- Hi everyone! Recently on Instagram, I asked what type of videos you guys would like to see on this channel and the most common answer received was a "hip-opening" class. So, here it is! :)

This has been my all time favorite hip stretch/opener stretch to do every week. It's so beautiful and relaxing and just makes me go "mmmmm" everytime I get a good stretch.

I love your pacing. For me, there's a nice balance between having enough time to achieve a stretch in each asana and keeping the energy moving. I always end up feeling great.

Hi Jessica! Great video ❤️ I do have a question! How do you know if you have tight hips and what are the benefits of doing "hip-opening“ movements?
(So sorry if these sound like silly questions it’s just I’m still new to yoga and I hear this terminology being used more and more but not sure WHY this is so important for us to do)!
I am not sure how Jessica would answer, but for me personally, I have very tight hips which sometimes become very painful (due to slipped discs in my back). I know because I can feel the tightness especially when going from sitting to standing. Also, when pushing on my hip flexors with my hands I can feel how tight and tender they are. Hope this is somewhat helpful
