      Just have to add, I agree with this.. Perfect guide, and perfect hygiene.
      Every other guide have people touching meat with bare hands, touching every spice bottle & everything in the kitchen etc. Disgusting.
      Always happy to see the gloves come out!

    • @Znipo93
      @Znipo93 4 года назад +2

      @Palm Coast Adventures what is your point?
      If I grab a piece of meat then proceed to grab every spice bottle that I own.. I am spreading bacteria.
      If I use a clean glove to grab the meat, then throw the glove away, I am not spreading bacteria.
      I just think it's nice to see someone take care of their hygiene and to keep a clean cooking space.

    A few tips for you. 1. After trimming the pork, ad the rub, heat a frying pan, use a few Tbsp. olive oil, when it is very hot, add the pork, turn it every minute so it browns all over. 2. Use that whole sweet onion. Add garlic. Make some better sauce than Sweet Baby .... it's mostly corn syrup. POW. Enjoy, Chef

    8 hours on high? I thought it's supposed to be on low??? And is that rub recipe for 2 roasts or 1? It seems like a lot.

    Making it for dinner tonight, thanks! Didn't have the liquid smoke, so hopefully the flavor still turns out good.

    I love Sweet Baby Rays. Great flavor. But i don't understand why you need to add all the other seasonings/spices. The SBRs will just cover it all up. I have done the same process but without all the extras and it was great. I do need some of those claws though.

    Daryl, I really enjoyed watching your method. Adding the Coke Cola is a bit of cleverness that I will try next batch I make. By the way, you are right to warn folks about the liquid smoke. Too much of that and a man will be belching smoke for three days.

    dang, that is a sharp knife! went through meat and the onion like butter! this looks so yummy, wish i could forget it is a,"pork butt!" lol

      @jamesgeorge6290 7 лет назад +6

      kerikins just so you know a pork butt isn't from the rear of the pig. It is actually the upper part of the front leg. Not sure how that cut of meat got its name but it is misleading.

    Might have been nice if you lost the music. Couldn't hear you just the music. Looked good but I'll never know.
