Recently switched to tblades and my stabilizer screws came loose and will not sit in the metal screw slot and spins emptily. Is this meant to happen?? Edit: 3 of the screws out of the 6 on the left foot.

Don't you lose a f-stop when using the APS-C, the 2.8 becomes a 4.0?
Yes you loose around one stop. f2.8 becomes something like f3.2. Nothing to serious, in low Light i prefer the R8 anyways
