I am 64 now and my younger brother is 62--I first heard of GG when I went to the UK to watch Wishbone Ash in Manchester 1971--all the way from Canada that was. My brother and I plus our friends always thought your dad and uncles were the best musicians. We saw GG twice in Toronto at Massey Hall--they brought the house down. Brilliant group and music--god bless them. I had a poster size shot of your Dad singing in Toronto.

Say thanks to your father for unbelievable music that him and the others GG have created in that years. Everyday I search video of his performances. Probably the best underrated band of all times.

Ha ha ha ha!!!! I felt so alone in he seventies, listening to stuff like that, but today I'm happy to heur youngsters around the world revive an play those masterpieces, leaving the mediocrity of the seventies in oblivion. OBRIGADO!

This is the first time I have EVER seen anyone dare to cover a Gentle Giant tune...I mean piece.
People who haven't heard the original Gentle Giant must have found that a very surreal piece. Heck, I've heard the original Gentle Giant and I still find it surreal. Great rendition!

I love how you staged it to bring out the antiphonal aspects of the piece, and also seems to accentuate the contrasting styles within it - rock, contemporary classical, and even a little jazz.
I REALLY enjoyed it.

The conductor is Vivian Assis. All the singers and players are music students of an Arts School named "CEFAR" from "Palácio das Artes" (an important brazilian theater). This was a concert from "CEFAR" in 2008.

I do believe GG will become more popular now than 40 to 50 years ago. Zappa was always right about them. Great job by the way.
Hey, hey, hey..great!!!!! I hope some of the GG boys see this, and realize, as if they need to, that their music is not only still alive, but growing in popularity!!! Seems some people are bored stiff of today's unimaginative music..

Your dad was great and part of music history, one of the main composers (in this case, quite sure the intertwined convoluted fuguish style passages must have been created by Kerry Minnear), he was brilliant. The whole band members were like clockwork, Gentle Giant was unique, and fabulous. Bravo for this very cool interpretation

Almost on the same level as Zappa. You see more and more recognition for this amazing band which I myself only recently discovered. So I bought nearly all of their albums.
The sound was not so great, but it is so wonderful to see these young people doing a Gentle Giant song. I loved it.

This was a beautiful performance. Very true to bother the music and the spirit of Gentle Giant. This is such an advanced an unusual choice for students to perform and they performed it like professionals. Bravo!
