still is to a degree, im constantly trying to experiment to see what exactly i can eat on carnivore that it will agree with.
So dont feel bad that u dont feel like superman as Dr Anthony did in the beginning, i am also feeling like hell on earth many times on the diet but im still trying to make it work
Adding electrolytes was the game changer for me. I use a powder and sprinkle it on my food as a seasoning. Energy levels through the roof
@@piperuk5366 I tried that
I use LMNT and I don’t think that’s the problem but thank you
@@thedoomslayer5863 how long have you been carnivore ?
Thank you and to the point
Bacon?
Bacon is great. He eats bacon.
Yeah bacon is good! Just take a look at the ingredients and make sure it has as little additives and sugar as possible. Get naturally cured with no added sugar if possible. Although this is hard to come by sometimes.
@@anthonychaffeemd ok, thanks. I just really love bacon and eggs!
There it is. Plain and simple. In a nutshell. Thanks, Doc!
While this is incredibly useful and likely applicable for many I'd like to just make one amendment
For some people like myself the "just eat meat" is too vague.
I wish I could have been warned by some with much experience on safe ways to start for those who's bodies might outright reject this way of eating if not done in a very specific way
The only advice I can give to those who unfortunately were not blessed to feel amazing day 1 just eating meat like myself is experiment a lot and when you begin to feel REALLY bad break it eat the carbs till you feel normal again then try again but with a different approach
This has been the only way I haven't completely and utterly given up on the carnivore diet yet
It takes 6 to eight weeks to change over.Meat seafood eggs.Eat as much as you want.
Quoting sugar and carbs was easy after all that
I dont know how long your streaks were but id really try to just hold on to it for a few weeks. Its not gonna kill you
@@garymichael8591 "eat as much as you want" didnt work for me brother, id end up nauseated to the point where i didnt even trust myself to drive my car to work, my body just was going absolutely bonkers. I had to do a week, see what i did such as fat to protein ratio and what i ate go back to carbs and fruit for a day or two to become normal again then try again with a different way. My last attempt i at least didnt feel so weak and nauseated but i did reach a point of "meat aversion" where i would take a couple of bites of my meat, eggs and bacon and literally want to throw it up, like i did not even want to imagine myself eating it.
so maybe theres a very specific way i have to go about it to not feel the weakness, lethargy and nausea but also avoid the hating what i eat to the point of wanting to throw it up out of disgust
safe to say im not like chaffee where i "just ate meat" and felt amazing day 1 and better and better after. for me this will be a VERY challenging road it would seem
Its called withdrawal
