Congrats Gary Green. I am glad you are being recognized like this, all official like... thanks for sharing this. Today Princeton Illinois, tomorrow the World!
Great to see my old friend Gary being honoured by his adopted town of Princeton and it was so funny to hear the story of of how Ailsa (the dog I gave to him, Judy and Chris) took a dump in front of Joe Strummer in the studio. Ailsa was well known for her huge dumps. 😂😂
I have nothing against Princeton Illinois, but I was just wondering how Gary Green ended up there? I've been there and it's not the place you would expect to find a legendary British prog Guitarist.
He’s the nicest guy. I think it had to do with his wife ending up there. He seems happy. If you hang around the guitar shop in town you’ll probably bump in to him, or people that know him. Nice town
@@aspirationsthegentlegiantp5362 Cool, thanks for commenting so quickly, I used to go there relatively often, because I had cousins and an aunt and uncle that used to live there. Now I'll have to ask them if they knew Gary, I know my one cousin was a drummer and was actually a pretty big fan of Genesis at some point. I wonder if he was aware of the Prog legend that lived right by him.
Saw him with m'y family in Quebec city probably 6 or 7 years ago with thé band Three Friends. He came to speak with us After the show and takes pictures. Very "gentle " guy ! A humble man , very easy to speak with.
Gary, you are one of the best and truly miss all of the G GIANT music and the rest of the gang. Saw you in Springfield Mass years ago. You guys opened for Focus.Half way through the Focus set,we ALL were calling for GG to come back on stage❤
Congratulations Gary! Nice to see you and Judy and to meet your son!

A brilliant guitarist from a brilliant band.
He certainly is one of the most innovative guitarists in prog-rock… We love you Gary.
Congratulations Gary Green! You deserve it!
WELL DONE GARY YOUR A LEGEND
About time the guy got the recognition he's long deserved. His playing always put some real bite into Gentle Giant's music.
Outstanding guitarists! I was lucky enough to see play with Gentle Giant and 3 Friends!
Congrats to one of my favorite guitarists in my favorite band of all time!
Congratulations Gary! And well said, regarding the importance of Art. Thank you for yours.
Did a few NearFests with Gary! We had a great time hanging out over the weekends. This is so nice to see him get his Star.
A very sweet moment in Gary’s life and richly deserved!
Well deserved Gary! You’ve given so many of us such joy over the years! You’re looking great also!
Most people have no idea that he's the genius behind the riff in "Little Brown Bag"!
Wow I may have to see that
Congrats GARRY !...you along with all time members of Gentle Giant , you are very loved in Romania ,from the beginning and forever...
Gary Green...one of the greats from one of the greatest prog bands of all time. Oh, for a time machine...
Gary Green's "home town" is
Stroud Green, North London, England - N4!!
Hometown ??? I Thought he was British !! 🧐 😄 🎶
Recognition at last! You deserve a big star just for your five (?) bar solo in "Boys in the Band"!
Viva la buena música carajo!!! Todos mis respetos, para el maestro Gary Green!!!

Awesome! Truly a star and appreciated!
Did he sell his green giant jersey to the guy who did Blues Clues??
Now some stars for the other guys too, starting with Ray?
They deserve recognition for sure.
