I don't get why so many people hate this ride. It's very clever and the experience is very enjoyable. Definitely deserves more respect.
The most underrated ride at Disney. Brilliantly crafted and thoroughly exciting. It's not so much what you see, but what you hear, and what you don't see.
This ride scared the living hell out of me. But OF COURSE the three year old on the ride with us LOVED it

I wish they made a sequel I don't know why people don't bother to ignore it's like they don't have no reasons anymore.. the last thing I wanted was a sequel and another right somewhere around these Disney parks.

This ride was awesome and I loved Animal Kingdom. Also this is the first place ever that I saw a full carnotaurus skeleton up close...
This ride made my childhood complete. The jerking around of the vehicle just made everything That much more terrifying. I had trouble looking at the second carnotaurus.
I remember me being close to the second caranotaurs like it was so loud and scary I legit almost passed out

+Benjamin Shamel There is a giant roar scene at 8:20. That makes me over dramatic to see the Carnotaurus hunt us down and do a giant roar. I felt like that Carnotaurus was going to eat me like I was his food. Aladar and Seeker had to save the day before meteors were blowing up as if the asteroid impact destroyed most life forms on earth several million years ago.

The red yellow and white tubes have chemical equations on them. They are the equations for ketchup mustard and mayonnaise

DISNEY DINOSAURE RIDE VERY COOL THERE !!!
I remember when I went on this ride on a family vacation during 2006 (I was about 10 at that time). The main part I remember was when the two Carnotauruses are "hunting/following" you and when you see Aladar on the screen at the end. I was sitting on the left side of the car, so I remember specifically seeing one of the Carnotauruses close up. But as for me, I grew up liking dinosaurs, like a lot of kids do, and I also liked this movie, so overall, I had liked this ride, I just don't remember my initial reaction.
Hearing the theme/opening song just brings back memories for seeing the movie. To me, it is a great theme.
For anyone who is going to say there are four different Carnotauruses, I am just going off the movie, where there are two of them. Sure I know there would be more in that movie's time period, but like I said, I am going off the two Carnotauruses that were seen in the movie.
Three different carnotaurs actually, I don’t know heck no body knows how long a dinosaur’s lifespan is but I do know that the carnotaur seen at the very beginning may very well have been long dead by the time Aladar grew up therefore leading the two carnotaurs seen later in the movie it’s children so to speak

Passing by the Carnitaurous when I went on this ride as a kid scared the crap out of me, it probably still would today XD

This is one of my all time favorite rides at Disney World at the Animal Kingdom! I just LOOOVE it!!!! I looove the way this video is set up and definitely looove the music! This video for this ride was set up very nice and clear! LOOOVE IT!

That ride at Disney world is both scary and yet fun! It's about going back in time to the dinosaur era to save Aladar the Igaunodon before the asteroid! I love the part with the Carnotaurus at 8:18 when he scares the people.
this is by far the best POV of this out there! I wish it was returned to the original theming though.
I wish it would go back, but children were coming off the ride crying, So it sucks they removed things from it.
With a recent update, one thing from the old Countdown to Extinction that returned was the netting effect on Aladar. And the Compys are now shown fleeing from the asteroids instead of strobing light effects of them jumping over the vehicle.
I would say Aladar had a good time and I used to ride this ride but the ride was way too bumpy and choppy. The other Dinos were getting to close to any passenger plus the Allioramus was eating a crocodile like creature. Like Jurassic Park you can see a Raptor nearby. It's dark and scary and there are lots of raging thunderstorms projected in the ride and lots of loud roaring. Most of these projections and the loud massive monster roars often come from any scene of the ride when the Carnotaurus tries to hunt us down and then later at 8:20 that could make Pumba and girls even with any roar from any carnivorus monster do loud high pitched screaming A GIANT ROAR!!!!!
So many good memories on this ride with my family. It's usually the first ride we head to when we go to Animal Kingdom. I first rode it back when it was called Countdown to Extinction years ago. Can't wait to go again.
I went on this last year and I was thinking, "It's like Indiana jones at Disneyland, nothing to be scared off." but then we got on the ride and it was even louder than the video shows and the dinosaurs are closer than you'd expect. I got stuck on the left side of the car and when it stopped next to the t-Rex head and then one was running toward the car I was close to crying. But all in all it is one of my favorite rides a disneyworld. :)

I first went on this ride when I was six. My mom covered my eyes for the entire ride, so all I could hear was screaming and roaring. It was wonderful to know what the heck was going on~!!!

when my family went to disney world i sat on the side of the car where they have the giant t-rex head peeking out of the trees. The freaking thing was literally only a foot away from my face and when it roared I screamed so loud I think the whole park heard me! It was a very fun ride though but after that I made my mom or my dad sit on that side of the car! :)
I screamed like crazy on this ride and I won't tell how old I was. It's pretty amazing.

When I went here last August, we went on this ride while it was raining, and I was scared out of my mind. >.< In the picture I was hunching down with my eyes closed and my sister (22 years old) was clinging onto my arm screaming and looking at the dinosaur. My dad was practically the only one who wasn't freaked out. He was just looking straight forward with a neutral expression on his face ROFL XD

This ride is SOOOO SCARY! I went to Disney for a class trip in 8th grade .. (I'm a sophomore in HS now) .. and this ride scared the shit out of me and like 10 of my friends who rode it with me .. Sigh .. I've been paranoid of indoor attractions ever since.

I was put on this when I was 3. I was scared to death and cried. A lot. Then my mom bought me a Mickey mouse ice-cream and we watched a parade.
I remember this ride, I went on this on my senior class trip. I was awesome. Everything was loud exactly like the video. I don't understand why the ride was so dark. lol thanks for posting.

I could'nt keep my eyes open on this ride until i was like 12. But it's still one of my favorites
It was a show revolving around utilizing senses other than sight to create something terrifying. It revolved around a carnivorous alien assaulting guests in total darkness, using special effects to really play around with the senses of hearing and (especially) touch. It's not really able to be fully summed up in a single comment, it just had to be seen (er, felt).
Stitch is essentially the same system, but heavily toned down to the point of taking all the excitement of the original out.

I was just on this ride the week of August 12, 2012. It was scary and we rode it twice, BUT, unfortunately, when robots break down on Disney rides, they are not repairing them. Several Dinosaurs no longer move, including the big dinosaur eating the little one! And it was actually lying on the ground in the dark! My daughter was so disappointed.
For some that Dino that looked very scary keeps coming back
