I’m really happy to see that you all seem to like this one👊 Much love and respect and it’s always for you🙏 Can’t wait for you to hear the entire album!! Michael Sweet
There's not a single 80's hair band today that can match Stryper in terms of quality output after all these years. I mean, they just keep ascending, not resting on past successes, and have not only kept their sound, but have dramatically improved it, rather than degrading like so many other 80's bands. They are truly in a class by themselves now, and deserve a place in the Rock and Roll HOF along with the Heavy Metal HOF induction.
As long as God can use him to spread the word, & he is surrendered to the Lord's will in his life, Michael will be able to belt out those screams. It is amazing. It is God!!!!
@@novrahadi8568 That's right. While a lot of the other bands of the 80s indulged in drugs and alcohol, Stryper made a point to stay clear of that lifestyle. There were some other artists and bands that chose to not get involved with the party part of the industry.
I hope it's legit and not auto tune. I can accept aging singers losing their range, but I struggle with vocalists who lie to me by using studio software to adjust their vocal capabilities and presenting it as something its not. Lots of that going on in all genres these days.
I've always loved metal. I am a new Christian, I was baptized about a month ago. This was the first Stryper song I listened to. This music has changed my life completely. The energy, combined with the scripture (Isaiah 53:5) they have chosen as their motto, has helped me truly understand the suffering Jesus went to as he sacrificed himself for us. Before this, I still struggled with truly putting my faith in Jesus as I am a scientifically/analytically oriented person. But the energy of this music me helped me truly understand his pain and suffering, ultimately leading to me repenting, giving myself up and offering myself as a loyal servant to our lord and savior, and praying in tongues for the first time. Those high pitched multi-octave screams (0:15) shake me to the very core of my soul. This level of energy, in the purpose of exalting Jesus Christ, is a harmonic composition which in tandem with the word of God leads to the plasmification and deliverance of my soul. Unique, exceptional, wonderful. Thank you Stryper. Thank you Michael Sweet. God bless you all.
Fucking Hell! I Love Stryper since the 80's and they are a reason why I' m a Guitarist since 30 Years..but they are not getting older, they' re getting fucking more and more Iconic 🙏🤘🏻
To be honest this is the first song I've listened to by them. Better late to the party I guess but I'm glad I gave this a chance I've got a lot of songs to research and listen to now.
Almost 40 years and I can't think of another band that can has a singer like this, and plays so tight. Amazing, God given talent that they didn't abuse.

Robert Sweet here reminds me of a Petra interview where, I think their keyboard player said of their Drummer Louie weaver, " I don't know man, when YOU BEAT ON THINGS FOR A LIVING!!! That's gotta do something to ya!" Lol, keep going guys, glad to see you still Rocking for the Lord all these years later. Heaven is going to be a blast for sure!!

Yes Michael and team...great song here....im 50 and a fan since 15. Im on the edge of the edge now...and needed to hear this...and to remind of the message. Pray for me. Thanks guys.
My first Stryper cassette was To Hell with the Devil. In fact that was my very first cassette ever purchased. I was 10 and used my allowance to get it.
I remember reading an article decades ago where Michael said "we're not a Christian rock band, we're a rock band that happens to be Christians". This song really brings that statement into the light!! What a great jam!!
Holy smokes! Stryper is one of those rare bands that are consistently great across time and space. Michael's vocals are distinctive and strong as ever, great songwriting and a tight outfit as always. I love being a Stryper fan!
Man... still shredding after all these years and that voice. nothing like it in all of metal. I joined a Christian metal/rock group a couple weeks ago and found out Stryper was still very much active. Last cd I had bought was "In God We Trust" but this band was a HUGE influence on my earlier Christian walk. Amazing.
Gotta say....I am impressed. This may be the best they ever sounded. Those guitar and bass tones are just cutting edge hard. Drums are blazing. Vocals...well they speak for themselves
Wow! How many 80's metal bands are putting out new material? Stryper is still progressing, while staying true to the hair metal genere, and kicking total ass! Sweets voice is amazing! It's almost gotten better with age.
Are from the early 80's AND STILL WRITING NEW MUSIC!!! HOW MIRACULOUS IS THAT?! Looking for a miracle look at STRYPER! And if this had been written in 1984 EVERYBODY BACK THEN WOULD'VE ACCEPTED IT AS TRUE 80's metal, They haven't betrayed their original 80's sound AT ALL, vocally or any other way, fabulous and globally unique!
Along with several other posts - I just have to agree - Stryper has not only KEPT their metal edge and great rock sound...they have steadily IMPROVED over the years...this is simply AMAZING to behold - God has truly blessed these guys !!!!!
Visually stunning, lyrics are pure fire, guitars bass & drums are thunderous, and the vocals/screams are jaw dropping!! Standing ovation for the legendary Christian rockers, STRYPER!!
I haven't been listening to Stryper in-depth since about the Fallen era. Not like I DISLIKED those albums or anything, I was just listening to different stuff at that point. However, I gave this album a listen after it came out and BRO, easily a top 3 Stryper album of all time for me! I really felt like y'all peaked at NMHTP, which was previously my favorite (followed closely by THWTD), but this is so good that it may be my favorite, I'm not sure. In general, it has such an energy to it that you guys haven't had since the 80s and every single song was just super solid!
Damn ! This is NOT the Stryper of my youth..... this sounds dirty, raw and heavy af ! And Michael, how is it your voice sounds stronger and better than ever?! This song is the very definition of powerful .!
@Grant Stander The current lineup is 3/4 the Stryper of old as they replaced Tim Gaines with Perry Richardson after Tim's departure in 2017. Michael Sweet (lead vocals and rhythm/lead guitar), Robert Sweet (drums) and Oz Fox (rhythm/lead guitar) are, still, in the band to this day.
OMG what a track!!!!!!!!! That’s a top 10 all time for stryper songs I believe. Unique song structure..I’m feeling the various elements and those vokills!! I gotta hear it again.
The vocals are insane. Then again, I get it. I'm not religious, but I do believe in a higher power and what you think about you bring about. I believe this band has always envisioned themselves to be bigger and better and not let the demons of the world succumb them. They take care of themselves. Aside from Against The Law (a record I felt strayed from their message), they're probably one of the few and I mean a fist full of bands that have progressed in their writing, gotten heavier and more beautiful as a band. Again, I am not Christian, HOWEVER, I will always LOVE Stryper because they're a positive band that kicks any other 80's bands ass!

VOICE! 🤯Insane! Most iconic voices are getting slowly worse with age, but Michael's is pristine! Ya'll are a powerhouse. Riffs, solos, swagger, energy, look, vocals... don't stop doing what you do, Stryper. You are KILLING it! 😎💯
It's like the 80's never ended and the 16 year old me never grew up. The only front man in the world who's voice has NEVER degraded with age. Michael, you are truly blessed with miracle vocals! LOVE IT! 😍
the duel of guitars 👏👏 the voice, the drums, the bass all amazing. and something very important the yellow and black stripes!!! that's the stryper stamp👏
STRYPER was my very first concert EVER. The year was 1986 and it was the To Hell With The Devil tour. I was only 15. To hear them still going even stronger 36 years later is just amazing to me. Wish I could've met y'all. Keep up the great music!
I believe To Hell with the Devil was their breakout album. The track "Honestly" made it on not only Christian charts but also made it on the mainstream charts. After that, the rest is music history.

That scream at the start had me…hook, line & sinker.. What a song. The album is going blow minds
VOICE! 🤯Insane! Most iconic voices are getting slowly worse with age, but Michael's is pristine! Ya'll are a powerhouse. Riffs, solos, swagger, energy, look, vocals... don't stop doing what you do, Stryper. You are KILLING it! 😎💯
Man, Michael can still hit the high note and he and Oz shred tasty solos w/o over doing it or over playing it, awesome 🤘🤘🤘
SOS SATANICO VOS? PUES PUSISTES ESAS MANOS CON GUAMPAS SIMBOLO DE ADORACIÓN AL DIABLO POR SI NO SABES. ANDÁ ARREPENTIRTE
Haven't heard anything from stryper since the 80s. Very impressive
You can clearly hear he has a healthy singing style and that helped him to keep his voice at that age. Really great job on the vocals.
It's like the 80's never ended and the 16 year old me never grew up. The only front man in the world who's voice has NEVER degraded with age. Michael, you are truly blessed with miracle vocals! LOVE IT! 😍
This...is impressive! This one song sheds the glam skin and now they sound like Priest? I want more of this
the duel of guitars 👏👏 the voice, the drums, the bass all amazing. and something very important the yellow and black stripes!!! that's the stryper stamp👏
Stryper is defining metal. and has been. R&R hall of fame in my heart ❤️ always
Amazing performance !!!!!!!! I LOVE STRYPER ❤
