I know my own family, and at thanksgiving wondering why I don't eat the pie and ice cream and various other sugary and bread additions. I lost weight on Thanksgiving night, just eating the prime rib which was tough, but that made me eat less. I've gone from 202 lbs to 182 lbs in 25 days, can't seem to go lower cause I've resumed adding muscle working out after Covid on Halloween.

I will eat exactly what my body truly craves and stay away from the modernized food, pharma and professionals advice. Since I've been eating a high protein, Himalayan salt ground by myself, 4 whole farm eggs per morning , VERY limited sugar diet (limited to only honey, with comb or cane sugar with a natural fiber together), My dandruff has vanished, my rashes are gone, I'm no longer itchy, my arthritis is 100% gone, i've lost almost all my excess weight, i've gained muscle without actively working out, my stool has never been better, my asthma is gone. The list truly goes on.
I no longer trust what this world says. I appreciate your video.

I love to cook and enjoy what people have tried to tell me is an unhealthy amount of meat in my diet for over 30yrs. When I started feeding my father on a daily basis the same exact things I eat, I had everybody advising me against feeding him any red meat specifically. He lost over 30lbs. his skin color drastically changed, and most noticable of all, was the swollen look his face had disappeared! He looks 10 yrs. younger and really enjoys eating now! @@bibsp3556 right.
The arguments of vegans who do it for moral reasons come from a place of ignorance, because crop harvesting kills off many animals as well.
Then we have those who do it for health reasons. You can also say that comes from a place of ignorance when they’re eating processed meat substitutes filled with “natural flavors” and seed oils. But then you have the raw vegans who often times give actual truths to their arguments as to why they choose to eat that way, which is for health. The majority of vegans aren’t raw vegans though, at least from what I’ve seen.

I did well on it at first because I wasn't eating all the processed garbage. However, as fake meats and other crap came out, I tried them, they were tasty, and my health declined. I found channels like this, and realized that when I had started being vegan, it wasn't the meat that was causing me to be sick, it was all the crap that was put in sauces, etc. with the meat. So, I started eating minimally processed veggies, then added cheeses, and finally added meat back in. I've lost weight and feel MUCH better, and am undoing all the years of damage I'd done by not eating a proper human diet. Yet, just today a Mayo lipidologist counseled me to cut way back on saturated fat and red meat. Basically, he was suggesting that I revert back to the low-fat (high carb (which is high sugar)) diet I'd practiced for 25 years and that got me heart disease! Once in ketosis you feel like a kid with the way your brain starts clicking. Maybe placebo but i feel sharper and energy levels are pretty much steady throughout the day unlike the crashes i had on carbs. Exercise was more difficult in the beginning but it could also be the heat in the Philippines being 87 degrees f when i run. I'm now several weeks into this experiment and i am quite happy with the way i feel. The lack of brain fog in the morning is worth it alone. I've dropped about 4lbs and I'm looking leaner. So far so good

I feel this has to do with genetics, white folks have eaten more meat because of the region and the resources available to them. Brown and black people are way different because of the region they live in mainly in sub-tropics, there are abundant amounts of vegetation and fruits and their DNA is able to process and eat plant based foods and there is proof most; brown and black people can't digest milk unlike our white brother and sisters were they can digest it easily and how most pure blood white people can't eat peanuts or others plants because they'll die and that sucks but if you're evolved to eat both you are lucky :) that's why some people can have excellent results on plant based and or meat based its all scientific and your molars tell you exactly what foods you are designed to eat aswell 😉

Now, I have only eaten beef for three weeks and not once have I craved the greens. I agree that it’s frustrating. I’m eating carnivore now, but was whole food plant based prior. I honestly miss my plant foods and I never craved meat. But I feel as if carnivore/meat is more appropriate for my genetics and it’s legit the only way I can ever lose weight, which in turn helps me feel so much better. I honestly just look better eating carnivore which I feel like says something.
My biggest concern with carnivore is potassium. I try to eat fish daily to get some. I’ve experienced low potassium before by going low carb and it’s awful! I don’t do well with potassium supplements and I always felt really relaxed with lots of potassium-filled plant foods previously.
But anyway, sometimes you just have to do what feels good to you. Go with your gut. And also, life ebbs and flows. If you can’t do something at the moment, maybe it would work for you in the future. I’m trying to not think too hard about it all and go with the flow!

Before, I would get those cravings for mashed potatoes, fries or candy,/pastry). That NEVER happens anymore. I can walk passed the pastry section of the super market, passed all kinds of cakes and cookies, and not feel a thing. As long as I am feeling full on meat, I actually dont think about food at all. I also lost about 30 lbs while I gained a couple of lbs of muscles (I am not a skinny or obese guy but rather muscular).
And with "non-strict", I mean that I sometimes eat some fruit, carrots or have a beer/drink etc. Basically, I dont even call it a "diet" since I dont refuse myself to eat something I wanna eat. I just wanna eat meat with very little cravings for other things hehe

The more I really dig and research, the more I'm finding that vegetables are completely unnecessary in the human diet. So are fruits. So are grains. So many of the additional vitamins and minerals they claim we need, we only need because of all that other stuff we eat that we don't need. For example, it turns out that if you don't eat any green leafy vegetables, your body doesn't require any vitamin C supplements. It's like everything we're eating requires us to eat something else to counter act what it's doing to our body. The human body doesn't require citric acid, and it's only benefit was to prevent scurvy in sailors who were eating hardtack, which is just a super dehydrated wheat biscuit, for weeks and months at a time.
It was also determined a very long time ago that people living in the desert could survive healthily on nothing but Camel Milk and Dates, with no deficiencies in anything. The Norther Arctic tribes like Eskimos have never eaten a single green thing or fruit, ever, because it doesn't grow where they live. They survive 100% on meat, and they're healthy. This food and diet crap has always been about business.

I keep hoping Dr. Berry would do a video addressing seniors and the benefits of a carnivore lifestyle for the elderly. Seniors have a lot of fears around carnivore and the thought of perhaps leaving their prescribed medications behind.

I cut bacon into lardons and fry with some onion and the liver season with salt, pepper, and some dried thyme. Delicious. I don’t eat much of the onion. There’s lots of great pate receipes. I’ve been making it for 50 years using a generous amount of garlic and salt, some onion, brandy, thyme, black pepper, and blitzed in a food processor with an almost equal amount of melted butter. Pass through a sieve, allow to chill and pour over even more melted butter. In past years, I also put in the flesh of an apple. Since carnivore, I omit the apple and add a few drops of liquid stevia and a hint of ACV for brightness. Enjoy with Wisps or slices of bias cut zucchini. Wine, anyone? Only a tiny bit.

I was on Tricor (Fenofibrate) and other lipid-lowering medicines for over 20 yrs to no avail. I've never been obese but just after starting the modified carnivore diet in December (I eat eggs, cheese and some veggies), my high cholesterol and tryglicerides are back to normal, no prescriptions! My VA Dr. asked me what I was doing different so I told her. Her response was that, what I was doing was 'dangerous' but she couldn't refute the results with any convincing explanation as all my CBC and Vitamin panels show EVERYTHING in the normal. Obviously, she want to retest in a month and I can't wait to see the results myself. I also lost 25 lbs I didn't know I could lose, lol. My sleep pattern is fixed, I'm able to sleep 8 hrs straight and no longer have to take an afternoon nap to make it to the end of the day and, my joints don't hurt as much as before. Dear Dr. Berry , I just wanted to say thank you for all of your help and information. Because of you I started the carnivore diet August 11th and so far I've lost 30 pounds. I was pre diabetic , out of breath walking short distances , and my blood pressure was through the roof . I'm happy to report that all of those things have changed for the better. Having a very bad back and hips, I needed to get the weight off of my joints. All other diets failed. For whatever reason I found it very hard to follow them and cheated a lot .I believe it was because I kept finding myself feeling hungry in between meals and I am a good cook and love food. With carnivore since I can eat whenever I want, I'm always full. Pork rinds and bacon and eggs are my new ice cream and cookies. I'm not going to lie , I have cheated twice since I started. Once was random because my nephew tempted me with these cookies I love and once on this Thanksgiving. However I got right back on the horse and I'm fine. I never noticed before how much my body swells up or bloats up when I eat carbs , it's unbelievable 😳. So thanks again. God bless

I've gotten back on the wagon, and although I didn't get back up to the 260's , I am up in the 240's range . It's terrible. More than ever I realize the importance of getting to a healthy weight. Can't deny that I am not still nervous about the LDL thing. I have been dealing with a skin condition for 17 years and nothing has done any good. I refuse to do biologics after Humaira made me ill. Over the past two years I found out about fasting/keto. I have watched so many of your videos.. I am not full blown keto more like moderate carb. I have managed to loose 67 lbs and keep it off. Some of my skin tags went away but my psoriasis stayed the same. Migraines/joint pain/nerve pain reduced a lot but psoriasis remains. As with any diet, sometimes you will have friends and family that strangely won't support you. They'll have negative things to say to try and discourage you. I've had a couple of 'friends' who would have things to say, like when you order something low carb and healthy, they'll say, 'are you trying to make ME look bad with what I ordered? Like WHAT? It's almost as if they feel threatened by you for improving yourself!

As far as short term immediate digestive changes- I’ve been testing carnivore for about 10 days now, and my poops are literally the healthiest I’ve ever seen them. No diarrhea (which I normally get eating fruit & veg)…long solid logs one time per day like clockwork. I was kind of shocked! I usually get gas constantly…no gas so far eating only eggs, butter, and beef. While I am still skeptical of the long term impact, I can’t just write this off, and I am doing my research. 👍

Two things happened about the same time for me, I went from a high physical activity lifestyle to a employment position of mostly sitting. I gained about 50 pounds of inflammation on my body.I couldn’t diet the inflammation away, so I went to an internist, after many expensive blood tests and procedures; her end diagnosis was obese with high blood pressure. Never once did she offer any advice how to help me rid myself of this painful inflammation. I started doing my own research, yes I played doctor. eventually, I found Dr. Barry and followed his advice started the carnivore diet and have since lost 20 pounds almost effortlessly. And I believe her saved my life. I am on several blood pressure medicines and I was on a completely no salt, sodium of any kind the doctor says if I have any it will kill me. I found now that I can have salt in my meats and I like making chili with canned tomato sauce and canned tomato paste in canned diced tomatoes and( Oh my goodness they’re all loaded with salt) LOL and I’ve been feeling great. I am not a wealthy man and I can’t afford a lot of the high-end meats but I’ve switched over to eating meats and I feel great I just want to say thank you I appreciate your information and I have shared your videos and information with so many people. They do laugh at me and say this is all propaganda and I tell him believe what they want they can see how much weight I’ve lost. Which I’ve actually lost 70 pounds in six months. So thank you, thank you, thank you and God be with you and bless you. Please keep making the great videos.

but I guess once the metabolism adjusts my gut will normalize. Might be because I'm still
drinking coffee in the morning.. Bought an air fryer and so far it is the perfect way to cook meat in the house. My goal is to just get and stay healthy. I look around and see so many who are lifelong carb addicts and see all the maladies they endure...heartbreaking. ..(literally)...
