Who in their right mind(s) could give this gentleman and his recipes and techniques, and the resulting beautiful cobbler, a "thumbs down"???? You're amazing, John. Thank you.
Dieters?
I know,just love his videos!!!
It's the Westboro church group!
God hates apples!!!!!!
Yeah thumbs down is so silly, just observe the results, and he presents well.
This man has the sweetest personality. And everything he makes looks AMAZING!!!
Totally agree!!
It tastes amazing too! I've made a few of his recipes for family gatherings and you can't go wrong!
My German grandmother made this often. Thanks for bringing me back to those "good old" days🍁
I just tried it and it was arguably one of the loveliest things I've ever baked!! The family adored it, and we've still got leftovers to enjoy!
Y’all I tried this recipe today and it was soooo goood! I absolutely loved it and it made my kitchen smell lovely. 10/10 would recommend especially now since it’s fall. The recipe was supper easy to follow and I used golden delicious apples.
This is what we grew up calling an apple crisp. The "cobbler" my mom made put the batter in the bottom of the pan, layered the apples over the top. While it was baking the batter would rise through the apples creating a moist apple-flavored infused crust. Golden and crispy, with a juicy apple filling. Now I'm hungry! And this looks good enough to satisfy any craving.
Yes! I’ve been going nuts. Everybody is making an apple crumble and calling it a cobbler!
This recipe is amazingly good! Super easy to make and it’s fool proof. Had to cook it a lil longer because my oven is slow but the recipe was pretty much spot on.
John, this was truly AMAZING! My husband was over the moon with this! Thanks once more!
This is perfect every time I need to bake something I pray it’s on your channel 😂 I’ve made apple cobbler before but I’m excited to try your recipe next week!!
I’ve done this recipe like 4 times already and it’s always a success! Everyone loves it
I baked this today at the retirement home I occasionally work for and the grannies absolutely loved it!!!
Oh u made my day!! Your comment about the eager kitchen helper was perfect! I recently was given the blessing of almost 200 lbs of apples!!!!!! A blessing with a lot of labor to go with it!!! Sooooo now Every time someone comes over and says the magic words do u need some help I’m like yes....yes I do! I’ll bake up a pie for anyone but they need to help with the peeling right now! So far I’ve made apple butter, pies, applesauce, muffins, and more pies 🥧 I still have over 100 pounds left so half way there!! Keep the apple recipes coming please preppy kitchen!!! I’m making the recipe for your fritters this weekend 🥰
i’ve just made this and it’s literally amazing ! it’s so much more accurate than any other recipes and it was so easy. my family was fighting over it haha

Hoo wee wowzers!! Made the recipe and it’s a keeper I’ll tell you what, if you don’t have fancy ingredients this is the way to go! It tasted Dutch oveny, crispy outside, soft and plush inside, and the sugar topping cooked perfectly into this delicate, sweet, sugary, crispy coated yum! It was so good I couldn’t even tell I cooked it!
What a very fitting recipe for the season :-) can’t wait to try this recipe and especially can’t wait to see your new kitchen!! How exciting!
I like most of your recipes because the are so simple to make. Keep on cooking and sharing.
Omg I made it and it’s soooo gooood!! 🤩 I’m not a natural cook so I love and appreciate your clear instructions! Thank you!
Made this recipe tonight, Just used a different crumbled topping instead. It was delicious! But, I definitely recommend a little more corn starch to thicken the juice from the apples, and a little bit more sugar to balance the tart from the lemon. Thanks John!😊😋
I'm Greek too and you are so right about the lemons! Need them for everything
Love, LOVEEEEE, love, watching all of your videos. You’re so precious
Omg!! My mouth is so watery!! 😍😍😍 Thank you so much for all your delicious recipes!!!💞

Hello John This looks sooo good and I can't wait to make this . Thank you for sharing. So until next time God Bless you and have a Blessed weekend.
I've never seen the addition of lemon zest and juice, but I can't wait to try it Thanks for sharing!
I’ve been experimenting with cobblers this summer, using some of the fresh fruits founds at this time of year. My "topping" is more of a batter, sort of the consistency of pancake batter but with no eggs, just milk. I’ll put a stick of butter in the bottom of my 9x13" dish a put it in the oven to melt while I make the batter. Once the butter is melted, I’ll pour the batter in. I then top it all off with the fruit mixture (peach, blackberry, or a berry mixture).. when it bakes, the batter rises and surrounds all the fruit. It’s lovely and delicious, with the batter absorbing the juice from the fruit as it bakes, flavoring the batter perfectly.
I absolutely looove John's recipes! I been baking and cooking alot of his stuff and its so delicious! I was amazed with his icing and sugar cookie recipes made those for Halloween everyone loved them. I've always wanted to make a cobbler, I think I know which recipe I'll try now!
This was so delicious and easy to make too! Thank you John!!!!
So …. I did this yesterday and it was a star!!! Your name is already familiar in our family, so they are used with me trying out your recipes (not many, since i am not the best at cooking and/or baking), but this one I think impressed them most 🎉 thank you!!!
First video of yours I’ve watched and I’m already charmed by the chef and the end result. ❤️
I did it! it was so aromatic.... it made me remember of Panettone! totally recommended!
I make this and I add pears as well!thank you for sharing
Thanks, John. Definitely going to make this. I have only had cobbler on a few occasions and I don't like the thick gummy biscuit topping on the ones I've tasted. Mom used to make a cobbler and just lay her delicious pie crust on top. Yours looks devine. Definitely putting this one on my holiday entertaining menu.
I love your personality! Your recipes always look amazing !
Ooh! You make my day, I'll have to hide this one from everyone. Thanks, John! Happy Thursday.
You make cooking so funny, thank you! Waiting patiently for your peach cobbler 😋

Your apple cobbler looks so delicious. And vanilla ice cream on top. That's my favorite topping. Thanks for sharing. Have a great evening.
I like your apple cutting technique. I usually core, then slice. Your way is much easier and less frustrating.
Love Love Your recipes made my life easier, and my husband said thanks to you 😊
I tried this recipe and the apple cobbler was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! I have already made the cobbler 3 times in 2 weeks. Thank you for the great recipe and the extra pounds!😁

So many apple recipes!! Delicious!! 😊
Thank you for sharing this recipe... Waiting for mine in the oven right now... Almost done! I will get back to you soon on how it tasted hehe
When I was a kid, peeling the apples was always my job. I loved it because I was involved and my parents loved it because they didn't want to do it themselves.
Thank you so much for doing this! I went apple picking so now I need to cook them. I didn't know what to do, lol. This is going to be my first time baking 😋... good luck to me 😍😂😋🍏👍
I absolutely love this pole cobbler, I have never had one before. I really wished Australia had these amazing desserts and holiday desserts as a must. That looks so delicious, thank you John and look I’m Italian and we grew up doing the same
I'm from East Asia ( Hong Kong ) and all we get for dessert is some sort of sweet soup ...like ...I'll kill for an apple pie that's not from McDonald's, I've never had one before . We don't even have Graham crackers, granny Smith apples …? , and a bunch of other stuff...so trust me you life isn't that bad XD
Everything you make looks delicious😋
Finally someone did a video on apple cobbler! I'm from the south and have never liked peach cobbler. Well, I ate the cobbler and not the peaches. So I'm excited about making this! Thanks John! Btw the goats are adorable 🙂
Looks sooooo yummy! But I love the biscuit part too, so I am definitely doubling it! lol Thanks for another great recipe John! :)
