Ok I figured out the song by looking up the lyrics. In schools they teach students that to accept this chart as absolute. However, recently scientists discovered some errors. On the other hand schools take Jesus, Christianity and God's Word out of school and these are absolute truth. This is what the song is talking about. It says God is truth. Thank you Jesus !!!

Came across some pretty mean comments on it below, but hey, God's got to be pleased with it; and that's what counts.

Pathogenic is still my #1 Album overall. Perfect Night for a A Hanging is my favorite song (from Collected Works). Antiseptic Bloodbath was okay, but nothing caught my attention to the point of wanting several re-listens. Despite that, they remain a highly original band.
If you have a desire not to get this album then knock yourself out. But please don't insult the band and speak of them in this way.
I don't think so. I think that it is hitting at a greater meaning:
Our scientific understanding is based on basics, just as everything "according to a general idea of physics/chemistry" is based on the elements, so if we discover that what we have based our "faith" on is faulty, (An error was found) then we come to realize that we believed a "lie."
But the truth that God is, God was, and God is to come is always the truth, regardless of what we (humans) try to create.

since when has physics had no problem with something coming from nothing? Last I checked there was a law of physics called the law of conservation of energy/first law of thermodynamics that says energy remains constant; no new matter comes into existence or leaves existence.

Sou ateu e acho as letras deles excelentes, expressar uma ideologia ou pensamento do autor é o natural em uma composição. Caso pecassem em coerência interna, construção rítmica das frases, contradição com as demais faixas, entre outros, eu entenderia a crítica a letra, porém, simplesmente criticar a ideologia dos caras é algo digno de um pré-adolescente revoltado com os pais religiosos.
This album was a massive letdown for me...the first poor Tourniquet album....being a fan since 1990 i thought they could never do anything wrong, but sadly this album was average at best....Never thought i'd sell a TQT cd but i did with this album.
I am a huge Tourniquet fan and I like this album more than all of them. I love Fed by Ravens Eaten by Vultures, Flowering Cadaver, and Lost Language of the Andamans the best. Tourniquet is one if not my favorite bands of all time.
Fed by ravens, Lost languange, Chamunda temple, the Maiden who slept... are great songs man. Maybe it's growing old that interferes with the ability to enjoy an album for all of us...

Listen to him, especially compared to the first three albums. He's a joke.
I've always found this band interesting, but until they get a new vocalist it's very hard for me to take Ted and company seriously. I won't be buying a "new" Tourniquet album anytime soon, and this one is no different.

This is the worst song Tourniquet has ever released. It is so bad it makes me cringe, from the anti-science to the wahooing part. The only good thing that can be said about it is it's on the same album as one of their best songs ever, Fed by Ravens Eaten by Vultures.

Christian Americans whining about "god and prayer taken out of public schools" are being ridiculous, insecure and selfish. First things first, there isn't a power on this planet that can take god out of any place. Since when would any god obey man made laws? Remember, "god is everywhere". Secondly, there isn't a power on this planet that could stop anybody from praying if they wanted to. FORCED PRAYER has been deemed unconstitutional and taken out schools, and rightfully so. Essentially, the Christian Taliban are getting butt-hurt because the government isn't endorsing and enforcing their particular brand of ideology. Well too bad, America isn't a theocracy and Christians aren't the only citizens paying taxes.
For a lot of Christians, secularism is a dirty word. This is absurd. Anybody who is anti-secular are ANTI-FREEDOM whether they realize it or not.
Finally, about science. Science is about knowledge and the pursuit of knowledge. Positions and views are always going to continue to change and expand as long as new information and discovery's occur. Trying to discredit science by pointing out past errors demonstrates a skewed and ignorant perception of what science is in general.
Well I don't think their point was that to discredit science. Probably just pointing out the fallibility of human knowledge and discrediting science as a means to be arrogant against God. You have a number of popularized scientists have gone way beyond what science can really say with certainty to discredit the idea of God. But this juxtaposed against the limitations and fallibility of human knowledge paints this as not wise.
As far as American Christians go certainly many of them have at least mild theocratic tendencies. Still it is hardly befitting to reasonable civil discourse to call them the "Christian Taliban". Basically that just shows inherent unreasonableness and unwillingness to engage in rational discussion. If you think it is reasonable to lump Tourniquet in with those sort of people you have probably misinterpreted their lyrics or simply not tried to in the first place.
Judging from your response, you're not American and maybe slightly unaware of the culture war constantly being waged in the States from the Christian Right. To say that many have "mild theocratic views" is to put it mildly. Many (of which have power and influence) would love nothing more than to turn America into the Christian version of Iran. Even if it isn't only blatantly against the 1st amendment, but also against what Jesus was for (Matthew 6:5) Hence, my Taliban reference.
Many Christians over here actually have the audacity to claim that they're being "persecuted". While at the same time they will protest and deny other citizens the same rights they already have.
Are the members of Tourniquet part of this movement? I honestly can't say for certain, but these lyrics suggest that they are. Besides, my post was more counter arguing the message of the song than it was accusing the band of anything. I apologize if it came across that way
And sure, there are some scientists who are outspoken atheists, but science itself and the science method doesn't have anything to do with proving or disproving "god". God is an unfalsifiable being/concept and therefor, useless in the realm of science. Many (but not all I realize) can't wrap their heads around this. So there is this political push to put Creationism into the science circulam even though its not actual science to begin with.
matt w I am American, and I am more than aware of the culture war. I am an active participant against culture war in general. But more particularly illustrating to Christians how the culture ware is against both the words of Jesus and all guidelines for Christian living and relations to their fellow man.
When I say mild theocracy that is a comparative-statement. In comparison to most societies with theocratic views most American Christians are "relatively" mild.
Only a small fraction endorse anything close the oppression of sharia law.
Only the tiniest percentage express anything approaching the tyranny that many radical Islamic militants seem to want.

No, I have never seen them do anything to indicate that. Generally if anything, it would be opposite. I mean the primary focus of this album is animal rights and treating animals with decency. They are largely completely outside the mainstream conservative christian convention.
I get that its lyrics could be construed as possibly leading to support of not teaching evolution in public schools, but only in the paradigm of the culture war. Culture wars are almost always destructive. It is often simply not the way to change society permanently and in a balanced way.
Primarily it is civil rational dialog is what is going to change society. Encouraging everyone have a more tolerant "life and let live" attitude is more beneficial then trying to force everyone to accept and applaud everything. Especially if is through public shaming and fighting culture wars. Culture wars often simply encourage people to dig into their current ideologies even deeper and more dogmatically.
