My favourite Giant song of them all! You got everything spot on: each instrument, how they are recorded and mixed, and especially the vocal, which is perfectly pitched and movingly expressed. This brought tears to my eyes, not only due to the song's beautiful warm melancholy but also my nostalgia for those halcyon days when youth was mine and the greatest band ever to grace a stage did just that! I had the giant fortune to see them live only once (in 1976) and it was the most amazing musical experience of my life! You took me back there. Thanks so much, you wonderful people!

Just like "Raconteur, Troubadour" - you guys did a fine job.
Just one point - it is hard to match Kerry´s singing. His voice alone is very unique and fits perfectly into this song.
When I first heard "Aspirations" back in the seventies - and I already had heard many tunes from Gentle Giant at the time - I sincerely thought : ok, now I understand - they can do just everything I´m able to imagine and I can expect from them anything I´m not able to imagine. A music cosmos without any limits.
It was an almost heavenly idea derived from this truly heavenly beautiful, shining song.
I admit that may sound heavily over the top. But the truth is - I wasn´t stoned at all.
This tune different of the original recording it’s perfect!! So calm and precise interpretation!!

Love the quiet different jazzy groove of the keyboard and this smooth voice (etc , etc..) a dead set méga great cover of my fav. Band when i was 16 or 17 years of age (posters and photos taken at their concert here in Belgium covered the walls of my teenage bedroom !.. Long live the Spirit of the gentle GIANT...
