Here's the first two minutes of a brand new Tourniquet song called "The 408 Zodiac Cipher". The full song (with vocals) will appear on our upcoming album. We're happy to have Aaron Pace (Gazing at Medusa) on board mixing and mastering again. Thank you all for your patience as we work to bring this special album to you... - Ted (FYI - RUclips has recently added a feature to certain channels like ours called "Super Thanks". Aaron Guerra just posted on FB that this album will not be made. This makes Ted's passing even more somber. It is like he tried to say goodbye but was stopped midsentence.

According to the last post on Tourniquet's facebook, sounds like Ted wanted all of the pledges to be refunded. But I think all of us would love to see the music finalized...

@@JeffMcCormack777 never! will it die, that's a promise on the testimony of what good music it is, it will never fade as God never fades. It's music no others can touch when it's true, good rock / metal music.

Now THAT'S how TOURNIQUET is supposed to sound! Classical influence abounds, tight, precise rhythms, SICK double bass, crunchy, gritty, dirty guitar jams. Definitely fits right in with the 'Beethoven meets Frankenstein' motif. This whole song should be included as a bonus instrumental on the album.
RIP Ted. Loved your music. Have been a fan since Stop the Bleeding. Cant wait to meet you in heaven, brother.

Found out about Tourniquet when the Carry the Wounded album came out. I was a young teenager and have been a fan ever since. My absolute favorite Christian band. So sorry to hear of Ted’s passing. Christian metal will never be the same. RIP Ted, from one drummer to another, your mastery of the drums continues to inspire me. I hope our paths cross in Heaven. Really hope whatever was recorded for this last album becomes available, it would be a nice tribute.
Very good! They got my attention. I like how Ted has picked up the tempo on this one and continued to incorporate his trademark classical music passages.
I just hope the vocals match it.

Not new to the genre, but I can't believe I slept on this band and other people didnt mention them to me! Classical and Thrash/Heavy Metal are 2 of my favorite genres, so I love the Frankenstein/Beethoven label fitting for this EXTREMELY UNDERRATED BAND!!

Can’t wait for the new album...but I guess I have to. In the meantime, a re-visit of the complete back catalog is in order to prepare my ears and soul for what I’m sure will be another masterpiece to add to the collection. I’ve been a fan since the first album and everyone around me was a fan shortly after that. Tourniquet is one of the few elite quality bands to stand tall coming out of the 80s Christian Metal onslaught. I only have a handful of favorites that I keep returning to and Tourniquet is right up there on my Mount Rushmore of favorite bands. Keep Christ at the center. God bless and Metal on!

I just came back to listen to the song and I've found out from other comments about Ted. I can't believe that. My deep condolences to all family & friends. I'm so sad and started crying. I just didn't expect that. Have a nice time up there Ted Kirkpatrick. An exceptional artist and true lover of nature. We'll miss you.
