One of my favorite songs of all time, off one of my favorite albums. One of those rare albums where you can listen to it from start to finish and love every single note of every song.
I think the excellent part about the animation in this video, is that you realize that Cherry is animated nude. And the clothing is an additional layer on her body. Or at least it appears that way. I don't know a lot about animation, but it really gives this impression.
This was one of the absolute best albums ever recorded by anyone in history. I remember getting this album, hearing a few songs and loving it. Then, my friend came stay the night. We put the album on and went to sleep. We both woke up in the dark to the intro of this song. We both woke up freaked out and wondering what the heck was going on. We can still laugh about it and love this album nearly 30 years later.

This song makes so much sense after looking up "Uncle Wiggily." It's a board game similar to Candy Land where a player must avoid the skeezix and other terrible creatures to arrive at space 100. Space 109 is the transition from board game to real life, when the child has to avoid the terrors of an adult that bears the personage of the skeezix. Hence the creepy Swiss triplets to open the song giving the vibe of a terrifying childhood nightmare. Something that should be fun that has been turned into horror. Begging the line "when painful eyes begin to cringe as you walk through the door." A parents return home should be a celebration instead it is one of the many pitfalls a child must learn to avoid in this twisted game.
Space 109 leads into the mouth of the skeezicks... spelled skeezix for copyright I'm sure look at older versions of the game. There's one with the skeezicks looking like a tree "arboreal" and one looks like a crow man that's "gaunt or emaciated" looking, as birds feast on worms... "ascaris" or can be found inside trees too... you're welcome 😊 🤘
Amazing song. My son and me play music (me- bad, him- good). We have church later. Anyway we were just going over examples of current CCM, how lame and formulaic it is, so I played him this for an example of awesome, creative music played by expressive, talented Christians.
Older versions of the uncle wiggily board game has space 109 leading into the mouth of the skeezicks. Different years and versions of the game depict the skeezicks as being a tree monster others a humanoidish crow creature and one version had the crowish version holding a crossbow.... sick 🤘
Go read the lyrics first, the guitar can not be denied, the drums are perfect, the beginning scream was awesome, and the cat part was interesting and creepy. This song fucking shreds ass wide open on a Tuesday. Not to mention the darkness and relatable nature of the story. A kid playing a game that he knows he's probably going to lose. The monster of the story is emaciated and filled with worms... terrible, and he has to face it drawing for space #109 he feels dred in losing the game and relates the feeling of facing Mr. Skeezix with facing his asshole dad when he walks through the door. Then the song reminds you that children are meant to be a gift of love sent to you from the lord and you are only to show them love....
